Mark 3
1 Nígbà tí Jesu wá sí Sinagọgu. Sì kíyèsi i ọkùnrin kan wà níbẹ̀, tí ọwọ́ rẹ̀ kan rọ.
Again he went into a synagogue where there was a man with his hand withered.
2 Àwọn kan nínú wọn sì ń wa ọ̀nà láti fi ẹ̀sùn kan Jesu. Nítorí náà, wọ́n ń ṣọ́ Ọ bí yóò mú un láradá ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi.
And they kept watching Jesus to see whether he would cure him on the Sabbath; so as to have some charge to bring against him.
3 Jesu wí fún ọkùnrin tí ọwọ́ rẹ̀ rọ náà pé, “Dìde dúró ní iwájú ìjọ ènìyàn.”
"Stand up," Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, "and come forward."
4 Nígbà náà ni Jesu béèrè lọ́wọ́ wọn pé, “Ǹjẹ́ ó bá òfin mu ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi bóyá láti ṣe rere, tàbí láti ṣe búburú! Láti gbà ẹ̀mí là, tàbí pa á run?” Ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n dákẹ́ láìfèsì.
Then he asked them. "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath Day, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?"
5 Nígbà tí ó sì wo gbogbo wọn yíká pẹ̀lú ìbínú, ọkàn rẹ̀ sì bàjẹ́ nítorí líle àyà wọn, ó sọ fún ọkùnrin náà pé, “Na ọwọ́ rẹ jáde.” Ó nà án jáde, ọwọ́ náà sì bọ̀ sípò padà pátápátá.
They were silent. Then looking around upon them with anger, and deeply grieved by the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand!" He stretched it out, and the hand was at once completely restored.
6 Lójúkan náà, àwọn Farisi jáde lọ, láti bá àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn Herodu gbìmọ̀ pọ̀, bí wọn yóò ṣe pa Jesu.
As soon as they came out, the Pharisees plotted against him with the Herodians, in order to destroy him.
7 Jesu pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ yẹra kúrò níbẹ̀ lọ sí etí Òkun. Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn láti Galili àti Judea sì tọ̀ ọ́ lẹ́yìn.
Then Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great crowd of people from Galilee followed.
8 Nígbà tí wọ́n gbọ́ ìròyìn iṣẹ́ ìyanu tí ó ṣe, ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá láti Judea, Jerusalẹmu àti Idumea, àti láti apá kejì odò Jordani àti láti ìhà Tire àti Sidoni.
From Judea, too, and Jerusalem, and Idumea, and from beyond Jordan, and from the district of Tyre and Sidon, they came to him a vast multitude, because they heard what he was doing.
9 Nítorí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn, Jesu sọ fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ láti ṣètò ọkọ̀ ojú omi kékeré kan sílẹ̀ fún un láti lọ, láti lé àwọn èrò sẹ́yìn.
So he directed his disciples to keep a little boat in readiness for him, because of the crowd, to prevent their crushing him.
10 Nítorí tí ó mú ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn láradá, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn aláìsàn ló bí ara wọn lù ú láti fi ọwọ́ kàn án.
For he had healed so many that all the people who had ailments pressed upon him so as to touch him.
11 Ìgbàkúgbà tí àwọn tí ó ni ẹ̀mí àìmọ́ bá ti fojú ri, wọ́n á wólẹ̀ níwájú rẹ̀. Wọn a sì kígbe lóhùn rara wí pé, “Ìwọ ni Ọmọ Ọlọ́run.”
And whenever the unclean spirits beheld him, they threw themselves down at his feet, screaming out, "You are the Son of God."
12 Ṣùgbọ́n ó kìlọ̀ fún wọn gidigidi, kí wọn má ṣe fi òun hàn.
But over and over, he strictly forbade them to make him known.
13 Jesu gun orí òkè lọ, ó sì pe àwọn kan tí ó yàn láti wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, wọ́n sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá.
Then he went up the hillside and called to him those whom he chose, and they came to him.
14 Ó yan àwọn méjìlá, kí wọn kí ó lè wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, àti kí ó lè rán wọn lọ láti wàásù
Twelve of them whom he also called "Apostles," he appointed to be with him, and also that he might send them out to preach,
15 àti láti lágbára láti lé àwọn ẹ̀mí Èṣù jáde.
and to have authority to cast out demons.
