< Psalms 3 >
1 Saamu ti Dafidi. Nígbà ti ó sá fún ọmọ rẹ̀ Absalomu. Olúwa, báwo ni àwọn ọ̀tá mi ṣe pọ̀ tó báyìí! Báwo ni àwọn ti ó dìde sí mi ṣe pọ̀ tó!
A Psalm of David. When he fled from the face of his son, Absalom. Lord, why have those who trouble me been multiplied? Many rise up against me.
2 Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni ó ń sọ ní ti tèmi, pé “Ọlọ́run kò nígbà á là.” (Sela)
Many say to my soul, “There is no salvation for him in his God.” (Pause)
3 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ni asà yí mi ká, Olúwa; ìwọ fi ògo fún mi, ìwọ sì gbé orí mi sókè.
But you, Lord, are my supporter, my glory, and the one who raises up my head.
4 Olúwa ni mo kígbe sókè sí, ó sì dá mi lóhùn láti orí òkè mímọ́ rẹ̀ wá. (Sela)
I have cried out to the Lord with my voice, and he has heard me from his holy mountain. (Pause)
5 Èmi dùbúlẹ̀, mo sì sùn; mo sì tún padà jí, nítorí Olúwa ni ó ń gbé mi ró.
I have slept, and I have been stupefied. But I awakened because the Lord has taken me up.
6 Èmi kì yóò bẹ̀rù ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún ènìyàn tí wọ́n rọ̀gbà yí mi ká.
I will not fear the thousands of people surrounding me. Rise up, Lord. Save me, my God.
7 Dìde, Olúwa! Gbà mí, Ọlọ́run mi! Lu gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá mi ní àgbọ̀n; kí o sì ká eyín àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
For you have struck all those who oppose me without cause. You have broken the teeth of sinners.
8 Láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa ni ìgbàlà ti wá. Kí ìbùkún rẹ wà lórí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ. (Sela)
Salvation is of the Lord, and your blessing is upon your people. (Pause)
