Gbogbo àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ lọ́kùnrin, lóbìnrin wá láti tù ú nínú, ṣùgbọ́n kò gbà. Ó wí pé, “Rárá, nínú ọ̀fọ̀ yìí ni èmi yóò lọ sí isà òkú lọ́dọ̀ ọmọ mi.” Baba Josẹfu sì sọkún fún un. (Sheol h7585)
All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, "For I will go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) to my son, mourning." His father wept for him.
Ṣùgbọ́n Jakọbu wí pé, “Ọmọ mi kì yóò bá a yín lọ, ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀ ti kú, òun nìkan sì ni ó kù nínú àwọn ọmọ ìyá rẹ̀. Bí ohunkóhun bá ṣẹlẹ̀ sí i, ìbànújẹ́ ni yóò sì pa mi kú ni ọjọ́ ogbó mi yìí.” (Sheol h7585)
He said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585)."
Tí ẹ bá tún mú èyí lọ, kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi, tí ohunkóhun bá ṣe é, ìbànújẹ́ ni ẹ ó fi mú ewú orí mi lọ sí ipò òkú.’ (Sheol h7585)
If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585).'

it will happen, when he sees that the boy is no more, that he will die. Your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585).
Ṣùgbọ́n bí Olúwa bá ṣe ohun tuntun, tí ilẹ̀ sì la ẹnu, tó gbé wọn mì, àwọn pẹ̀lú gbogbo ohun tí wọ́n ní, tí wọ́n sì wọ inú ibojì wọn lọ láààyè, nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin ó mọ̀ pé àwọn ènìyàn yìí ti kẹ́gàn Olúwa.” (Sheol h7585)
But if the LORD makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585), then you shall understand that these men have despised the LORD."
Gbogbo wọn sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ sínú ibojì wọn láààyè pẹ̀lú ohun gbogbo tí wọ́n ní, ilẹ̀ sì padé mọ́ wọn, wọ́n sì ṣègbé kúrò láàrín ìjọ ènìyàn. (Sheol h7585)
So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585). The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly.

For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol (Sheol h7585), devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

"The LORD kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) and brings up.
Ọ̀já isà òkú yí mi káàkiri; ìkẹ́kùn ikú dojúkọ mí. (Sheol h7585)
The cords of Sheol (Sheol h7585) were around me. The snares of death caught me.
Ṣe sí í gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọgbọ́n rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n má ṣe jẹ́ kí ewú orí rẹ̀ sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sí isà òkú ní àlàáfíà. (Sheol h7585)
Do therefore according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray head go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) in peace.
Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, má ṣe kíyèsi í gẹ́gẹ́ bí aláìlẹ́ṣẹ̀, ọkùnrin ọlọ́gbọ́n ni ìwọ ṣe; ìwọ yóò mọ ohun tí ìwọ yóò ṣe sí i. Mú ewú orí rẹ̀ sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sínú isà òkú pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀.” (Sheol h7585)
Now therefore do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) with blood."

As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) will come up no more.
Ó ga ju àwọn ọ̀run lọ; kí ni ìwọ le è ṣe? Ó jìn ju jíjìn isà òkú lọ; kí ni ìwọ le mọ̀? (Sheol h7585)
They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol (Sheol h7585). What can you know?
“Háà! ìwọ ìbá fi mí pamọ́ ní ipò òkú, kí ìwọ kí ó fi mí pamọ́ ní ìkọ̀kọ̀, títí ìbínú rẹ yóò fi rékọjá, ìwọ ìbá lànà ìgbà kan sílẹ̀ fún mi, kí ó si rántí mi! (Sheol h7585)
"Oh that you would hide me in Sheol (Sheol h7585), that you would keep me secret until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time and remember me!

If I look for Sheol (Sheol h7585) as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,

Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol (Sheol h7585), or descend together into the dust?"

They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585).

Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol (Sheol h7585) those who have sinned.

Sheol (Sheol h7585) is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.

For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol (Sheol h7585), who shall give you thanks?

LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol (Sheol h7585). You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Má ṣe jẹ́ kí ojú ki ó tì mí, Olúwa; nítorí pé mo ké pè ọ́; jẹ́ kí ojú kí ó ti ènìyàn búburú; jẹ́ kí wọ́n lọ pẹ̀lú ìdààmú sí isà òkú. (Sheol h7585)
Let me not be disappointed, LORD, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol (Sheol h7585).

But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol (Sheol h7585), for he will receive me. (Selah)

Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585). For wickedness is among them, in their dwelling.

For your loving kindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol (Sheol h7585).

For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol (Sheol h7585).

What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol (Sheol h7585)? (Selah)

The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol (Sheol h7585) got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.

If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol (Sheol h7585), behold, you are there!

"As when one plows and breaks up the earth, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol (Sheol h7585)."

Let's swallow them up alive like Sheol (Sheol h7585), and whole, like those who go down into the pit.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol (Sheol h7585), where you are going.

Therefore Sheol (Sheol h7585) has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.

"Ask a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in Sheol (Sheol h7585), or in the height above."

Sheol (Sheol h7585) from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the departed spirits for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Gbogbo rẹ̀ ni ó di ìrẹ̀sílẹ̀ lọ sí ibojì, pẹ̀lú ariwo àwọn dùùrù rẹ, àwọn ìdin ni wọ́n fọ́nkálẹ̀ lábẹ́ rẹ àwọn ekòló sì ti bò ọ́ mọ́lẹ̀. (Sheol h7585)
Your pomp is brought down to Sheol (Sheol h7585), with the sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread out under you, and worms cover you.
Ṣùgbọ́n a ti rẹ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀ wọ inú ibojì lọ lọ sí ìsàlẹ̀ ọ̀gbun. (Sheol h7585)
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol (Sheol h7585), to the depths of the pit.
Ẹ fọ́n pé, “Àwa ti bá ikú mulẹ̀, pẹ̀lú ibojì ni àwa ti jọ ṣe àdéhùn. Nígbà tí ìbáwí gbígbóná fẹ́ kọjá, kò le kàn wá lára, nítorí a ti fi irọ́ ṣe ààbò o wa àti àìṣòótọ́ ibi ìpamọ́ wa.” (Sheol h7585)
"Because you have said, 'We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with Sheol (Sheol h7585). When the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.'"
Májẹ̀mú yín tí ẹ bá ikú dá ni a ó fa igi lé; àdéhùn yín pẹ̀lú ibojì ni kì yóò dúró. Nígbà tí ìbínú gbígbóná náà bá fẹ́ kọjá, a ó ti ipa rẹ̀ lù yín bolẹ̀. (Sheol h7585)
Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol (Sheol h7585) shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it.
Èmi wí pé, “Ní àárín gbùngbùn ọjọ́ ayé mi èmi ó ha kọjá lọ ní ibodè ikú kí a sì dùn mí ní àwọn ọdún mi tí ó ṣẹ́kù?” (Sheol h7585)
I said, "In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol (Sheol h7585). I am deprived of the residue of my years."

For Sheol (Sheol h7585) cannot praise you. Death cannot celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for your truth.

You went to the king with oil, increased your perfumes, sent your ambassadors far off, and degraded yourself even to Sheol (Sheol h7585).
“‘Èyí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Ní ọjọ́ ti a mú u wá sí isà òkú mo fi ọ̀fọ̀ ṣíṣe bo orísun omi jíjìn náà, mo dá àwọn ìṣàn omi rẹ̀ dúró, àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ omi rẹ̀ ní a dí lọ́nà. Nítorí rẹ̀ mo fi ìwúwo ọkàn wọ Lebanoni ní aṣọ, gbogbo igi igbó gbẹ dànù. (Sheol h7585)
"The Lord GOD says: 'In the day when he went down to Sheol (Sheol h7585), I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers. The great waters were stopped. I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) with those who descend into the pit. All the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth.

The strong among the mighty will speak to him out of the middle of Sheol (Sheol h7585) with those who help him. They have gone down. The uncircumcised lie still, slain by the sword.

They will not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) with their weapons of war and have laid their swords under their heads. Their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
