1 Lẹ́yìn àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn Olúwa sọ fún Mose àti Eleasari ọmọ Aaroni, àlùfáà pé,
After the plague was over, the Lord told Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,
2 “Ka iye gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọ́n; láti ẹni ogun ọdún àti jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ tí ó lè jà lójú ogun ní Israẹli.”
“Census all the Israelites by family—all those twenty years of age or older who are eligible for military service in the army of Israel.”
3 Lórí pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ ti Moabu pẹ̀lú Jordani tí ó kọjá Jeriko, Mose àti Eleasari àlùfáà sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú wọn ó wí pé,
There on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest gave the order,
4 “Ka iye àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ-ogun ọdún tàbí jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti pàṣẹ fún Mose.” Èyí ni àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tí ó jáde láti Ejibiti wá.
“Census the men twenty years of age or older, following the instructions the Lord gave to Moses.” The following is the genealogical record of those who left the land of Egypt.

These were the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn: Hanoch, ancestor of the Hanochite family; Pallu, ancestor of the Palluite family;
6 ti Hesroni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Hesroni; ti Karmi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Karmi.
Hezron, ancestor of the Hezronite family; and Carmi, ancestor of the Carmite family.
7 Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Reubeni; àwọn tí a sì kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá mọ́kànlélógún ó lé lẹ́gbẹ̀sán ó dín àádọ́rin.
These were the families descended from Reuben and they numbered 43,730.
8 Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Pallu ni Eliabu,
Pallu's son was Eliab,

and Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. (It was Dathan and Abiram, leaders chosen by the Israelites, who joined the rebellion against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah when they rebelled against the Lord.
10 Ilẹ̀ sì la ẹnu rẹ̀, ó sì gbé wọn mì pọ̀ pẹ̀lú Kora, nígbà tí ẹgbẹ́ rẹ̀ kú níbi tí iná ti run àwọn àádọ́ta lé nígba ọkùnrin. Tí wọ́n sì di àmì ìkìlọ̀.
The earth opened up and swallowed them down, along with Korah. His followers died when the fire burned up 250 men. What happened to them was a warning to the Israelites.

Zerah, ancestor of the Zerahite family; and Shaul, ancestor of the Shaulite family.

Ozni, ancestor of the Oznite family; Eri, ancestor of the Erite family;
17 ti Arodi, ìdílé Arodi; ti Areli, ìdílé Areli.
Arod, ancestor of the Arodite family; Areli, ancestor of the Arelite family.

These were the families descended from Gad and they numbered 40,500.

The sons of Judah who died in Canaan were Er and Onan. These were the descendants of Judah by family:

Jashub, ancestor of the Jashubite family; and Shimron, ancestor of the Shimronite family.

These were the families descended from Isaachar and they numbered 64,300.

These were the families descended from Zebulun, and they numbered 60, 500.

These were descendants of Joseph by family through Manasseh and Ephraim:

Shemida, ancestor of the Shemidaite family; and Hepher, ancestor of the Hepherite family.

(Zelophehad, son of Hepher, didn't have any sons, only daughters. Their names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.)

These were the families descended from Manasseh, and they numbered 52,700.

These were the descendants of Ephraim by family: Shuthelah, ancestor of the Shuthelahite family; Becher, ancestor of the Becherite family; and Tahan, ancestor of the Tahanite family.
36 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Ṣutelahi: ti Erani, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Erani.
The descendant of Shuthelah was Eran, ancestor of the Eranite family.
37 Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Efraimu, àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn sì jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́rìndínlógún ó lé lẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta. Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Josẹfu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn.
These were the families descended from Ephraim, and they numbered 32,500. These families were the descendants of Joseph.

These were the descendants of Benjamin by family: Bela, ancestor of the Belaite family; Ashbel, ancestor of the Ashbelite family; Ahiram, ancestor of the Ahiramite family;
39 ti Ṣufamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣufamu; ti Hufamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Hufamu.
Shupham, ancestor of the Shuphamite family; and Hupham, ancestor of the Huphamite family.
40 Àwọn ọmọ Bela ní ipasẹ̀ Ardi àti Naamani nìyìí: ti Ardi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ardi; ti Naamani, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Naamani.
The descendants of Bela were Ard, ancestor of the Ardite family; and Naaman, ancestor of the Naamite family.
41 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Benjamini; gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn; àti àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélógún ó lé ẹgbẹ̀jọ.
These were the families descended from Benjamin, and they numbered 45,600.
42 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Dani gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Ṣuhamu, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣuhamu. Wọ̀nyí ni ìdílé Dani gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn.
These were the descendants of Dan by family: Shuham, ancestor of the Shuhamite families.
43 Gbogbo ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Ṣuhamu, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a kà nínú wọn jẹ́ ẹgbàá méjìlélọ́gbọ̀n ó lé irinwó.
They were all Shuhamite families, and they numbered 64,400.
44 Ti àwọn ọmọ Aṣeri gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Imina, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Imina; ti Iṣfi, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Iṣfi; ti Beriah, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Berii.
These were the descendants of Asher by family: Imnah, ancestor of the Imnite family; Ishvi, ancestor of the Ishvite family; and Beriah, ancestor of the Beriite family.

