Psalms 119
1 Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn ẹni tí ọ̀nà wọn wà láìlẹ́ṣẹ̀, ẹni tí í rìn ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú òfin Olúwa.
ALEPH. Happy are they that are upright in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn ẹni tí ń pa òfin rẹ̀ mọ́ tí wọn sì ń wá a pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn wọn.
Happy are they that keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart.
3 Wọn kò ṣe ohun tí kò dára; wọ́n rìn ní ọ̀nà rẹ̀.
Yea, they do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways.
4 Ìwọ ti la ìlànà rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ kí a sì pa wọ́n mọ́ gidigidi.
Thou hast ordained Thy precepts, that we should observe them diligently.
5 Ọ̀nà mi ìbá dúró ṣinṣin láti máa pa òfin rẹ̀ mọ́!
Oh that my ways were directed to observe Thy statutes!
6 Nígbà náà, ojú kò ní tì mí nígbà tí mo bá ń kíyèsi àṣẹ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
Then should I not be ashamed, when I have regard unto all Thy commandments.
7 Èmi yóò yìn ọ́ pẹ̀lú ọkàn ìdúró ṣinṣin bí èmi bá ti kọ́ òfin òdodo rẹ̀.
I will give thanks unto Thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn Thy righteous ordinances.
8 Èmi yóò gbọ́rọ̀ sí àṣẹ rẹ̀, má ṣe kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀ pátápátá.
I will observe Thy statutes; O forsake me not utterly.
9 Báwo ni àwọn ọ̀dọ́ yóò ti ṣe pa ọ̀nà rẹ̀ mọ́? Láti máa gbé ní ìbámu sí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man keep his way pure? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word.
10 Èmi wá ọ pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn mi má ṣe jẹ́ kí èmi yapa kúrò nínú àṣẹ rẹ.
With my whole heart have I sought Thee; O let me not err from Thy commandments.
11 Èmi ti pa ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ mọ́ ní ọkàn mi kí èmi má ba à ṣẹ̀ sí ọ.
Thy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.
12 Ìyìn ni fún Olúwa; kọ́ mi ní àṣẹ rẹ.
Blessed art Thou, O LORD; teach me Thy statutes.
13 Pẹ̀lú ètè mi èmi tún ṣírò gbogbo òfin tí ó wá láti ẹnu rẹ.
With my lips have I told all the ordinances of Thy mouth.
14 Èmi ń yọ̀ ní ọ̀nà ẹ̀rí rẹ, bí ènìyàn ṣe ń yọ̀ nínú ọláńlá.
I have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 Èmi ń ṣe àṣàrò nínú ìlànà rẹ èmi sì kíyèsi ọ̀nà rẹ.
I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways.
16 Inú mi dùn sí àṣẹ rẹ; èmi kì yóò gbàgbé ọ̀nà rẹ.
I will delight myself in Thy statutes; I will not forget Thy word.
17 Ṣe rere sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, èmi yóò sì wà láààyè; èmi yóò ṣe ìgbọ́ràn sí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with Thy servant that I may live, and I will observe Thy word.
18 La ojú mi kí èmi lè ríran rí ohun ìyanu tí ó wà nínú òfin rẹ.
Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law.
19 Àlejò ní èmi jẹ́ láyé, má ṣe pa àṣẹ rẹ mọ́ fún mi.
I am a sojourner in the earth; hide not Thy commandments from me.
20 Ọkàn mi pòruurù pẹ̀lú ìfojúsọ́nà nítorí òfin rẹ nígbà gbogbo.
My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto Thine ordinances at all times.
21 Ìwọ fi àwọn agbéraga bú, àwọn tí a fi gégùn ún tí ó ṣìnà kúrò nínú àṣẹ rẹ.
Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, that do err from Thy commandments.
22 Mú ẹ̀gàn àti àbùkù kúrò lára mi, nítorí èmi pa òfin rẹ mọ́.
Take away from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept Thy testimonies.
23 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn alákòóso kójọpọ̀, wọ́n ń sọ̀rọ̀ ìbàjẹ́ sí mi, ṣùgbọ́n ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ń ṣe àṣàrò nínú àṣẹ rẹ.
Even though princes sit and talk against me, thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes.
24 Òfin rẹ ni dídùn inú mi; àwọn ní olùbádámọ̀ràn mi.
