< Micah 6 >
1 Ẹ fi etí sí ohun tí Olúwa wí: “Dìde dúró, bẹ ẹ̀bẹ̀ fún ẹjọ́ rẹ níwájú òkè ńlá; sì jẹ́ kí àwọn òkè kéékèèké gbọ́ ohun tí ó fẹ́ wí.
Do but hear now what the Lord saith, Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
2 “Gbọ́, ìwọ òkè ńlá, ẹ̀sùn Olúwa; gbọ́, ìwọ ìpìlẹ̀ ilé ayérayé. Nítorí Olúwa ń bá àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ wíjọ́; òun yóò sì bá Israẹli rojọ́.
Hear ye, O mountains, the controversy of the Lord, and ye strong foundations of the earth! for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and with Israel will he plead.
3 “Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi, kí ni mo ṣe fún yín? Àti nínú kí ni mo ti dá yin lágara? Dá mi lóhùn.
O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherewith have I wearied thee? testify against me.
4 Nítorí èmi mú un yín gòkè láti ilẹ̀ Ejibiti wá, mo sì rà yín padà láti ilẹ̀ ẹrú wá. Mo rán Mose láti darí yín, bákan náà mo rán Aaroni àti Miriamu síwájú rẹ̀.
Although I had brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bond-men; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 Ìwọ ènìyàn mi, rántí ohun tí Balaki ọba Moabu gbèrò àti ohun tí Balaamu ọmọ Beori dáhùn. Rántí ìrìnàjò rẹ̀ láti Ṣittimu dé Gilgali, kí ìwọ ba le mọ òdodo Olúwa.”
O my people, do but remember what Balak the king of Moab resolved, and what Bil'am the son of Be'or answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, in order that ye may know the gracious benefits of the Lord.
6 Kí ni èmi yóò ha mú wá síwájú Olúwa tí èmi ó fi tẹ ara mi ba níwájú Ọlọ́run gíga? Kí èmi ha wá sí iwájú rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ọrẹ ẹbọ sísun, pẹ̀lú ọmọ màlúù ọlọ́dún kan?
Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, bow myself before the God on high? shall I come before him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old!
7 Ǹjẹ́ Olúwa yóò ní inú dídùn sí ẹgbẹgbàarùn-ún àgbò, tàbí sí ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá ìṣàn òróró? Èmi yóò ha fi àkọ́bí mi sílẹ̀ fún ìré-òfin-kọjá mi, èso inú ara mi fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ọkàn mi?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with myriads of streams of oil? shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 Ó ti fihàn ọ́, ìwọ ènìyàn, ohun tí ó dára, àti ohun tí Olúwa ń béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ? Bí kò ṣe láti ṣe òtítọ́, kí o sì fẹ́ràn àánú, àti kí o rìn ní ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ pẹ̀lú Ọlọ́run rẹ̀.
He hath told thee, O man, what is good; and what the Lord doth require of thee: [nothing] but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God.
9 Gbọ́! Ohùn Olúwa kígbe sí ìlú ńlá náà, láti jẹ ọlọ́gbọ́n ni láti bẹ̀rù orúkọ rẹ. “Ẹ kíyèsi ọ̀pá rẹ̀ gbọ́ ọ̀pá àti Ẹni náà tí ó yàn án.
The voice of the Lord calleth unto the city, —and [the man of] wisdom shall see thy name: —hear ye the rod [of punishment], and who hath ordained it.
10 Ǹjẹ́ ìṣúra ìwà búburú ha wà ní ilé ènìyàn búburú síbẹ̀, àti òsùwọ̀n àìkún tí ó jẹ́ ohun ìbínú?
Are there yet in the house of the wicked man the treasures of wickedness, and the scant accursed measure?
11 Ǹjẹ́ èmi ha lè kà wọ́n sí mímọ́ pẹ̀lú òsùwọ̀n búburú, pẹ̀lú àpò òsùwọ̀n ẹ̀tàn?
Can I be pure with wicked balances, and with a bag [full] of deceptive weights?
12 Àwọn ọlọ́rọ̀ inú rẹ̀ kún fún ìwà ipá; àwọn tí ń gbé inú rẹ̀ ti ọ̀rọ̀ èké àti ahọ́n wọn ń sọ ẹ̀tàn?
For her rich men are full of violence, and her inhabitants have spoken falsehood, and their tongue is deceit [itself] in their mouth.
13 Nítorí náà ni èmi yóò ṣe mú ọ ṣàìsàn ní lílù ọ́, láti sọ ọ́ dahoro nítorí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ.
Therefore have I also smitten thee with sore wounds, making [thee] desolate because of thy sins.
14 Ìwọ yóò jẹun ṣùgbọ́n kì yóò yó; ìyàn yóò wà láàrín rẹ. Ìwọ yóò kó pamọ́, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò lò láìléwu, nítorí ohun tí ìwọ kò pamọ́ ni èmi yóò fi fún idà.
Thou wilt indeed eat, but not be satisfied; and what thou hast eaten shall bend thee down; and thou wilt overtake [the enemy], but thou shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
15 Ìwọ yóò gbìn ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò kórè ìwọ yóò tẹ olifi, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò fi òróró rẹ̀ kún ara rẹ; ìwọ yóò tẹ èso àjàrà, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò mu wáìnì.
Thou wilt indeed sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou wilt indeed tread out olives, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with oil; and the juice of the grapes, but thou shalt not drink wine.
16 Nítorí tí ìwọ ti pa òfin Omri mọ́, àti gbogbo iṣẹ́ ilé Ahabu, tí ó sì ti tẹ̀lé ìmọ̀ràn wọn, nítorí náà ni èmi yóò ṣe mú ọ fún ìparun àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ fún ìfiṣe ẹlẹ́yà; ìwọ yóò sì ru ẹ̀gàn àwọn ènìyàn mi.”
For there are observed the statutes of 'Omri, and all the works of the house of Achab, and ye walk in their counsels: in order that I should give thee up unto desolation, and thy inhabitants to derision; and ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
