< Psalms 22 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Tí ohùn orin “àgbọ̀nrín òwúrọ̀.” Saamu ti Dafidi. Ọlọ́run mi, Ọlọ́run mi, èéṣe tí ìwọ fi kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀? Èéṣe tí o fi jìnnà láti gbà mí là, àní sí igbe ìkérora mi?
For the Chief Musician; set to “The Doe of the Morning.” A Psalm by David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
2 Ọlọ́run mi, ní ọ̀sán gangan ni mo kígbe, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kò dá mi ní ohùn: àti ní òru èmi kò dákẹ́.
My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
3 Ṣùgbọ́n síbẹ̀ ẹni mímọ́ ni Ìwọ; ẹni tí ó tẹ ìyìn Israẹli dó.
But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.
4 Àwọn baba ńlá wa ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú rẹ; wọ́n ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé, ìwọ sì gbà wọ́n.
Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.
5 Ìwọ ni wọ́n sun ẹkún sí, wọ́n sì ní ìgbàlà; ìwọ ni wọ́n gbẹ́kẹ̀lé, a kò sì dójútì wọ́n.
They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
8 “Ó gbẹ́kẹ̀ rẹ̀ lé Olúwa; jẹ́ kí Olúwa gbà á là. Jẹ́ kí ó gbà á là, nítorí pé, ó ní ayọ̀ nínú rẹ̀.”
“He trusts in the LORD. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
9 Síbẹ̀ ìwọ ni ó ti mú mi wá láti inú; ìwọ ni ó mú mi wà láìléwu, nígbà tí mo rọ̀ mọ́ ọmú ìyá mi.
But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.
10 Ìwọ ni a fi mí lé lọ́wọ́ láti inú ìyá mi wá, nígbà tí ìyá mí sì ti bí mi, ìwọ ni Ọlọ́run mi.

They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.

16 Àwọn ajá yí mi ká; ìjọ àwọn ènìyàn ibi ti ká mi mọ́, wọ́n gún mi lọ́wọ́, wọ́n sì gún mi lẹ́sẹ̀.
For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

20 Gba ọkàn mi sílẹ̀ lọ́wọ́ idà, àní ẹ̀mí mi lọ́wọ́ agbára àwọn ajá.
