< Psalms 106 >

1 Yin Olúwa! Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa, nítorí tí ó ṣeun. Ẹ fi ọpẹ́ fún Olúwa nítorí tí ó ṣeun, nítorí tí ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ dúró láéláé.
Hallelujah. Oh give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for to eternity endureth his kindness.
2 Ta ni ó lè ròyìn iṣẹ́ agbára Olúwa, ta ní lè sọ nípa ìyìn rẹ̀?
Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can publish all his praise?
3 Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn tí ń pa ìdájọ́ mọ́? Ẹni tí n ṣe ohun tí ó tọ́.
Happy are those that observe justice, that execute righteousness at all times.
4 Rántí mi, Olúwa, nígbà tí o bá fi ojúrere rẹ hàn, wá sí ìhà mi nígbà tí ìwọ bá gbà wọ́n,
Remember me, O Lord, when thou favorest thy people: oh visit me with thy salvation;
5 kí èmi kí ó lè jẹ ìgbádùn àlàáfíà àwọn tí ìwọ ti yàn, kí èmi kí ó sì darapọ̀ mọ́ àwọn ènìyàn, ìní rẹ láti jọ yìn ọ́ lógo.
That I may look on the happiness of thy elect, that I may rejoice in the joy of thy nation, that I may glorify myself with thy inheritance.
6 Àwa ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn baba wa ti ṣe, àwa ti ṣe ohun tí kò dá a, a sì ti hùwà búburú.
We have sinned together with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7 Nígbà tí àwọn baba wa wà ní Ejibiti, iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ kò yé wọn, wọn kò rántí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àánú rẹ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ṣe ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọ níbi Òkun, àní níbi Òkun Pupa.
Our fathers did not reflect on thy wonders in Egypt: they remembered not the multitude of thy kindnesses; but rebelled at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n o gbà wọ́n là nítorí orúkọ rẹ láti jẹ́ kí agbára ńlá rẹ di mí mọ̀.
Nevertheless he saved them for the sake of his name, to make known his might.
9 O bá Òkun Pupa wí, ó sì gbẹ; o sì mú wọn la ìbú já bí aginjù.
He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; and he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 O gbà wọ́n là kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá wọn, láti ọwọ́ ọ̀tá ni o ti gbà wọ́n.
And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Omi ya lu àwọn ọ̀tá wọn; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sí èyí tí ó yè nínú wọn.
And the waters covered their adversaries: not one of them was left.
12 Nígbà náà wọn gba ìpinnu rẹ gbọ́ wọ́n sì kọrin ìyìn rẹ.
Then believed they in his words, they sang his praise.
13 Ṣùgbọ́n wọn kò pẹ́ gbàgbé ohun tí o ṣe wọn kò sí dúró gba ìmọ̀ràn rẹ.
Speedily they forgot his works, they waited not for his counsel;
14 Nínú aginjù ni wọ́n tí ṣe ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́, nínú aṣálẹ̀, wọ́n dán Ọlọ́run wò.
And they felt a lustful longing in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
15 Nígbà náà, ó fún wọn ní ohun tí wọ́n béèrè fún ṣùgbọ́n ó rán àìsàn búburú sí wọn.
And he gave them what they had asked; but sent dryness into their soul.
16 Nínú ibùdó ni wọ́n ṣe ìlara Mose pẹ̀lú Aaroni, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ mímọ́ sí Olúwa.
Moreover they envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
17 Ilẹ̀ la ẹnu ó sì gbé Datani mì ó bo ẹgbẹ́ Abiramu mọ́lẹ̀.
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered over the company of Abiram.
18 Ọwọ́ iná yọ ní ẹgbẹ́ àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀; iná jo àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
And a fire was kindled in their company: the flame burnt up the wicked.
19 Ní Horebu wọ́n ṣe ẹgbọrọ màlúù wọ́n sì sin òrìṣà tí a ṣe láti ara irin.
They made a calf in Horeb, and bowed themselves down to a molten image.
20 Wọ́n pa ògo wọn dà sí àwòrán màlúù, tí ń jẹ koríko.
And they exchanged their glory for the similitude of an ox that eateth herbs.
21 Wọ́n gbàgbé Ọlọ́run, ẹni tí ó gbà wọ́n ẹni tí ó ti ṣe ohun ńlá ní Ejibiti,
They forgot God their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt,
22 iṣẹ́ ìyanu ní ilẹ̀ Hamu àti ohun ẹ̀rù ni ẹ̀bá Òkun Pupa.
Wonders in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
23 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, ó sọ wí pé, òun yóò pa wọ́n run bí kò bá ṣe ti Mose, tí ó yàn, tí ó dúró níwájú ẹ̀yà náà tí ó pa ìbínú rẹ̀ mọ́ láti má pa wọ́n run mọ́.
He therefore spoke of destroying them: had not Moses his elect stood in the breach before him, to turn away his fury, that he might not destroy.
