< Psalms 3 >
1 Saamu ti Dafidi. Nígbà ti ó sá fún ọmọ rẹ̀ Absalomu. Olúwa, báwo ni àwọn ọ̀tá mi ṣe pọ̀ tó báyìí! Báwo ni àwọn ti ó dìde sí mi ṣe pọ̀ tó!
A Psalme of Dauid, when he fled from his sonne Absalom. Lord, howe are mine aduersaries increased? howe many rise against me?
2 Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni ó ń sọ ní ti tèmi, pé “Ọlọ́run kò nígbà á là.” (Sela)
Many say to my soule, There is no helpe for him in God. (Selah)
3 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ni asà yí mi ká, Olúwa; ìwọ fi ògo fún mi, ìwọ sì gbé orí mi sókè.
But thou Lord art a buckler for me: my glory, and the lifter vp of mine head.
4 Olúwa ni mo kígbe sókè sí, ó sì dá mi lóhùn láti orí òkè mímọ́ rẹ̀ wá. (Sela)
I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, and he heard me out of his holy mountaine. (Selah)
5 Èmi dùbúlẹ̀, mo sì sùn; mo sì tún padà jí, nítorí Olúwa ni ó ń gbé mi ró.
I layed me downe and slept, and rose vp againe: for the Lord susteined me.
6 Èmi kì yóò bẹ̀rù ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún ènìyàn tí wọ́n rọ̀gbà yí mi ká.
I will not be afrayde for ten thousand of the people, that should beset me round about.
7 Dìde, Olúwa! Gbà mí, Ọlọ́run mi! Lu gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá mi ní àgbọ̀n; kí o sì ká eyín àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
O Lord, arise: helpe me, my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies vpon the cheeke bone: thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa ni ìgbàlà ti wá. Kí ìbùkún rẹ wà lórí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ. (Sela)
Saluation belongeth vnto the Lord, and thy blessing is vpon thy people. (Selah)