Yea, Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counsellors.
25 Ọkàn mí lẹ̀ mọ́ erùpẹ̀; ìwọ sọ mí di ààyè gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust; quicken Thou me according to Thy word.
26 Èmi tún ọ̀nà mi ṣírò ìwọ sì dá mi lóhùn; kọ́ mi ní àṣẹ rẹ.
I told of my ways, and Thou didst answer me; teach me Thy statutes.
27 Jẹ́ kí n mọ ẹ̀kọ́ ìlànà rẹ: nígbà náà ni èmi yóò ṣe àṣàrò iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ.
Make me to understand the way of Thy precepts, that I may talk of Thy wondrous works.
28 Ọkàn mi ń ṣe àárẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìbànújẹ́; fi agbára fún mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
My soul melteth away for heaviness; sustain me according unto Thy word.
29 Pa mí mọ́ kúrò nínú ọ̀nà ẹ̀tàn fún mi ní oore-ọ̀fẹ́ nípa òfin rẹ.
Remove from me the way of falsehood; and grant me Thy law graciously.
30 Èmi ti yan ọ̀nà òtítọ́ èmi ti gbé ọkàn mi lé òfin rẹ.
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; Thine ordinances have I set before me.
31 Èmi yára di òfin rẹ mú. Olúwa má ṣe jẹ́ kí ojú kí ó tì mí.
I cleave unto Thy testimonies; O LORD, put me not to shame.
32 Èmi sáré ní ipa ọ̀nà àṣẹ rẹ, nítorí ìwọ, ti tú ọkàn mi sílẹ̀.
I will run the way of Thy commandments, for Thou dost enlarge my heart.
33 Kọ́ mi, Olúwa, láti tẹ̀lé àṣẹ rẹ; nígbà náà ni èmi yóò pa wọ́n mọ́ dé òpin.
HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of Thy statutes; and I will keep it at every step.
34 Fún mi ní òye, èmi yóò sì pa òfin rẹ mọ́ èmi yóò sì máa kíyèsi i pẹ̀lú ọkàn mi.
Give me understanding, that I keep Thy law and observe it with my whole heart.
35 Fi ipa ọ̀nà àṣẹ rẹ hàn mí, nítorí nínú rẹ̀ ni èmi rí inú dídùn.
Make me to tread in the path of Thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Yí ọkàn mi padà sí òfin rẹ kí ó má ṣe sí ojúkòkòrò mọ́.
Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Yí ojú mi padà kúrò láti máa wo ohun asán: pa ọ̀nà mi mọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken me in Thy ways.
38 Mú ìlérí rẹ sẹ sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, nítorí òfin rẹ dára.
Confirm Thy word unto Thy servant, which pertaineth unto the fear of Thee.
39 Yí ẹ̀gàn mi padà tí mo bẹ̀rù nítorí tí ìdájọ́ rẹ dára.
Turn away my reproach which I dread; for Thine ordinances are good.
40 Kíyèsi i, ọkàn mi ti fà sí ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ! Pa ayé mi mọ́ nínú òdodo rẹ.
Behold, I have longed after Thy precepts; quicken me in Thy righteousness.
41 Jẹ́ kí ìfẹ́ rẹ tí kì í kùnà wá bá mi, Olúwa, ìgbàlà rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpinnu rẹ.
VAV. Let Thy mercies also come unto me, O LORD, even Thy salvation, according to Thy word;
42 Nígbà náà ni èmi yóò dá ẹni tí ń sọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀gàn sí mi lóhùn, nítorí èmi gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
That I may have an answer for him that taunteth me; for I trust in Thy word.
43 Má ṣe gba ọ̀rọ̀ òtítọ́ láti ẹnu mi nítorí èmi ti gbé ìrètí mi sínú àṣẹ rẹ.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I hope in Thine ordinances;
44 Èmi yóò máa gbọ́rọ̀ sí òfin rẹ nígbà gbogbo láé àti láéláé.
So shall I observe Thy law continually for ever and ever;
45 Èmi yóò máa rìn káàkiri ní òmìnira, nítorí èmi ti kígbe ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ jáde.
