1 Ti Dafidi. Maskili. Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn tí a dárí ìrékọjá wọn jì, tí a sì bo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn mọ́lẹ̀.

O the blessedness of a man, To whom YHWH does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 Nígbà tí mo dákẹ́, egungun mi di gbígbó dànù nípa ìkérora mi ní gbogbo ọjọ́.
When I have kept silence, my bones have become old, Through my roaring all the day.
4 Nítorí pé ni ọ̀sán àti ní òru ọwọ́ rẹ̀ wúwo sí mi lára; agbára mi gbẹ tán gẹ́gẹ́ bí ooru ẹ̀ẹ̀rùn. (Sela)
When by day and by night Your hand is heavy on me, My moisture has been changed Into the droughts of summer. (Selah)
5 Èmi jẹ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi sí ọ àti pé èmi kò sì fi àìṣòdodo mi pamọ́. Èmi wí pé, “Èmi yóò jẹ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi fún Olúwa,” ìwọ sì dárí ẹ̀bi ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi jì mí. (Sela)
I cause You to know my sin, And I have not covered my iniquity. I have said, “I confess to YHWH concerning My transgressions,” And You have taken away the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
6 Nítorí náà jẹ́ kí gbogbo àwọn olódodo máa gbà àdúrà sí ọ ní ìgbà tí a lè rí ọ; nítòótọ́ nígbà tí ìṣàn omi ńlá bá ru sókè, wọn kì yóò lè dé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀.
For every saintly one prays this to You, In the time to find [You]. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, They do not come to him.
7 Ìwọ ni ibi ìpamọ́ mi; ìwọ yóò pa mí mọ́ kúrò nínú ìyọnu; ìwọ yóò fi orin ìgbàlà yí mi ka. (Sela)
You [are] a hiding place for me, You keep me from distress, Surround me [with] songs of deliverance. (Selah)
8 Èmi yóò kọ́ ọ, èmi yóò sì fi ẹsẹ̀ rẹ lé ọ̀nà tí ìwọ yóò rìn èmi yóò máa gbà ọ́ ní ìyànjú, èmi yóò sì máa fi ojú mi tọ́ ọ.
I cause you to act wisely, And direct you in the way that you go, I cause My eye to take counsel concerning you.
9 Má ṣe dàbí ẹṣin tàbí ìbáaka, tí kò ní òye ẹnu ẹni tí a gbọdọ̀ fi ìjánu bọ̀, kí wọn má ba à súnmọ́ ọ.
Do not be as a horse—as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near to you.
10 Ọ̀pọ̀ ìkáàánú ní yóò wà fún ènìyàn búburú, ṣùgbọ́n ìfẹ́ Olúwa tí ó dúró ṣinṣin ni yóò yí àwọn tí ó ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú Olúwa ká.
Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As for him who is trusting in YHWH, Kindness surrounds him.
11 Ẹ yọ̀ nínú Olúwa, kí ẹ sì ní inú dídùn, ẹ̀yìn olódodo; ẹ sì máa kọrin, gbogbo ẹ̀yìn tí àyà yín dúró ṣinṣin.
Be glad in YHWH, and rejoice, you righteous, And sing, all you upright of heart!