24 Nígbà náà, wọ́n kẹ́gàn ilẹ̀ dídára náà wọn kò gba ìlérí rẹ̀ gbọ́.
And they despised the pleasant land, they believed not in his word;
25 Wọ́n ń kùn nínú àgọ́ wọn wọn kò sì gbọ́rọ̀ sí Olúwa.
But they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord.
26 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó búra fún wọn nípa gbígbé ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sókè kí òun lè jẹ́ kí wọn ṣubú nínú aginjù,
He therefore lifted up his hand against them, to cause them to fall in the wilderness;
27 láti jẹ́ kí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ṣubú lára orílẹ̀-èdè láti fọ́n wọn káàkiri lórí ilẹ̀.
And to let their seed fall among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28 Wọ́n da ara wọn pọ̀ mọ́ Baali-Peori, wọ́n sì ń jẹ ẹbọ tí a rú sí àwọn òkú òrìṣà,
And they joined themselves unto Ba'al-pe'or, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 wọ́n mú Ọlọ́run bínú pẹ̀lú ohun búburú tí wọn ń ṣe àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn jáde láàrín wọn.
And they provoked him to anger with their deeds: and there broke in among them the plague.
30 Ṣùgbọ́n Finehasi dìde láti dá sí i, àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn náà sì dáwọ́ dúró lọ́gán.
Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and the plague was stayed.
31 A sì ka èyí sí òdodo fún un àti fún àwọn ìrandíran tí ń bọ̀
And it was accounted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for evermore.
32 Níbi omi Meriba, wọ́n bí Ọlọ́run nínú, ohun búburú wá sí orí Mose nítorí wọn.
They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, and evil happened to Moses for their sake;
33 Nítorí tí wọ́n ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run. Ọ̀rọ̀ àìdára sì ti ẹnu Mose wá.
Because they had embittered his spirit, and so he spoke thoughtlessly with his lips.
34 Wọn kò pa àwọn ènìyàn run gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti sọ fún wọn,
They did not exterminate the nations, that the Lord had indicated to them;
35 Ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n dàpọ̀ mọ́ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, wọ́n sì gbà láti ṣe bí àṣà wọn.
But they mingled themselves among the nations, and learned their doings.
36 Wọ́n sì sin àwọn òrìṣà wọn tí ó di ìkẹ́kùn fún wọn.
And they served their idols, and these became unto them a snare.
37 Wọ́n fi àwọn ọmọkùnrin wọn rú ẹbọ àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin fún òrìṣà.
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto the evil spirits;
38 Wọ́n ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ sílẹ̀, ẹ̀jẹ̀ àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin wọ. Wọ́n fi wọ́n rú ẹbọ sí ère Kenaani, ilẹ̀ náà sì di àìmọ́ fún ẹ̀jẹ̀.
And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood-guiltiness.
39 Wọ́n sì fi ìṣe wọn sọ ara wọn di aláìmọ́, wọ́n sì ṣe àgbèrè lọ pẹ̀lú iṣẹ́ wọn.
Thus were they made unclean through their own doings, and went astray with their own deeds.
40 Nígbà náà ni Olúwa bínú sí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ó sì kórìíra àwọn ènìyàn ìní rẹ̀
therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and be felt disgust for his own inheritance.
41 Ó sì fà wọ́n lé àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè lọ́wọ́, àwọn ọ̀tá wọn sì jẹ ọba lórí wọn.
And he gave them up into the hand of the nations: and there ruled over them those that hated them.
42 Àwọn ọ̀tá wọn sì ń pọ́n wọn lójú wọn sì mú wọn sìn lábẹ́ àṣẹ wọn.
And their enemies also oppressed them: and they were subdued under their hand.
43 Ní ọ̀pọ̀ ìgbà òun gbà wọ́n, síbẹ̀ wọ́n sì ń ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí i wọ́n sì ṣòfò dànù nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn.
Many times did he deliver them; but they rebelled with their counsel, and they were brought low through their iniquity.
44 Ṣùgbọ́n ó kíyèsi wọn nítorí ìṣòro nígbà tí ó gbọ́ ẹkún wọn,
Nevertheless he looked on when they were in distress, when he heard their entreaty.
45 ó rántí májẹ̀mú rẹ̀ nítorí wọn Nítorí agbára ìfẹ́ rẹ̀, ó ṣàánú wọn.
And he remembered unto them his covenant, and he bethought himself according to the abundance of his kindnesses;
46 Lójú gbogbo àwọn tí ó kó wọn ní ìgbèkùn ó mú wọn rí àánú.
And be caused them to find mercy before all those that had carried them away captive.
47 Gbà wá, Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa, kí o sì ṣà wá jọ kúrò láàrín àwọn kèfèrí, láti máa fi ọpẹ́ fún orúkọ mímọ́ rẹ láti máa ṣògo nínú ìyìn rẹ.
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks unto thy holy name, to triumph in thy praise.
48 Olùbùkún ni Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli, láti ìrandíran. Jẹ́ kí gbogbo ènìyàn kí ó wí pé, “Àmín!” Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa!
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen, Hallelujah.
