< Luke 20 >

1 Ní ọjọ́ kan, bí ó ti ń kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn ní tẹmpili tí ó sì ń wàásù ìyìnrere, àwọn olórí àlùfáà, àti àwọn akọ̀wé, pẹ̀lú àwọn àgbàgbà dìde sí i.
And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
2 Wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, “Sọ fún wa, àṣẹ wo ni ìwọ fi ń ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí? Tàbí ta ni ó fún ọ ní àṣẹ yìí?”
And spoke unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority do you these things? or who is he that gave you this authority?
3 Ó sì dáhùn ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Èmi pẹ̀lú yóò sì bi yín léèrè ọ̀rọ̀ kan; ẹ sì fi ìdáhùn fún mi.
And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; (logos) and answer me:
4 Ìtẹ̀bọmi Johanu, láti ọ̀run wá ni tàbí láti ọ̀dọ̀ ènìyàn?”
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 Wọ́n sì bá ara wọn gbèrò pé, “Bí àwa bá wí pé, ‘Láti ọ̀run wá ni,’ òun yóò wí pé, ‘Èéṣe tí ẹ̀yin kò fi gbà á gbọ́?’
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed all of you him not?
6 Ṣùgbọ́n bí àwa bá sì wí pé, ‘Láti ọ̀dọ̀ ènìyàn,’ gbogbo ènìyàn ni yóò sọ wá ní òkúta, nítorí wọ́n gbàgbọ́ pé, wòlíì ni Johanu.”
But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
7 Wọ́n sì dáhùn wí pé, “Àwa kò mọ̀ ibi tí ó ti wá.”
And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.
8 Jesu sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ǹjẹ́ èmi kì yóò wí fún yín àṣẹ tí èmi fi ń ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí.”
And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
9 Nígbà náà ni ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í pa òwe yìí fún àwọn ènìyàn pé, “Ọkùnrin kan gbin ọgbà àjàrà kan, ó sì fi ṣe àgbàtọ́jú fún àwọn olùṣọ́gbà, ó sì lọ sí àjò fún ìgbà pípẹ́.
Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
10 Nígbà tí ó sì tó àkókò, ó rán ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ kan sí àwọn olùṣọ́gbà náà, kí wọn lè fún un nínú èso ọgbà àjàrà náà, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn alágbàtọ́jú lù ú, wọ́n sì rán an padà lọ́wọ́ òfo.
And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 Ó sì tún rán ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ mìíràn, wọ́n sì lù ú pẹ̀lú, wọ́n sì jẹ ẹ́ ní yà, wọ́n sì rán an padà lọ́wọ́ òfo.
And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and pleaded him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 Ó sì tún rán ẹ̀kẹta: wọ́n sì sá a lọ́gbẹ́ pẹ̀lú, wọ́n sì tì í jáde.
And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.
13 “Nígbà náà ni Olúwa ọgbà àjàrà wí pé, ‘Èwo ni èmi ó ṣe? Èmi ó rán ọmọ mi àyànfẹ́ lọ: bóyá nígbà tí wọ́n bá rí i, wọn yóò bu ọlá fún un.’
Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.
14 “Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí àwọn alágbàtọ́jú náà rí i, wọ́n bá ara wọn gbèrò pé, ‘Èyí ni àrólé; ẹ wá, ẹ jẹ́ kí a pa á, kí ogún rẹ̀ lè jẹ́ ti wa.’
But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 Yóò wá, yóò sì pa àwọn alágbàtọ́jú náà run, yóò sì fi ọgbà àjàrà náà fún àwọn ẹlòmíràn.” Nígbà tí wọ́n sì gbọ́, wọ́n ní, “Kí a má ri i!”
He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.
17 Nígbà tí ó sì wò wọ́n, ó ní, “Èwo ha ni èyí tí a ti kọ̀wé rẹ̀ pé: “‘Òkúta tí àwọn ọ̀mọ̀lé kọ̀sílẹ̀, òun náà ni ó di pàtàkì igun ilé’?
And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
18 Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ṣubú lu òkúta náà yóò fọ́; ṣùgbọ́n ẹnikẹ́ni tí òun bá ṣubú lù, yóò lọ̀ ọ́ lúúlúú.”
Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
19 Àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn akọ̀wé ń wá ọ̀nà láti mú un ní wákàtí náà; ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n bẹ̀rù àwọn ènìyàn, nítorí tí wọ́n mọ̀ pé, ó pa òwe yìí mọ́ wọn.
And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
20 Wọ́n sì ń ṣọ́ ọ, wọ́n sì rán àwọn ayọ́lẹ̀wò tí wọ́n ṣe ara wọn bí ẹni pé olóòtítọ́ ènìyàn, kí wọn ba à lè gbá ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ mú, kí wọn ba à lè fi í lé agbára àti àṣẹ Baálẹ̀ lọ́wọ́.
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, (logos) that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
21 Wọ́n sì bí i, pé, “Olùkọ́ àwa mọ̀ pé, ìwọ a máa sọ̀rọ̀ fún ni, ìwọ a sì máa kọ́ni bí ó ti tọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ kì í ṣe ojúsàájú ẹnìkan ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ń kọ́ni ní ọ̀nà Ọlọ́run lóòtítọ́.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that you say and teach rightly, neither accept you the person of any, but teach the way of God truly:
22 Ǹjẹ́ ó tọ́ fún wa láti máa san owó òde fún Kesari, tàbí kò tọ́?”
Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
23 Ṣùgbọ́n ó kíyèsi àrékérekè wọn, ó sì wí fún wọn pé,
But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt all of you me?
24 “Ẹ fi owó idẹ kan hàn mí. Àwòrán àti àkọlé ti ta ni ó wà níbẹ̀?” Wọ́n sì dá a lóhùn pé, “Ti Kesari ni.”
Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription has it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
25 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ǹjẹ́ ẹ fi ohun tí i ṣe ti Kesari fún Kesari, àti ohun tí í ṣe ti Ọlọ́run fún Ọlọ́run.”
And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
26 Wọn kò sì lè gbá ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ mú níwájú àwọn ènìyàn: ẹnu sì yà wọ́n sí ìdáhùn rẹ̀, wọ́n sì pa ẹnu wọn mọ́.
And they could not take hold of his words (rhema) before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
27 Àwọn Sadusi kan sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá, àwọn tí wọ́n ń wí pé àjíǹde òkú kò sí wọ́n sì bi í,
Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,
28 wí pé, “Olùkọ́, Mose kọ̀wé fún wa pé, Bí arákùnrin ẹnìkan bá kú, ní àìlọ́mọ, tí ó sì ní aya, kí arákùnrin rẹ̀ ṣú aya rẹ̀ lópó, kí ó lè gbé irú-ọmọ dìde fún arákùnrin rẹ̀.
Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 Ǹjẹ́ àwọn arákùnrin méje kan ti wà; èkínní gbé ìyàwó, ó sì kú ní àìlọ́mọ.
There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
30 Èkejì sì ṣú u lópó: òun sì kú ní àìlọ́mọ.
And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
31 Ẹ̀kẹta sì ṣú u lópó: gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni àwọn méjèèje pẹ̀lú: wọn kò sì fi ọmọ sílẹ̀, wọ́n sì kú.
And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
32 Nígbẹ̀yìn pátápátá obìnrin náà kú pẹ̀lú.
Last of all the woman died also.
33 Ǹjẹ́ ní àjíǹde òkú, aya ti ta ni yóò ha ṣe nínú wọn? Nítorí àwọn méjèèje ni ó sá à ni í ní aya.”
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
34 Jesu sì dáhùn ó wí fún wọn pé, “Àwọn ọmọ ayé yìí a máa gbéyàwó, wọn a sì máa fa ìyàwó fún ni. (aiōn g165)
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: (aiōn g165)
35 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn tí a kà yẹ láti jogún ìyè ayérayé náà, àti àjíǹde kúrò nínú òkú, wọn kì í gbéyàwó, wọn kì í sì í fa ìyàwó fún ni. (aiōn g165)
But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: (aiōn g165)
36 Nítorí wọn kò lè kú mọ́; nítorí tí wọn bá àwọn angẹli dọ́gba; àwọn ọmọ Ọlọ́run sì ni wọ́n, nítorí wọ́n di àwọn ọmọ àjíǹde.
Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
37 Ní ti pé a ń jí àwọn òkú dìde, Mose tìkára rẹ̀ sì ti fihàn nínú igbó, nígbà tí ó pe ‘Olúwa ni Ọlọ́run Abrahamu, àti Ọlọ́run Isaaki, àti Ọlọ́run Jakọbu.’
Now that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni òun kì í ṣe Ọlọ́run àwọn òkú, bí kò ṣe ti àwọn alààyè, nítorí gbogbo wọn wà láààyè fún un.”
For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
39 Nígbà náà ni àwọn kan nínú àwọn akọ̀wé dá a lóhùn, pé, “Olùkọ́ ìwọ wí rere!”
Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, you have well said.
40 Wọn kò sì jẹ́ bi í léèrè ọ̀rọ̀ kan mọ́.
And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.
41 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Èéṣe tí wọ́n fi ń wí pé, ọmọ Dafidi ni Kristi?
And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?
42 Dafidi tìkára rẹ̀ sì wí nínú ìwé Saamu pé: “‘Olúwa sọ fún Olúwa mi pé: “Ìwọ jókòó ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún mi
And David himself says in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand,
43 títí èmi ó fi sọ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ di àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ rẹ.”’
Till I make your enemies your footstool.
44 Ǹjẹ́ bí Dafidi bá pè é ní ‘Olúwa.’ Òun ha sì ti ṣe jẹ́ ọmọ rẹ̀?”
David therefore calls him Lord, how is he then his son?
45 Ó sì wí fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ ní etí gbogbo ènìyàn pé,
Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,
46 “Ẹ máa kíyèsára lọ́dọ̀ àwọn akọ̀wé, tí wọ́n fẹ́ láti máa rìn nínú aṣọ gígùn, tí wọ́n sì fẹ́ ìkíni ní ọjà, àti ibùjókòó ọlá nínú Sinagọgu, àti ipò ọlá ní ibi àsè;
Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
47 Àwọn tí ó jẹ ilé àwọn opó run, tí wọ́n sì ń gbàdúrà gígùn fún àṣehàn, àwọn wọ̀nyí náà ni yóò jẹ̀bi pọ̀jù.”
Which devour widows' houses, and for a show make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