16 Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn méjìlá náà tí ó yàn: Simoni (ẹni ti ó sọ àpèlé rẹ̀ ní Peteru),
There was Simon, whom he surnamed Peter,
17 Jakọbu ọmọ Sebede àti Johanu arákùnrin rẹ̀ (àwọn ẹni tí Jesu sọ àpèlé wọ́n ní Boanaji, èyí tí ó túmọ̀ sí “àwọn ọmọ àrá”).
and James(them he surnamed Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder),
18 Àti Anderu, Filipi, Bartolomeu, Matiu, Tomasi, Jakọbu ọmọ Alfeu, Taddeu, Simoni tí ń jẹ́ Sealoti
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and Jamesthe son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot,
19 àti Judasi Iskariotu, ẹni tí ó fi í hàn níkẹyìn.
and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.
20 Nígbà náà ni Jesu sì wọ inú ilé kan, àwọn èrò sì tún kórajọ, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí Òun àti àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ kò rí ààyè láti jẹun.
Then he went into a house, but again such a multitude assembled that they could not get their food.
21 Nígbà tí àwọn ẹbí rẹ̀ gbọ́ èyí, wọ́n wá láti mú un lọ ilé, nítorí tí wọn wí pé, “Orí rẹ̀ ti dàrú.”
When his relatives heard of it, they came to take possession of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 Àwọn olùkọ́ni ní òfin sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá láti Jerusalẹmu, wọ́n sì wí pé, “Ó ni Beelsebulu, olórí àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù, ni ó sì fi ń lé àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù jáde!”
The Scribes also who had come down from Jerusalem, said, "He is Beelzebub," and, "He casts out demons by the power of the Prince of the demons."
23 Jesu pè wọ́n, ó sì fi òwe bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀: “Báwo ni Èṣù ṣe lè lé èṣù jáde?
So when he had called them to him he spoke to them in parables. "How," said he, "can Satan cast out Satan?
24 Bí ìjọba kan bá yapa sí ara rẹ̀, ìjọba náà yóò wó lulẹ̀.
If a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
25 Bákan náà, bí ilé kan bá sì yapa sí ara rẹ, ilé náà kí yóò le è dúró.
if a household be divided against itself, that household cannot stand;
26 Bí Èṣù bá sì dìde sí ara rẹ̀, tí ó sì yapa, òun kí yóò le è dúró ṣùgbọ́n òpin rẹ̀ yóò dé.
and if Satan has revolted against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand. Nay, he meets his end!
27 Kò sí ẹni tí ó le wọ ilé ọkùnrin alágbára kan lọ, kí ó sì kó o ní ẹrù lọ, bí kò ṣe pé ó kọ́kọ́ de ọkùnrin alágbára náà ní okùn, nígbà náà ni yóò lè kó ẹrù ní ilé rẹ̀.
"Indeed, no one can enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property without first binding the strong man; then he can plunder his house.
28 Lóòótọ́ ní mo wí fún yín, gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ni a ó dáríjì àwọn ọmọ ènìyàn, àti gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀-òdì.
In solemn truth I tell you that the sons of men shall be forgiven all their sins and all the blasphemies they may utter,
30 Òun sọ eléyìí fún wọn, nítorí tí wọ́n sọ pé, “Nípa agbára ẹ̀mí àìmọ́ ló ń ṣe àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ̀.”
Because they kept saying, "He has an unclean spirit."
31 Nígbà náà ni àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ àti ìyá wá, wọ́n dúró lóde, wọ́n sì ránṣẹ́ sí i, wọ́n ń pè é.
Then his mother and his brothers came up, and standing outside, they sent a messenger to him to call him.
32 Àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n jókòó lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ sì wí fún un pé, “Ìyá àti àwọn arákùnrin rẹ wà lóde.”
Now a crowd was sitting round him and they told him, "See! your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, wanting to see you."
33 Ṣùgbọ́n ó dá wọn lóhùn wí pé, “Ta ni í ṣe ìyá mi tàbí àwọn arákùnrin mi?”
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he replied.
34 Ó sì wò gbogbo àwọn tí ó jókòó lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ yíká, ó sì wí pé, “Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ìyá mi àti àwọn arákùnrin mi.
Then, with a glance at those who were in the circle sitting around him, he added.
35 Nítorí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá ń ṣe ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run, òun ni arákùnrin mi àti arábìnrin mi àti ìyá mi.”
"Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God, that one is my brother and sister and mother."
