< Psalms 111 >

1 Ẹ máa yin Olúwa. Èmi yóò máa yin Olúwa pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn mi, ní àwùjọ àwọn olóòtítọ́, àti ní ìjọ ènìyàn.
Praise Yahweh! I will thank Yahweh with my entire inner being, every time I am with a large group of godly/righteous people.
2 Iṣẹ́ Olúwa tóbi, àwọn tí ó ní inú dídùn, ń ṣe àṣàrò nínú rẹ̀.
The things that Yahweh has done are wonderful! All those who are delighted/pleased with those things desire to (study/think about) them.
3 Iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ni ọláńlá àti ògo: àti òdodo rẹ̀ dúró láéláé.
[Because of everything] that he does, people greatly honor him and respect him because he is a great king; the righteous/just things that he does will endure forever.
4 Ó ti ṣe iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ̀, láti máa rántí: Olúwa ni olóore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti pé ó kún fún àánú.
He has [appointed/established festivals in which] we remember the wonderful things that he has done; Yahweh [always] is kind and merciful.
5 Ó ti fi oúnjẹ fún àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ̀: òun ń rántí májẹ̀mú rẹ̀.
He provides food for those who revere him; he never forgets the agreement that he made [with our ancestors].
6 Ó ti fihan àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ agbára iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ láti fún wọn ní ilẹ̀ ìlérí ní ìní.
By enabling his people to capture the lands that belonged to other people-groups, he has shown to [us], his people, that he is very powerful.
7 Iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ̀ jẹ́ òtítọ́ àti ìdájọ́; gbogbo òfin rẹ̀ sì dájú.
He [MTY] faithfully [does what he has promised] and always does what is just/fair, and we can depend on him [to help us] when he commands us to do things.
8 Wọ́n dúró láé àti láé, ní òtítọ́ àti òdodo ni a ṣe wọ́n.
What he commands must be obeyed forever; and he acted in a true and righteous manner when he gave us those commands.
9 Ó rán ìràpadà sí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀: ó pàṣẹ májẹ̀mú rẹ̀ títí láé, mímọ́ àti ọ̀wọ̀ ni orúkọ rẹ̀.
He rescued [us], his people, [from being slaves in Egypt], and he made an agreement [with us] that will last forever. He [MTY] is holy and awesome!
10 Ìbẹ̀rù Olúwa ni ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ọgbọ́n: òye dáradára ni yóò máa ṣe òfin rẹ̀, ìyìn rẹ̀ dúró láé.
Revering Yahweh is the way to become wise. All those who obey [his commands] will know what is good [for them to decide to do]. We should praise him forever!