And I will walk at ease, for I have sought Thy precepts;
46 Èmi yóò sọ̀rọ̀ òfin rẹ níwájú àwọn ọba ojú kì yóò sì tì mí,
I will also speak of Thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 nítorí èmi ní inú dídùn nínú àṣẹ rẹ nítorí èmi ní ìfẹ́ wọn.
And I will delight myself in Thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 Èmi gbé ọwọ́ mi sókè nítorí àṣẹ rẹ, èyí tí èmi fẹ́ràn, èmi sì ń ṣe àṣàrò òfin rẹ̀.
I will lift up my hands also unto Thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in Thy statutes.
49 Rántí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, nítorí ìwọ ti fún mi ní ìrètí.
ZAIN. Remember the word unto Thy servant, because Thou hast made me to hope.
50 Ìtùnú mi nínú ìpọ́njú mi ni èyí: ìpinnu rẹ pa ayé mi mọ́.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that Thy word hath quickened me.
51 Àwọn agbéraga fi mí ṣe ẹlẹ́yà láì dádúró, ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò padà nínú òfin rẹ.
The proud have had me greatly in derision; yet have I not turned aside from Thy law.
52 Èmi rántí àwọn òfin rẹ ìgbàanì, Olúwa, èmi sì rí ìtùnú nínú wọn.
I have remembered Thine ordinances which are of old, O LORD, and have comforted myself.
53 Ìbínú dì mímú ṣinṣin nítorí àwọn ẹni búburú, tí wọ́n ti kọ òfin rẹ sílẹ̀.
Burning indignation hath taken hold upon me, because of the wicked that forsake Thy law.
54 Òfin rẹ ni ọ̀rọ̀ ìpìlẹ̀ orin mi níbikíbi tí èmi ń gbé.
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Ní òru èmi rántí orúkọ rẹ, Olúwa, èmi yóò sì pa òfin rẹ mọ́
I have remembered Thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have observed Thy law.
56 nítorí tí mo gba ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ gbọ́.
This I have had, that I have kept Thy precepts.
57 Ìwọ ni ìpín mi, Olúwa: èmi ti pinnu láti tẹríba sí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
HETH. My portion is the LORD, I have said that I would observe Thy words.
58 Èmi ti wá ojú rẹ pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn mi: fún mi ní oore-ọ̀fẹ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpinnu rẹ.
I have entreated Thy favour with my whole heart; be gracious unto me according to Thy word.
59 Èmi ti kíyèsi ọ̀nà mi èmi sì ti gbé ìgbésẹ̀ mi sí òfin rẹ.
I considered my ways, and turned my feet unto Thy testimonies.
60 Èmi yóò yára, ń kò ni lọ́ra láti gbọ́rọ̀ sí àṣẹ rẹ.
I made haste, and delayed not, to observe Thy commandments.
61 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn ẹni búburú dì mí pẹ̀lú okùn, èmi kò ní gbàgbé òfin rẹ.
The bands of the wicked have enclosed me; but I have not forgotten Thy law.
62 Ní àárín ọ̀gànjọ́ òru èmi dìde láti fi ọpẹ́ fún ọ nítorí òfin òdodo rẹ.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto Thee because of Thy righteous ordinances.
63 Èmi jẹ́ ọ̀rẹ́ sí gbogbo àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ, sí gbogbo àwọn tí ń tẹ̀lé ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
I am a companion of all them that fear Thee, and of them that observe Thy precepts.
64 Ayé kún fún ìfẹ́ rẹ, Olúwa, kọ́ mi ní òfin rẹ.
The earth, O LORD, is full of Thy mercy; teach me Thy statutes.
65 Ṣe rere sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ, Olúwa.
TETH. Thou hast dealt well with Thy servant, O LORD, according unto Thy word.
66 Kọ́ mi ní ìmọ̀ àti ìdájọ́ rere, nítorí mo gbàgbọ́ nínú àṣẹ rẹ.
Teach me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed Thy commandments.
67 Kí a tó pọ́n mi lójú èmi ti ṣìnà, ṣùgbọ́n ni ìsinsin yìí èmi gbọ́rọ̀ sí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
Before I was afflicted, I did err; but now I observe Thy word.
68 Ìwọ dára, ohun tí ìwọ sì ń ṣe rere ni; kọ́ mi ní ìlànà rẹ.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me Thy statutes.
69 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn agbéraga ti gbìmọ̀ èké sí mí, èmi pa ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ mọ́ pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn mi.
