< Psalms 139 >

1 Fún adarí orin. Ti Dafidi. Saamu. Olúwa, ìwọ tí wádìí mi, ìwọ sì ti mọ̀ mí.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Ìwọ mọ̀ ìjókòó mi àti ìdìde mi, ìwọ mọ̀ èrò mi ní ọ̀nà jíjìn réré.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Ìwọ yí ipa ọ̀nà mi ká àti ìdùbúlẹ̀ mi, gbogbo ọ̀nà mi sì di mí mọ̀ fún ọ.
Thou measurest my going about and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 Nítorí tí kò sí ọ̀rọ̀ kan ní ahọ́n mi, kíyèsi i, Olúwa, ìwọ mọ̀ ọ́n pátápátá.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether.
5 Ìwọ sé mi mọ́ lẹ́yìn àti níwájú, ìwọ sì fi ọwọ́ rẹ lé mi.
Thou hast hemmed me in behind and before, and laid Thy hand upon me.
6 Irú ìmọ̀ yìí jẹ ohun ìyanu fún mi jù; ó ga, èmi kò le mọ̀ ọ́n.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; too high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Níbo ní èmi yóò gbé lọ kúrò ni ọwọ́ ẹ̀mí rẹ? Tàbí níbo ni èmi yóò sáré kúrò níwájú rẹ?
Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?
8 Bí èmi bá gòkè lọ sí ọ̀run, ìwọ wà níbẹ̀; bí èmí ba sì tẹ́ ẹní mi ní ipò òkú, kíyèsi i, ìwọ wà níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú. (Sheol h7585)
If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in the nether-world, behold, Thou art there. (Sheol h7585)
9 Èmi ìbá mú ìyẹ́ apá òwúrọ̀, kí èmi sì lọ jókòó ní ìhà òpin Òkun,
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 àní, níbẹ̀ náà ni ọwọ́ rẹ̀ yóò fà mí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ yóò sì dì mímú.
Even there would Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand would hold me.
11 Bí mo bá wí pé, “Ǹjẹ́ kí òkùnkùn kí ó bò mí mọ́lẹ̀; kí ìmọ́lẹ̀ kí ó di òru yí mi ká.”
And if I say: 'Surely the darkness shall envelop me, and the light about me shall be night';
12 Nítòótọ́ òkùnkùn kì í ṣú lọ́dọ̀ rẹ; ṣùgbọ́n òru tan ìmọ́lẹ̀ bí ọ̀sán; àti òkùnkùn àti ọ̀sán, méjèèjì bákan náà ní fún ọ.
Even the darkness is not too dark for Thee, but the night shineth as the day; the darkness is even as the light.
13 Nítorí ìwọ ni ó dá ọkàn mi; ìwọ ni ó bò mí mọ́lẹ̀ nínú ìyá mi.
For Thou hast made my reins; Thou hast knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 Èmi yóò yìn ọ, nítorí tẹ̀rù tẹ̀rù àti tìyanu tìyanu ní a dá mi; ìyanu ní iṣẹ́ rẹ; èyí nì ni ọkàn mi sì mọ̀ dájúdájú.
I will give thanks unto Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 Ẹ̀dá ara mi kò pamọ́ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ, nígbà tí a dá mi ní ìkọ̀kọ̀. Tí a sì ń ṣiṣẹ́ ní àràbarà ní ìhà ìsàlẹ̀ ilẹ̀ ayé,
My frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 ojú rẹ ti rí ohun ara mi nígbà tí a kò tí ì ṣe mí pé, àti nínú ìwé rẹ ni a ti kọ ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn sí, ní ọjọ́ tí a dá wọn, nígbà tí wọn kò tilẹ̀ tí ì sí.
Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance, and in Thy book they were all written — even the days that were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 Ọlọ́run, èrò inú rẹ tí ṣe iyebíye tó fún mi, iye wọn ti pọ̀ tó!
How weighty also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
18 Èmi ìbá kà wọ́n, wọ́n ju iyanrìn lọ ní iye: nígbà tí mo bá jí, èmi yóò wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ síbẹ̀.
If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand; were I to come to the end of them, I would still be with Thee.
19 Ọlọ́run ìbá jẹ́ pa àwọn ènìyàn búburú nítòótọ́; nítorí náà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi ẹ̀yin ọkùnrin ẹlẹ́jẹ̀.
If Thou but wouldest slay the wicked, O God — depart from me therefore, ye men of blood;
20 Ẹni tí ń fi inú búburú sọ̀rọ̀ sí ọ, àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ ń pe orúkọ rẹ ní asán!
Who utter Thy name with wicked thought, they take it for falsehood, even Thine enemies —
21 Olúwa, ǹjẹ́ èmi kò kórìíra àwọn tó kórìíra rẹ? Ǹjẹ́ inú mi kò a sì bàjẹ́ sí àwọn tí ó dìde sí ọ?
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee? And do not I strive with those that rise up against Thee?
22 Èmi kórìíra wọn ní àkótán; èmi kà wọ́n sí ọ̀tá mi.
I hate them with utmost hatred; I count them mine enemies.
23 Ọlọ́run, wádìí mi, kí o sì mọ ọkàn mí; dán mi wò, kí o sì mọ ìrò inú mi.
Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me, and know my thoughts;
24 Kí ó sì wò ó bí ipa ọ̀nà búburú kan bá wà nínú mi kí ó sì fi ẹsẹ̀ mi lé ọ̀nà àìnípẹ̀kun.
And see if there be any way in me that is grievous, and lead me in the way everlasting.
