< Psalms 29 >

1 Saamu ti Dafidi. Ẹ fi fún Olúwa, ẹ̀yin ẹ̀dá ọ̀run, ẹ fi fún Olúwa, ògo àti alágbára.
Ascribe to Adonai, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to Adonai kavod ·weighty glory· and strength.
2 Fi fún Olúwa, àní ògo orúkọ rẹ̀; sin Olúwa nínú ẹwà ìwà mímọ́.
Ascribe to Adonai the kavod ·weighty glory· due to his name. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship Adonai in holy array.
3 Ohùn Olúwa n ré àwọn omi kọjá; Ọlọ́run ògo sán àrá, Olúwa san ara.
Adonai’s voice is on the waters. The God of kavod ·weighty glory· thunders, even Adonai on many waters.
4 Ohùn Olúwa ní agbára; ohùn Olúwa kún fún ọláńlá.
Adonai’s voice is powerful. Adonai’s voice is full of majesty.
5 Ohùn Olúwa fa igi kedari; Olúwa náà ló fọ́ igi kedari Lebanoni ya.
Adonai’s voice breaks the cedars. Yes, Adonai breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 Ó mú Lebanoni fo bí i ọmọ màlúù, àti Sirioni bí ọmọ àgbáǹréré.
He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.
7 Ohùn Olúwa ń ya bí ọwọ́ iná mọ̀nà.
Adonai’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.
8 Ohùn Olúwa ń mi aginjù. Olúwa mi aginjù Kadeṣi.
Adonai’s voice shakes the wilderness. Adonai shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 Ohùn Olúwa ní ó lọ igi óákù, ó n mú abo àgbọ̀nrín bí, ó sì bọ́ igi igbó sí ìhòhò. Àti nínú tẹmpili rẹ̀ gbogbo ohùn wí pé, “Ògo!”
Adonai’s voice makes the deer calve, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, “Kavod ·Weighty glory·!”
10 Olúwa jókòó, Ó sì jẹ ọba lórí ìṣàn omi; Olúwa jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí Ọba títí láéláé.
Adonai sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, Adonai sits as King forever.
11 Kí Olúwa fi agbára fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀; bùkún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àlàáfíà.
Adonai will give strength to his people. Adonai will bless his people with peace.