The proud have forged a lie against me; but I with my whole heart will keep Thy precepts.
70 Ọkàn wọn yigbì kò sì ní àánú, ṣùgbọ́n èmi ní inú dídùn nínú òfin rẹ.
Their heart is gross like fat; but I delight in Thy law.
71 Ó dára fún mi kí a pọ́n mi lójú nítorí kí èmi lè kọ́ òfin rẹ.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn Thy statutes.
72 Òfin tí ó jáde láti ẹnu rẹ ju iyebíye sí mi lọ ó ju ẹgbẹ̀rún ẹyọ fàdákà àti wúrà lọ.
The law of Thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Ọwọ́ rẹ ni ó dá mi tí ó sì mọ mí; fún mi ní òye láti kọ́ àṣẹ rẹ.
JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Thy commandments.
74 Jẹ́ kí gbogbo àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ máa yọ̀ nígbà tí wọ́n bá rí mi, nítorí èmi ti mú ìrètí mi sínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
They that fear Thee shall see me and be glad, because I have hope in Thy word.
75 Èmi mọ, Olúwa, nítorí òfin rẹ òdodo ni, àti ní òtítọ́ ni ìwọ pọ́n mi lójú.
I know, O LORD, that Thy judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.
76 Kí ìfẹ́ rẹ tí kì í kùnà jẹ́ ìtùnú mi, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpinnu rẹ sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ.
Let, I pray Thee, Thy lovingkindness be ready to comfort me, according to Thy promise unto Thy servant.
77 Jẹ́ kí àánú rẹ kí ó tọ̀ mí wá, kí èmi kí ó lè yè, nítorí òfin rẹ jẹ́ ìdùnnú mi.
Let Thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; for Thy law is my delight.
78 Kí ojú kí ó ti àwọn agbéraga nítorí wọn pa mí lára láìnídìí ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò máa ṣe àṣàrò nínú ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
Let the proud be put to shame, for they have distorted my cause with falsehood; but I will meditate in Thy precepts.
79 Kí àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ yí padà sí mi, àwọn tí ó ní òye òfin rẹ.
Let those that fear Thee return unto me, and they that know Thy testimonies.
80 Jẹ́ kí ọkàn mi wà láìlẹ́bi sí òfin rẹ, kí ojú kí ó má ṣe tì mí.
Let my heart be undivided in Thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
81 Ọkàn mi ń fojú ṣọ́nà nítorí ìgbàlà rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n èmi ti fi ìrètí mi sínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
CAPH. My soul pineth for Thy salvation; in Thy word do I hope.
82 Ojú mi kùnà, pẹ̀lú wíwo ìpinnu rẹ; èmi wí pé, “Nígbà wo ni ìwọ yóò tù mí nínú?”
Mine eyes fail for Thy word, saying: 'When wilt Thou comfort me?'
83 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé èmi dàbí awọ-wáìnì lójú èéfín, èmi kò gbàgbé ìlànà rẹ.
For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; yet do I not forget Thy statutes.
84 Báwo ni ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ yóò ṣe dúró pẹ́ tó? Nígbà wo ni ìwọ yóò bá àwọn tí ń ṣe inúnibíni sí mi wí?
How many are the days of Thy servant? When wilt Thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 Àwọn agbéraga wa ihò ìṣubú fún mi, tí ó lòdì sí òfin rẹ.
The proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to Thy law.
86 Gbogbo àṣẹ rẹ yẹ ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé; ràn mí lọ́wọ́, nítorí ènìyàn ń ṣe inúnibíni sí mi láìnídìí.
All Thy commandments are faithful; they persecute me for nought; help Thou me.
87 Wọ́n fẹ́rẹ pa mí rẹ́ kúrò nínú ayé, ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò kọ ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but as for me, I forsook not Thy precepts.
88 Pa ayé mi mọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìfẹ́ rẹ, èmi yóò sì gba ẹ̀rí ẹnu rẹ̀ gbọ́.
Quicken me after Thy lovingkindness, and I will observe the testimony of Thy mouth.
89 Ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ, Olúwa, títí láé ni; ó dúró ṣinṣin ní ọ̀run.
LAMED. For ever, O LORD, Thy word standeth fast in heaven.
