< Psalms 19 >

1 Fún adarí orin. Saamu ti Dafidi. Àwọn ọ̀run ń sọ nípa ti ògo Ọlọ́run; àwọsánmọ̀ ń sọ nípa ti iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. The heavens, are telling the glory of GOD, And, the work of his hands, the expanse is declaring;
2 Wọ́n ń fọhùn ní ọjọ́ dé ọjọ́; wọ́n ń fi ìmọ̀ hàn ní alẹ́ dé alẹ́.
Day, unto day, doth pour forth speech, and, night, unto night, doth breathe out knowledge.
3 Kò sí ohùn tàbí èdè níbi tí a kò gbé gbọ́ ìró wọn.
There is no speech, and there are no words, —Unheard is their voice!
4 Ohùn wọn jáde lọ sí gbogbo orílẹ̀ ayé, ọ̀rọ̀ wọn títí dé òpin ilẹ̀ ayé. Ó ti kọ́ àgọ́ fún oòrùn nínú àwọn ọ̀run.
[Yet] through all the earth, hath gone forth their voice, —and, to the end of the world, their sayings, —For the sun, hath he set up a tent therein;
5 Tí ó dàbí ọkọ ìyàwó tí ó ń jáde ti yàrá rẹ̀ wá, òun yọ bí alágbára ọkùnrin tí ó ń sáré ìje.
And, he, is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, he rejoiceth as a hero to run a race:
6 Ìjáde lọ rẹ̀ ni láti òpin ọ̀run wá àti àyíká rẹ̀ sì dé ìpínlẹ̀ rẹ̀; kò sì sí ohun tí ó pamọ́ kúrò nínú oore rẹ̀.
From one end of the heavens, is his going forth, and, his circuit, to the other end thereof—and, nothing, is hid from his glowing heat.
7 Pípé ni òfin Olúwa, ó ń yí ọkàn padà. Ẹ̀rí Olúwa dánilójú, ó sọ òpè di ọlọ́gbọ́n.
The, law of Yahweh, is complete, Bringing back the soul, The, testimony of Yahweh, is confirmed, Making wise the simple;
8 Ìlànà Olúwa tọ̀nà, ó ń fi ayọ̀ fún ọkàn. Àṣẹ Olúwa ni mímọ́, ó ń fi ìmọ́lẹ̀ fún ojú.
The precepts of Yahweh, are right, Rejoicing the heart, The, commandment of Yahweh, is pure, Enlightening the eyes;
9 Ìbẹ̀rù Olúwa mọ́, ó ń faradà títí láéláé. Ìdájọ́ Olúwa dájú òdodo ni gbogbo wọn.
The, reverence of Yahweh, is clean, Enduring evermore, —The, decisions of Yahweh, are faithful, They are righteous, altogether:
10 Wọn ṣọ̀wọ́n ju wúrà lọ, ju wúrà tí o dára jùlọ, wọ́n dùn ju oyin lọ, àti ju afárá oyin lọ.
More desirable, than gold, yea than much fine gold, Sweeter, also than honey, or than droppings from the comb.
11 Nípa wọn ni a ti ṣí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ létí; nípa pípa wọ́n mọ́, èrè púpọ̀ ń bẹ.
Even thine own servant, taketh warning by them, In the keeping of them, great is the reward.
12 Ta ni ó lè mọ àṣìṣe rẹ̀? Dáríjì mí nínú àṣìṣe mi tí ó pamọ́.
Mistakes, who perceiveth? From things that are hidden, acquit me:
13 Wẹ ìránṣẹ́ rẹ mọ́ kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àmọ̀ọ́n-mọ̀-dá; má ṣe jẹ kí wọn kí ó jẹ ọba lórí mi. Nígbà náà ní èmi yóò dúró ṣinṣin, èmi yóò sì ṣe aláìlẹ́bi kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ńlá.
Even from the presumptuous, keep back thy servant, May they not have dominion over me, Then, shall I be blameless, and shall be acquitted from great transgression:
14 Jẹ́ kí ọ̀rọ̀ ẹnu mi àti àṣàrò ọkàn mi kí ó jẹ́ ìtẹ́wọ́gbà ní ojú rẹ, Ìwọ Olúwa àpáta mi, àti Olùdáǹdè mi.
The words of my mouth, and the soft utterance of my heart, shall come with acceptance, before thee, O Yahweh, my Rock and my Redeemer!
