< Psalms 26 >

1 Ti Dafidi. Ṣe ìdájọ́ mi, Olúwa, nítorí tí mo ti ń rìn nínú ìwà òtítọ́ ọ̀ mi, mo sì ti ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú Olúwa, ǹjẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ mi kì yóò yẹ̀.
Yahweh, show that I (am innocent/have not done what is wrong). I always do what is right; I have trusted in you and never doubted [that you would help me].
2 Wádìí mi wò, Ìwọ Olúwa, kí o sì dán mi wò, dán àyà àti ọkàn mi wò;
Yahweh, examine what I have done and test me; thoroughly evaluate what I think [IDM].
3 nítorí ìfẹ́ ẹ̀ rẹ tí ó dúró ṣinṣin ń bẹ níwájú mi, èmí sì ti rìn nínú òtítọ́ rẹ.
I never forget that you faithfully love me, I conduct my life according to your truth.
4 Èmi kò jókòó pẹ̀lú aláìṣòótọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kì yóò bá àwọn àgàbàgebè wọlé.
I do not spend my time with liars and I stay away from hypocrites.
5 Èmi ti kórìíra àwùjọ àwọn ènìyàn búburú èmi kì yóò sì bá àwọn ènìyàn ìkà jókòó.
I do not like to be with evil people, and I avoid wicked people.
6 Èmí ó wẹ ọwọ́ mi ní àìlẹ́ṣẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi yóò sì yí pẹpẹ rẹ ká Olúwa.
Yahweh, I wash my hands to show that I (am innocent/have not done what was wrong). As I join with others marching around your altar,
7 Èmi yóò kọrin sókè àní orin ọpẹ́, èmi yóò sì máa sọ iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ̀.
we sing songs to thank you, and we tell others the wonderful things that you [have done].
8 Háà Olúwa, èmí ń fẹ́ ilé rẹ níbi tí ìwọ ń gbé, àní níbi tí ògo rẹ̀ wà.
Yahweh, I love [to be in] the temple where you live, in the place where your glory appears.
9 Má ṣe gbá mi dànù pẹ̀lú àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, tàbí ẹ̀mí mi pẹ̀lú àwọn ọkùnrin tí òǹgbẹ ẹ̀jẹ̀ ń gbẹ,
Do not get rid of me like you get rid of sinners; do not cause me to die like you cause those who murder [MTY] people to die,
10 àwọn tí ọwọ́ wọn kún fún ìwà ibi, tí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún wọn kún fún àbẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀.
and people who [SYN] are ready to do wicked things and people who are always taking bribes.
11 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi ó máa rìn nínú ìwà títọ́; rà mí padà, kí o sì ṣàánú fún mi.
But as for me, I always try to do what is right. So be kind to me and rescue me.
12 Ẹsẹ̀ mi dúró lórí ilẹ̀ tí ó tẹ́jú; nínú ìjọ ńlá èmi yóò fi ìbùkún fún Olúwa.
I stand in places where I am safe, and when [all your people] gather together, I praise you.