90 Òtítọ́ rẹ̀ ń lọ dé gbogbo ìran dé ìran; ìwọ ti dá ayé, ó sì dúró ṣinṣin.
Thy faithfulness is unto all generations; Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
91 Òfin rẹ dúró di òní nítorí ohun gbogbo ń sìn ọ́.
They stand this day according to Thine ordinances; for all things are Thy servants.
92 Bí òfin rẹ̀ kò bá jẹ́ dídùn inú mi, èmi ìbá ti ṣègbé nínú ìpọ́njú mi.
Unless Thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
93 Èmi kì yóò gbàgbé ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ láé, nítorí nípa wọn ni ìwọ ti pa ayé mi mọ́.
I will never forget Thy precepts; for with them Thou hast quickened me.
94 Gbà mí, nítorí èmi jẹ́ tìrẹ èmi ti wá ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
I am Thine, save me; for I have sought Thy precepts.
95 Àwọn ẹni búburú dúró láti pa mí run, ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò kíyèsi ẹ̀rí rẹ.
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; but I will consider Thy testimonies.
96 Sí ohun pípé gbogbo èmi ti rí òpin; ṣùgbọ́n àṣẹ rẹ aláìlópin ni.
I have seen an end to every purpose; but Thy commandment is exceeding broad.
97 Báwo ni èmi ti fẹ́ òfin rẹ tó! Èmi ń ṣe àṣàrò nínú rẹ̀ ní gbogbo ọjọ́ pípẹ́ wá.
MEM. O how love I Thy law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Àṣẹ rẹ mú mi gbọ́n ju àwọn ọ̀tá mi lọ, nítorí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú mi láé.
Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99 Èmi ní iyè inú ju gbogbo olùkọ́ mi lọ, nítorí èmi ń ṣe àṣàrò nínú òfin rẹ.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Thy testimonies are my (meditation)
100 Èmi ni òye ju àwọn àgbà lọ, nítorí mo gba ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
I understand more than mine elders, because I have keep Thy precepts.
101 Èmi ti pa ẹsẹ̀ mi mọ́ nínú gbogbo ọ̀nà ibi nítorí kí èmi lè gba ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, in order that I might observe Thy word.
102 Èmi kò yà kúrò nínú òfin rẹ, nítorí ìwọ fúnra rẹ̀ ni ó kọ́ mi.
I have not turned aside from Thine ordinances; for Thou hast instructed me.
103 Báwo ni ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ ṣe dùn mọ́ mi lẹ́nu tó, ó dùn ju oyin lọ ní ẹnu mi!
How sweet are Thy words unto my palate! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Èmi rí òye gbà nínú ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ; nítorí náà èmi kórìíra gbogbo ọ̀nà tí kò tọ́.
From Thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
105 Ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ ni fìtílà sí ẹsẹ̀ mi àti ìmọ́lẹ̀ sí ipa ọ̀nà mi.
NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106 Èmi ti ṣe ìbúra èmi sì ti tẹnumọ́ ọn wí pé èmi yóò máa tẹ̀lé òfin òdodo rẹ.
I have sworn, and have confirmed it, to observe Thy righteous ordinances.
107 A pọ́n mi lójú gidigidi; Olúwa, sọ mi di ààyè, gẹ́gẹ́ bi ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ
I am afflicted very much; quicken me, O LORD, according unto Thy word.
108 Olúwa, gba ìyìn àtinúwá ẹnu mi, kí o sì kọ́ mi ní òfin rẹ̀.
Accept, I beseech Thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me Thine ordinances.
109 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ayé mi wà ni ọwọ́ mi nígbà gbogbo, èmi kò ní gbàgbé òfin rẹ.
My soul is continually in my hand; yet have I not forgotten Thy law.
110 Àwọn ẹni búburú ti dẹ okùn sílẹ̀ fún mi, ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò ṣìnà kúrò nínú ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet went I not astray from Thy precepts.
111 Òfin rẹ ni ogún mi láéláé; àwọn ni ayọ̀ ọkàn mi.
Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112 Ọkàn mi ti lé pípa òfin rẹ mọ́ láé dé òpin.
I have inclined my heart to perform Thy statutes, for ever, at every step.
113 Èmi kórìíra àwọn ọlọ́kàn méjì, ṣùgbọ́n èmi fẹ́ òfin rẹ.