The descendants of Beriah were Heber, ancestor of the Heberite family; and Malchiel, ancestor of the Malchielite family.

These were the descendants of Naphtali by family: Jahzeel, ancestor of the Jahzeelite family; Guni, ancestor of the Gunite family;

Jezer, ancestor of the Jezerite family; and Shillem, ancestor of the Sheillemite family.

“Divide the land that is to be owned based on the number of those censused.
54 Fún àwọn ọ̀pọ̀ ni kí ìwọ ó fún ní ogún ìlú púpọ̀ àti fún àwọn tí ó kéré ni kí ìwọ ó fi kékeré fún, ẹnìkọ̀ọ̀kan gbọdọ̀ gba ogún ìbí tirẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ènìyàn tí a kọ.
Give a larger area of land to large tribe, and a smaller area to a smaller tribe. Each tribe shall receive their allotment of land depending on their number counted in the census.
55 Rí dájú pé ilẹ̀ yìí gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ fífi ìbò pín gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọn sì ti pọ̀ tó. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí orúkọ ẹ̀yà àwọn baba wọn ni kí wọn kí ó ni í.
The land has to be divided up by casting lots. Everyone shall receive their allotted land based on the name of their ancestor's tribe.
56 Olúkúlùkù ogún ìní ni a gbọdọ̀ fi ìbò pín gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ti pọ̀ tó láàrín ńlá àti kékeré.”
Every allocation of land is to be divided by casting lots among the tribes, whether large or small.”
57 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Lefi tí a kà nínú wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn: ti Gerṣoni, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Gerṣoni; ti Kohati, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Kohati; ti Merari, ìdílé àwọn ọmọ Merari.
These were the Levites censused by family: Gershon, ancestor of the Gershonite family; Kohath, ancestor of the Kohathite family; and Merari, ancestor of the Merarite family.

The following were the families of the Levites: the Libnite family, the Hebronite family, the Mahlite family, the Mushite family, and the Korahite family. Kohath was the father of Amram,
59 orúkọ aya Amramu sì ń jẹ́ Jokebedi, ọmọbìnrin Lefi, tí ìyá rẹ̀ bí fún Lefi ní Ejibiti. Òun sì bí Aaroni, Mose, àti Miriamu arábìnrin wọn fún Amramu.
and the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed. She was a descendant of Levi, born while the Levites were in Egypt. She had children with Amram: Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.
60 Aaroni ni baba Nadabu àti Abihu, Eleasari àti Itamari.
Aaron's sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar,
61 Ṣùgbọ́n Nadabu àti Abihu kú, nígbà tí wọ́n rú ẹbọ níwájú Olúwa nígbà tí wọ́n mú iná àjèjì wá.)
but Nadab and Abihu died when they offered forbidden fire in the Lord's presence.
62 Gbogbo àwọn ọmọkùnrin Lefi láti oṣù kan àti ju bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlélógún ó lé lẹ́gbẹ̀rún. Wọn kò ka wọ́n mọ́ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tókù nítorí tí wọ́n kò gba ogún ìní lára wọn.
The number of the Levites censused totaled 23,000. This included every male one month old or older. However, they were not counted with the other Israelites, because no land allotment was given to them with the other Israelites.
63 Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni Mose àti Eleasari àlùfáà kà nígbà tí wọ́n ka àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Moabu lẹ́bàá odò Jordani létí Jeriko.
This is the record of those were censused by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho.
64 Kò sí ẹnìkan nínú àwọn tí Mose àti Aaroni àlùfáà kà nígbà tí wọ́n ka àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ní aginjù Sinai.
However, they did not include a single one who had previously been censused by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Sinai Desert,
65 Nítorí Olúwa ti sọ fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli pé kíkú ni wọn yóò kú sí aginjù, kò sì sí ẹnìkankan nínú wọn tí kò kú àfi Kalebu ọmọ Jefunne, àti Joṣua ọmọ Nuni.
because the Lord had told them that they would all die in the desert. No one was left except Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, son of Nun.
