< Psalms 14 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Ti Dafidi. Aṣiwèrè wí nínú ọkàn rẹ̀ pé, “Ko sí Ọlọ́run.” Wọ́n díbàjẹ́, iṣẹ́ wọn sì burú; kò sí ẹnìkan tí yóò ṣe rere.
[For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.
2 Olúwa sì bojú wolẹ̀ láti ọ̀run wá lórí àwọn ọmọ ènìyàn bóyá ó le rí ẹni tí òye yé, ẹnikẹ́ni tó ń wá Ọlọ́run.
Jehovah looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
3 Gbogbo wọn sì ti yípadà, gbogbo wọn sì ti díbàjẹ́; kò sì ṣí ẹni tí ó ń ṣe rere, kò sí ẹnìkan.
They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4 Ǹjẹ́ olùṣe búburú kò ha ní ìmọ̀? Àwọn tí ó ń pa ènìyàn mi jẹ bí ẹní jẹun; wọn kò sì ké pe Olúwa?
Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on Jehovah.
5 Wọ́n wà níbẹ̀, tí a bò mọ́lẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ẹ̀rù, nítorí Ọlọ́run wà ní àwùjọ àwọn olódodo.
There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ẹ̀yin olùṣe búburú da èrò àwọn tálákà rú, ṣùgbọ́n Olúwa ni ààbò wọn.
You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but Jehovah is his refuge.
7 Ìgbàlà àwọn Israẹli yóò ti Sioni wá! Nígbà tí Olúwa bá mú ìkólọ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ padà, jẹ́ kí Jakọbu kí ó yọ̀, kí inú Israẹli kí ó dùn!
Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When Jehovah restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