SAMECH. I hate them that are of a double mind; but Thy law do I love.
114 Ìwọ ni ààbò mi àti asà mi; èmi ti mú ìrètí mi sínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
Thou art my covert and my shield; in Thy word do I hope.
115 Ẹ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi, ẹ̀yin olùṣe búburú, kí èmi lè pa àṣẹ Ọlọ́run mi mọ́!
Depart from me, ye evildoers; that I may keep the commandments of my God.
116 Gbé mi sókè gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ, kí èmi kí ó lè yè Má sì jẹ́ kí ojú ìrètí mi kí ó tì mí.
Uphold me according unto Thy word, that I may live; and put me not to shame in my hope.
117 Gbé mi sókè, èmí yóò sì wa láìléwu; nígbà gbogbo ni èmi yóò máa júbà òfin rẹ.
Support Thou me, and I shall be saved; and I will occupy myself with Thy statutes continually.
118 Ìwọ kọ gbogbo àwọn tí ó ṣìnà kúrò nínú òfin rẹ, nítorí ẹ̀tàn wọn asán ni.
Thou hast made light of all them that err from Thy statutes; for their deceit is vain.
119 Gbogbo àwọn ẹni búburú ní ayé ni ìwọ yọ kúrò bí i ìdàrọ́; nítorí náà, èmi fẹ́ òfin rẹ̀.
Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Thy testimonies.
120 Ara mi wárìrì ní ìbẹ̀rù nítorí rẹ̀: èmi dúró ní ìbẹ̀rù òfin rẹ.
My flesh shuddereth for fear of Thee; and I am afraid of Thy judgments.
121 Èmi ti ṣe ohun tí i ṣe òdodo àti ẹ̀tọ́: má ṣe fi mí sílẹ̀ fún àwọn tó ń ni mí lára.
AIN. I have done justice and righteousness; leave me not to mine oppressors.
122 Mú kí àlàáfíà ìránṣẹ́ rẹ dájú: má ṣe jẹ́ kí àwọn agbéraga ni mi lára.
Be surety for Thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.
123 Ojú mi kùnà, fún wíwo ìgbàlà rẹ, fún wíwo ìpinnu òdodo rẹ.
Mine eyes fail for Thy salvation, and for Thy righteous word.
124 Ṣe pẹ̀lú ìránṣẹ́ rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí dídúró ṣinṣin ìfẹ́ rẹ kí o sì kọ́ mi ní àṣẹ rẹ.
Deal with Thy servant according unto Thy mercy, and teach me Thy statutes.
125 Èmi ni ìránṣẹ́ rẹ; ẹ fún mi ní òye kí èmi lè ní òye òfin rẹ
I am Thy servant, give me understanding, that I may know Thy testimonies.
126 Ó tó àsìkò fún ọ láti ṣe iṣẹ́, Olúwa; nítorí òfin rẹ ti fọ́.
It is time for the LORD to work; they have made void Thy law.
127 Nítorí èmi fẹ́ràn àṣẹ rẹ ju wúrà, àní ju wúrà dídára lọ,
Therefore I love Thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.
128 nítorí èmi kíyèsi gbogbo ẹ̀kọ́ òtítọ́ rẹ̀, èmi kórìíra gbogbo ipa ọ̀nà búburú.
Therefore I esteem all Thy precepts concerning all things to be right; every false way I hate.
129 Òfin rẹ̀ ìyanu ni: nítorí náà èmi gbà wọ́n gbọ́.
PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 Ìṣípayá ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ mú ìmọ́lẹ̀ wá; ó fi òye fún àwọn òpè.
The opening of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
131 Èmi ya ẹnu mi mo sì mí hẹlẹ, nítorí èmi fojú ṣọ́nà sí àṣẹ rẹ.
I opened wide my mouth, and panted; for I longed for Thy commandments.
132 Yí padà sí mi kí o sì ṣàánú fún mi, bí ìwọ ṣe máa ń ṣe nígbà gbogbo sí àwọn tí ó fẹ́ràn orúkọ rẹ.
Turn Thee towards me, and be gracious unto me, as is Thy wont to do unto those that love Thy name.
133 Fi ìṣísẹ̀ mi múlẹ̀ nínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ, má ṣe jẹ́ kí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ borí mi.
