< Mark 16 >
1 Nígbà tí ọjọ́ ìsinmi sì kọjá, Maria Magdalene, Maria ìyá Jakọbu, àti Salome mú òróró olóòórùn dídùn wá kí wọn bá à le fi kun Jesu lára.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, in order to come and anoint His body.
2 Ní kùtùkùtù ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní ọ̀sẹ̀, wọ́n wá sí ibi ibojì nígbà tí oòrùn bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí yọ,
So, very soon after sunrise on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb;
3 wọn sì ń bi ara wọn léèrè pé, “Ta ni yóò yí òkúta náà kúrò ní ẹnu ibojì fún wa?”
and they were saying to one another, 'Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"
4 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí wọn sì wò ó, wọ́n rí i pé a ti yí òkúta tí ó tóbi gidigidi náà kúrò.
But then, looking up, they saw that the stone was already rolled back: for it was of immense size.
5 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì wo inú ibojì náà, wọ́n rí ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin kàn tí ó wọ aṣọ funfun, ó jókòó ní apá ọ̀tún, ẹnu sì yà wọn.
Upon entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at their right hand, clothed in a long white robe. They were astonished and terrified.
6 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ má bẹ̀rù: ẹ̀yin ń wá Jesu tí Nasareti, tí a kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú. Ó jíǹde! Kò sí níhìn-ín yìí mọ́, ẹ wo ibi tí wọ́n gbé tẹ́ ẹ sí.
But he said to them, "Do not be terrified. It is Jesus you are looking for--the Nazarene who has been crucified. He has come back to life: He is not here: this is the place where they laid Him.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ lọ sọ fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ títí kan Peteru wí pé, ‘Òun ti ń lọ síwájú yín sí Galili. Ibẹ̀ ni ẹ̀yin yóò ti rí i, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti sọ fún yín.’”
But go and tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you into Galilee: and that there you will see Him, as He told you."
8 Wọ́n sáré jáde lọ kánkán, kúrò ní ibi ibojì náà, nítorí tí wọ́n wárìrì; ẹ̀rù sì bà wọn gidigidi; wọn kò wí ohunkóhun fún ẹnikẹ́ni, nítorí ẹ̀rù bá wọ́n.
So they came out, and fled from the tomb, for they were greatly agitated and surprised; and they said not a word to any one, for they were afraid.
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Nígbà tí Jesu jíǹde ní kùtùkùtù òwúrọ̀ ní ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní ọ̀sẹ̀, ó kọ́ fi ara hàn fun Maria Magdalene, ni ara ẹni tí ó ti lé ẹ̀mí Èṣù méje jáde.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) [But He rose to life early on the first day of the week, and appeared first to Mary of Magdala from whom He had expelled seven demons.
10 Òun sì lọ sọ fún àwọn tí ó ti ń bá a gbé, bí wọn ti ń gbààwẹ̀, tí wọ́n sì ń sọkún.
She went and brought the tidings to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping.
11 Àti àwọn, nígbà tí wọ́n sì gbọ́ pé Jesu wa láààyè, àti pé, òun ti rí i, wọn kò gbàgbọ́.
But they, when they were told that He was alive and that she had seen Him, could not believe it.
12 Lẹ́yìn èyí, ó sì fi ara hàn fún àwọn méjì ní ọ̀nà mìíràn, bí wọ́n ti ń rìn ní ọ̀nà, tí wọ́n sì ń lọ sí ìgbèríko.
Afterwards He showed Himself in another form to two of them as they were walking, on their way into the country.
13 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì mọ ẹni tí i ṣe, wọ́n sì lọ ròyìn fún àwọn ìyókù, síbẹ̀, àwọn ìyókù kò gbà wọ́n gbọ́.
These, again, went and told the news to the rest; but not even them did they believe.
14 Lẹ́yìn náà, Jesu fi ara rẹ̀ hàn fún àwọn mọ́kànlá níbi tí wọ́n ti ń jẹun papọ̀; Ó sì bá wọn wí fún àìgbàgbọ́ àti ọkàn líle wọn, nítorí wọn kò gba ẹ̀rí àwọn tí ó ti rí i lẹ́yìn àjíǹde rẹ̀ gbọ́.
Later still He showed Himself to the Eleven themselves whilst they were at table, and He upbraided them with their unbelief and obstinacy in not having believed those who had seen Him alive.
15 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ lọ sí gbogbo ayé, kí ẹ sì máa wàásù ìyìnrere mi fún gbogbo ẹ̀dá.
Then He said to them, "Go the whole world over, and proclaim the Good News to all mankind.
16 Ẹni tí ó bá gbàgbọ́, tí a sì tẹ̀bọmi yóò là. Ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ó bá kọ̀ tí kò gbàgbọ́ yóò jẹ̀bi.
He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
17 Àmì wọ̀nyí yóò sì máa bá àwọn tí ó gbàgbọ́ lọ. Ní orúkọ mi ni wọ́n yóò máa lé ẹ̀mí èṣù jáde. Wọn yóò máa fi èdè tuntun sọ̀rọ̀.
And signs shall attend those who believe, even such as these. By making use of my name they shall expel demons. They shall speak new languages.
18 Wọn yóò sì gbé ejò lọ́wọ́, bí wọ́n bá sì jẹ májèlé kò nípa wọ́n lára rárá. Wọ́n yóò gbé ọwọ́ lé àwọn aláìsàn, ara wọn yóò sì dá.”
They shall take up venomous snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison it shall do them no harm whatever. They shall lay their hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover."
19 Nígbà tí Jesu Olúwa sì ti bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀ báyìí tan, á gbé e lọ sí ọ̀run, ó sì jókòó lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún Ọlọ́run.
So the Lord Jesus after having thus spoken to them was taken up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
20 Àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ sì jáde lọ. Wọ́n ń wàásù káàkiri. Ọlọ́run sì wà pẹ̀lú wọn, ó sì ń fi ìdí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ múlẹ̀ nípa àwọn àmì tí ó tẹ̀lé e.
But they went out and made proclamation everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming their Message by the signs which accompanied it.]
