< Psalms 11 >

1 Fún adarí orin. Ti Dafidi. Ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé mi wà nínú Olúwa. Báwo ní ẹ̀yin ó ṣe sọ fún ọkàn mi pé, “Fò gẹ́gẹ́ bi ẹyẹ lọ si orí òkè rẹ.
[For the Chief Musician. By David.] In the LORD, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain."
2 Wò ó nítorí náà, ènìyàn búburú fa ọfà rẹ̀; wọn ti fi ọfà wọn sí ojú okùn láti tafà níbi òjìji sí àyà ẹni ìdúró ṣinṣin.
For, look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 Nígbà tí ìpìlẹ̀ bá bàjẹ́ kí ni olódodo yóò ṣe?”
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 Olúwa ń bẹ nínú tẹmpili mímọ́ rẹ̀; Olúwa ń bẹ lórí ìtẹ́ rẹ̀ ní ọ̀run. Ó ń wo àwọn ọmọ ènìyàn; ojú rẹ̀ ń yẹ̀ wọ́n wò.
The LORD is in his holy temple. The LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyes examine the descendants of Adam.
5 Olúwa ń yẹ olódodo wò, ṣùgbọ́n ènìyàn búburú àti àwọn tí o fẹ́ ìwà ipá ni ọkàn rẹ̀ kórìíra.
The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates.
6 Sí orí àwọn ènìyàn búburú ni yóò rọ̀jò ẹ̀yín iná àti imí-ọjọ́ tí ń jó; àti ìjì gbígbóná ní yóò jẹ ìpín wọn.
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 Nítorí, olódodo ní Olúwa, o fẹ́ràn òdodo; ẹni ìdúró ṣinṣin yóò sì rí i.
For the LORD is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