Order my footsteps by Thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Rà mí padà lọ́wọ́ aninilára ènìyàn, kí èmi lè gbọ́ ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
Redeem me from the oppression of man, and I will observe Thy precepts.
135 Jẹ́ kí ojú rẹ kí ó tàn sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ lára kí ó sì kọ́ mi ní àṣẹ rẹ.
Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; and teach me Thy statutes.
136 Omijé sàn jáde ní ojú mi, nítorí wọn kò gba pé òfin rẹ̀ jẹ́ òtítọ́.
Mine eyes run down with rivers of water, because they observe not Thy law.
137 Olódodo ni ìwọ Olúwa ìdájọ́ rẹ sì dúró ṣinṣin.
TZADE. Righteous art Thou, O LORD, and upright are Thy judgments.
138 Òfin ti ìwọ gbé kalẹ̀ jẹ́ òdodo: wọ́n yẹ ni ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé.
Thou hast commanded Thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.
139 Ìtara mi ti pa mí run, nítorí àwọn ọ̀tá mi fi ojú fo ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ dá.
My zeal hath undone me, because mine adversaries have forgotten Thy words.
140 Wọ́n ti dán ìpinnu rẹ wò pátápátá ìránṣẹ́ rẹ sì fẹ́ràn wọ́n.
Thy word is tried to the uttermost, and Thy servant loveth it.
141 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé èmi jẹ́ onírẹ̀lẹ̀ àti ẹni ẹ̀gàn èmi kò ni gbàgbé ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
I am small and despised; yet have I not forgotten Thy precepts.
142 Òdodo rẹ wà títí láé òtítọ́ ni òfin rẹ̀.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Thy law is the truth.
143 Ìyọnu àti ìpọ́njú wá sórí mi, ṣùgbọ́n àṣẹ rẹ ni inú dídùn mi.
Trouble and anguish have overtaken me; yet Thy commandments are my delight.
144 Òfin rẹ jẹ́ òtítọ́ láé; fún mi ní òye kí èmi lè yè.
Thy testimonies are righteous for ever; give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 Èmi kígbe pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn mi: dá mi lóhùn Olúwa, èmi yóò sì gbọ́rọ̀ sí àṣẹ rẹ.
KOPH. I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O LORD; I will keep Thy statutes.
146 Èmi kígbe pè ọ́; gbà mí èmi yóò sì pa òfin rẹ mọ́.
I have called Thee, save me, and I will observe Thy testimonies.
147 Èmi dìde ṣáájú àfẹ̀mọ́júmọ́ èmi ké fún ìrànlọ́wọ́; èmi ti mú ìrètí mi sínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
I rose early at dawn, and cried; I hoped in Thy word.
148 Ojú mi ṣáájú ìṣọ́ òru, nítorí kí èmi lè ṣe àṣàrò nínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, that I might meditate in Thy word.
149 Gbọ́ ohùn mi ní ìṣọ̀kan pẹ̀lú ìfẹ́ rẹ: pa ayé mi mọ́, Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí òfin rẹ.
Hear my voice according unto Thy lovingkindness; quicken me, O LORD, as Thou art wont.
150 Àwọn tí ń gbìmọ̀ ìlànà búburú wà ní tòsí, ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n jìnnà sí òfin rẹ.
They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; they are far from Thy law.
151 Síbẹ̀ ìwọ wà ní tòsí, Olúwa, àti gbogbo àṣẹ rẹ jẹ́ òtítọ́.
Thou art nigh, O LORD; and all Thy commandments are truth.
152 Láti ọjọ́ pípẹ́ wá èmi ti kọ́ nínú òfin rẹ tí ìwọ ti fi ìdí wọn múlẹ̀ láéláé.
Of old have I known from Thy testimonies that Thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Wo ìpọ́njú mi kí o sì gbà mí, nítorí èmi kò gbàgbé òfin rẹ.
RESH. O see mine affliction, and rescue me; for I do not forget Thy law.
154 Gba ẹjọ́ mi rò kí o sì rà mí padà; pa ayé mi mọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpinnu rẹ.
Plead Thou my cause, and redeem me; quicken me according to Thy word.
155 Ìgbàlà jìnnà sí àwọn ẹni búburú nítorí wọn kò wá àṣẹ rẹ.
Salvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not Thy statutes.
