< Psalms 114 >
1 Nígbà tí Israẹli jáde ní Ejibiti, ilé Jakọbu láti inú ènìyàn àjèjì èdè
When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:
2 Juda wà ní ibi mímọ́, Israẹli wà ní ìjọba.
Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.
3 Òkun sì rí i, ó sì wárìrì: Jordani sì padà sẹ́yìn.
The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.
4 Àwọn òkè ńlá ń fò bí àgbò àti òkè kéékèèké bí ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn.
The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.
5 Kí ni ó ṣe ọ́, ìwọ Òkun, tí ìwọ fi wárìrì? Ìwọ Jordani, tí ìwọ fi padà sẹ́yìn?
What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?
6 Ẹ̀yin òkè ńlá kí ló dé ti ẹ fi ń fò bí àgbò, àti ẹ̀yin òkè kéékèèké bí ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn?
Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?
7 Wárìrì, ìwọ ilẹ̀, níwájú Olúwa; ní iwájú Ọlọ́run Jakọbu
At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8 tí ó sọ àpáta di adágún omi, àti òkúta-ìbọn di orísun omi.
Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
