< Psalms 109 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Ti Dafidi. Saamu. Ọlọ́run, ti èmi ń fi ìyìn fún, má ṣe dákẹ́,
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. Holde not thy tongue, O God of my praise.
2 nítorí àwọn ènìyàn búburú àti ẹlẹ́tàn ti ya ẹnu wọn sí mi wọ́n ti fi ahọ́n èké sọ̀rọ̀ sí mi.
For the mouth of the wicked, and the mouth full of deceite are opened vpon me: they haue spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3 Wọ́n fi ọ̀rọ̀ ìríra yí mi káàkiri; wọ́n bá mi jà láìnídìí
They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4 Nípò ìfẹ́ mi, wọn ń ṣe ọ̀tá mi, ṣùgbọ́n èmi ń gba àdúrà.
For my friendship they were mine aduersaries, but I gaue my selfe to praier.
5 Wọ́n sì fi ibi san ìre fún mi àti ìríra fún ìfẹ́ mi.
And they haue rewarded me euil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6 Yan àwọn ènìyàn búburú láti dojúkọ jẹ́ kí àwọn olùfisùn dúró ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀.
Set thou the wicked ouer him, and let the aduersarie stand at his right hand.
7 Kí a dá a lẹ́bi nígbà tí a bá ṣe ìdájọ́ kí àdúrà rẹ̀ kí ó lè di ìkọ̀sílẹ̀.
Whe he shalbe iudged, let him be condemned, and let his praier be turned into sinne.
8 Kí ọjọ́ rẹ̀ kí ó kúrú; kí ẹlòmíràn kí ó rọ́pò iṣẹ́ rẹ̀.
Let his daies be fewe, and let another take his charge.
9 Kí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ di aláìní baba kí aya rẹ̀ sì di opó.
Let his children be fatherlesse, and his wife a widowe.
10 Jẹ́ kí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ máa ṣagbe kiri kí wọn máa tọrọ oúnjẹ jìnnà sí ibi ahoro wọn.
Let his children be vagabonds and beg and seeke bread, comming out of their places destroyed.
11 Jẹ́ kí alọ́nilọ́wọ́gbà kí ó mú ohun gbogbo tí ó ní jẹ́ kí àlejò kí o kó èrè iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ lọ.
Let the extortioner catch al that he hath, and let the strangers spoile his labour.
12 Má ṣe jẹ́ kí ẹnìkan ṣe àánú fún un tàbí kí wọn káàánú lórí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ aláìní baba.
Let there be none to extend mercie vnto him: neither let there be any to shewe mercie vpon his fatherlesse children.
13 Kí a gé àrọ́mọdọ́mọ rẹ̀ kúrò kí orúkọ wọn kí ó parẹ́ ní ìran tí ń bọ̀.
Let his posteritie be destroied, and in the generation following let their name be put out.
14 Kí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àwọn baba rẹ̀ kí ó wà ní ìrántí ní ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa. Má ṣe jẹ́ kí a yọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ìyá wọn kúrò.
Let the iniquitie of his fathers bee had in remembrance with the Lord: and let not the sinne of his mother be done away.
15 Jẹ́ kí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn kí ó wà ní ìrántí níwájú Olúwa kí ó lè gé ìrántí wọn kúrò lórí ilẹ̀.
But let them alway be before the Lord, that he may cut off their memorial from ye earth.
16 Nítorí kò rántí láti ṣàánú, ṣùgbọ́n ó ṣe inúnibíni sí ọkùnrin tálákà àti olùpọ́njú, kí ó lè pa oníròbìnújẹ́ ọkàn.
Because he remembred not to shew mercie, but persecuted the afflicted and poore man, and the sorowfull hearted to slay him.
17 Ó fẹ́ràn láti máa mú ègún wá sí orí rẹ̀: bi inú rẹ̀ kò ti dùn si ìre, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ó jìnnà sí.
As he loued cursing, so shall it come vnto him, and as he loued not blessing, so shall it be farre from him.
18 Bí ó ti fi ègún wọ ará rẹ̀ láṣọ bí ẹ̀wù bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ó wá sí inú rẹ̀ bí omi.
As he clothed himselfe with cursing like a rayment, so shall it come into his bowels like water, and like oyle into his bones.
19 Jẹ́ kí ó rí fún un bí aṣọ tí a dà bò ó ní ara, àti fún àmùrè tí ó fi gba ọ̀já nígbà gbogbo.
Let it be vnto him as a garment to couer him, and for a girdle, wherewith he shalbe alway girded.
20 Èyí ni èrè àwọn ọ̀tá mi láti ọwọ́ Olúwa wá; àti ti àwọn tí ń sọ̀rọ̀ ibi sí ọkàn mi.
Let this be the rewarde of mine aduersarie from the Lord, and of them, that speake euill against my soule.
21 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ, ìwọ ṣe fún mi Olúwa Olódùmarè, ṣe rere fún mi nítorí orúkọ rẹ. Nítorí tí àánú rẹ dára, ìwọ gbà mí.
But thou, O Lord my God, deale with me according vnto thy Name: deliuer me, (for thy mercie is good)
22 Nítorí pé tálákà àti aláìní ni mí, àyà mi sì gbọgbẹ́ nínú mi.
Because I am poore and needie, and mine heart is wounded within me.
23 Èmi ń kọjá lọ bí òjìji tí àṣálẹ́, mo ń gbọ̀n sókè bí eṣú.
I depart like the shadowe that declineth, and am shaken off as the grashopper.
24 Eékún mi di aláìlera nítorí àwẹ̀ gbígbà ẹran-ara mi sì gbẹ nítorí àìlera mi.
My knees are weake through fasting, and my flesh hath lost all fatnes.
25 Mo dàbí ẹ̀gàn fún àwọn olùfisùn mi; nígbà tí wọn wò mí, wọ́n gbọn orí wọn.
I became also a rebuke vnto them: they that looked vpon me, shaked their heads.
26 Ràn mí lọ́wọ́, Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi; gbà mí gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìṣeun ìfẹ́ rẹ.
Helpe me, O Lord my God: saue me according to thy mercie.
27 Jẹ́ kí wọn mọ̀ pé ọwọ́ rẹ ni èyí wí pé ìwọ, Olúwa, ni ó ṣe é.
And they shall know, that this is thine hand, and that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 Wọ́n ó máa gégùn ún, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ máa súre, nígbà tí wọn bá dìde kí ojú kí ó tì wọ́n, ṣùgbọ́n ìránṣẹ́ rẹ yóò yọ̀.
Though they curse, yet thou wilt blesse: they shall arise and be confounded, but thy seruant shall reioyce.
29 Jẹ́ kí a wọ àwọn ọ̀tá mi ní aṣọ ìtìjú kí á sì fi ìdàrúdàpọ̀ bọ̀ wọ́n lára bí ẹ̀wù.
Let mine aduersaries be clothed with shame, and let them couer themselues with their confusion, as with a cloke.
30 Pẹ̀lú ẹnu mi èmi yóò máa yin Olúwa gidigidi ní àárín ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn èmi yóò máa yìn ín.
I will giue thankes vnto the Lord greatly with my mouth and praise him among ye multitude.
31 Nítorí ó dúró ní apá ọ̀tún aláìní láti gbà á lọ́wọ́ àwọn tí ń dá ọkàn rẹ̀ lẹ́bi.
For he will stand at the right hand of the poore, to saue him from them that woulde condemne his soule.