156 Ìyọ́nú rẹ̀ tóbi, Olúwa; pa ayé mi mọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí òfin rẹ.
Great are Thy compassions, O LORD; quicken me as Thou art wont.
157 Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni àwọn ọ̀tá tí wọ́n ń ṣe inúnibíni sí mi, ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò tí ì yípadà kúrò nínú òfin rẹ.
Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; yet have I not turned aside from Thy testimonies.
158 Èmi wo àwọn ẹlẹ́tàn, inú mi sì bàjẹ́ nítorí wọn kò gba ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ gbọ́.
I beheld them that were faithless, and strove with them; because they observed not Thy word.
159 Wo bí èmi ṣe fẹ́ràn ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ; pa ayé mi mọ́, Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìfẹ́ rẹ.
O see how I love Thy precepts; quicken me, O LORD, according to Thy lovingkindness.
160 Òtítọ́ ni gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ; gbogbo òfin òdodo rẹ láéláé ni.
The beginning of Thy word is truth; and all Thy righteous ordinance endureth for ever.
161 Àwọn alákòóso ṣe inúnibíni sí mi láìnídìí, ṣùgbọ́n ọkàn mi wárìrì sí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of Thy words.
162 Èmi yọ̀ nínú ìpinnu rẹ bí ẹni tí ó rí ìkógun púpọ̀.
I rejoice at Thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 Èmi kórìíra mo sì kọ èké ṣíṣe ṣùgbọ́n mo fẹ́ràn òfin rẹ.
I hate and abhor falsehood; Thy law do I love.
164 Èmi yìn ọ́ ní ìgbà méje lójúmọ́ nítorí òfin òdodo rẹ.
Seven times a day do I praise Thee, because of Thy righteous ordinances.
165 Àlàáfíà púpọ̀ wà fún àwọn tí ó ní ìfẹ́ sí òfin rẹ, kò sì ṣí ohun tí ó lè mú wọn kọsẹ̀.
Great peace have they that love Thy law; and there is no stumbling for them.
166 Èmi yóò dúró de ìgbàlà rẹ, Olúwa, èmi yóò sì tẹ̀lé àṣẹ rẹ.
I have hoped for Thy salvation, O LORD, and have done Thy commandments.
167 Èmi gba òfin rẹ gbọ́, nítorí mo fẹ́ràn wọn púpọ̀púpọ̀.
My soul hath observed Thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
168 Èmi ṣe ìgbọ́ràn sí ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ àti òfin rẹ, nítorí ìwọ mọ gbogbo ọ̀nà mi.
I have observed Thy precepts and Thy testimonies; for all my ways are before Thee.
169 Jẹ́ kí igbe mi wá sí iwájú rẹ, Olúwa; fún mi ní òye gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
TAV. Let my cry come near before Thee, O LORD; give me understanding according to Thy word.
170 Jẹ́ kí ẹ̀bẹ̀ mi wá sí iwájú rẹ; gbà mí gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpinnu rẹ.
Let my supplication come before Thee; deliver me according to Thy word.
171 Ètè mi yóò sọ ìyìn jáde, nítorí ìwọ kọ́ mi ní ìlànà rẹ.
Let my lips utter praise: because Thou teachest me Thy statutes.
172 Jẹ́ kí ahọ́n mi kọ orin ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ, nítorí gbogbo àṣẹ rẹ jẹ́ òdodo.
Let my tongue sing of Thy word; for all Thy commandments are righteousness.
173 Jẹ́ kí ọwọ́ rẹ ṣetán láti ràn mí lọ́wọ́, nítorí èmi ti yan ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ.
Let Thy hand be ready to help me; for I have chosen Thy precepts.
174 Èmi wo ọ̀nà fún ìgbàlà rẹ, Olúwa, àti òfin rẹ jẹ́ dídùn inú mi.
I have longed for Thy salvation, O LORD; and Thy law is my delight.
175 Jẹ́ kí èmi wà láààyè ki èmi lè yìn ọ́, kí o sì jẹ́ kí òfin rẹ mú mi dúró.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise Thee; and let Thine ordinances help me.
176 Èmí ti ṣìnà bí àgùntàn tí ó sọnù. Wá ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, nítorí èmi kò gbàgbé àṣẹ rẹ.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Thy servant; for I have not forgotten Thy commandments.
