< Luke 19 >

1 Jesu sì wọ Jeriko lọ, ó sì ń kọjá láàrín rẹ̀.
And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 Sì kíyèsi i, ọkùnrin kan wà tí a ń pè ní Sakeu, ó sì jẹ́ olórí agbowó òde kan, ó sì jẹ́ ọlọ́rọ̀.
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 Ó sì ń fẹ́ láti rí ẹni tí Jesu jẹ́: kò sì lè rí i, nítorí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn, àti nítorí tí òun jẹ́ ènìyàn kúkúrú.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 Ó sì súré síwájú, ó gun orí igi sikamore kan, kí ó bà lè rí i: nítorí tí yóò kọjá lọ níhà ibẹ̀.
And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 Nígbà tí Jesu sì dé ibẹ̀, ó gbé ojú sókè, ó sì rí i, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Sakeu! Yára, kí o sì sọ̀kalẹ̀; nítorí pé èmi yóò wọ ilé rẹ lónìí.”
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at your house.
6 Ó sì yára, ó sọ̀kalẹ̀, ó sì fi ayọ̀ gbà á.
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì rí i, gbogbo wọn ń kùn, wí pé, “Ó lọ bá ọkùnrin ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ náà ní àlejò.”
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 Sakeu sì dìde, ó sì wí fún Olúwa pé, “Wò ó, Olúwa, ààbọ̀ ohun ìní mi ni mo fi fún tálákà; bí mo bá sì fi èké gba ohun kan lọ́wọ́ ẹnikẹ́ni, èmi san án padà ní ìlọ́po mẹ́rin!”
And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 Jesu sì wí fún un pé, “Lónìí ni ìgbàlà wọ ilé yìí, níwọ̀n bí òun pẹ̀lú ti jẹ́ ọmọ Abrahamu.
And Jesus said to him, This day is salvation come to this house, as much as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 Nítorí Ọmọ Ènìyàn dé láti wá àwọn tí ó nù kiri, àti láti gbà wọ́n là.”
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ń gbọ́ nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ó sì tẹ̀síwájú láti pa òwe kan, nítorí tí ó súnmọ́ Jerusalẹmu, àti nítorí tí wọn ń rò pé, ìjọba Ọlọ́run yóò farahàn nísinsin yìí.
And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 Ó sì wí pé, “Ọkùnrin ọlọ́lá kan lọ sí ìlú òkèrè láti gba ìjọba kí ó sì padà.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 Ó sì pe àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ mẹ́wàá, ó fi owó mina mẹ́wàá fún wọn, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, ‘Ẹ máa ṣòwò títí èmi ó fi dé!’
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said to them, Occupy till I come.
14 “Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ará ìlù rẹ̀ kórìíra rẹ̀, wọ́n sì rán ikọ̀ tẹ̀lé e, wí pé, ‘Àwa kò fẹ́ kí ọkùnrin yìí jẹ ọba lórí wa.’
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 “Nígbà tí ó gba ìjọba tan, tí ó padà dé, ó pàṣẹ pé, kí a pe àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ wọ̀nyí tí òun ti fi owó fún wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, nítorí kí ó le mọ iye èrè tí olúkúlùkù ti jẹ nínú iṣẹ́ òwò wọn.
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 “Èyí èkínní sì wá, ó wí pé, ‘Olúwa, owó mina rẹ jèrè owó mina mẹ́wàá sí i.’
Then came the first, saying, Lord, your pound has gained ten pounds.
17 “Olúwa rẹ̀ sì wí fún un pé, ‘O ṣeun, ìwọ ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rere! Nítorí tí ìwọ ṣe olóòtítọ́ ní ohun kínkínní, gba àṣẹ lórí ìlú mẹ́wàá.’
And he said to him, Well, you good servant: because you have been faithful in a very little, have you authority over ten cities.
18 “Èyí èkejì sì wá, ó wí pé, ‘Olúwa, owó mina rẹ jèrè owó mina márùn.’
And the second came, saying, Lord, your pound has gained five pounds.
19 “Olúwa rẹ sì wí fún un pẹ̀lú pé, ‘Ìwọ pẹ̀lú joyè ìlú márùn-ún!’
And he said likewise to him, Be you also over five cities.
20 “Òmíràn sì wá, ó wí pé, ‘Olúwa, wò ó owó mina rẹ tí ń bẹ lọ́wọ́ mi ni mo dì sínú aṣọ pélébé kan;
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is your pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 nítorí mo bẹ̀rù rẹ, àti nítorí tí ìwọ ṣe òǹrorò ènìyàn, ìwọ a máa mú èyí tí ìwọ kò fi lélẹ̀, ìwọ a sì máa ká èyí tí ìwọ kò gbìn!’
For I feared you, because you are an austere man: you take up that you layed not down, and reap that you did not sow.
22 “Olúwa rẹ sì wí fún un pé, ‘Ní ẹnu ara rẹ náà ni èmi ó ṣe ìdájọ́ rẹ, ìwọ ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ búburú, ìwọ mọ̀ pé òǹrorò ènìyàn ni mí, pé, èmi a máa mú èyí tí èmi kò fi lélẹ̀ èmi a sì máa ká èyí tí èmi kò gbìn.
And he says to him, Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Èéha sì ti ṣe tí ìwọ kò fi owó mi pamọ́ sí ilé ìfowópamọ́, pé nígbà tí mo bá dé, èmi ìbá ti béèrè rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú èlé?’
Why then gave not you my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with usury?
24 “Ó sì wí fún àwọn tí ó dúró létí ibẹ̀ pé, ‘Ẹ gba owó mina náà lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀, kí ẹ sì fi í fún ẹni tí ó ní owó mina mẹ́wàá.’
And he said to them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that has ten pounds.
25 “Wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, ‘Olúwa, ó ní owó mina mẹ́wàá.’
(And they said to him, Lord, he has ten pounds.)
26 “Mo wí fún yín pé, ‘Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ní, ni a ó fi fún, àti lọ́dọ̀ ẹni tí kò ní èyí tí ó ní pàápàá a ó gbà á lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀.
For I say to you, That to every one which has shall be given; and from him that has not, even that he has shall be taken away from him.
27 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọ̀tá mi wọ̀nyí, tí kò fẹ́ kí èmi jẹ ọba lórí wọn ẹ mú wọn wá ìhín yìí, kí ẹ sì pa wọ́n níwájú mi!’”
But those my enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay them before me.
28 Nígbà tí ó sì ti wí nǹkan wọ̀nyí tan, ó lọ síwájú, ó ń gòkè lọ sí Jerusalẹmu.
And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
29 Ó sì ṣe, nígbà tí ó súnmọ́ Betfage àti Betani ní òkè tí a ń pè ní òkè olifi, ó rán àwọn méjì nínú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀.
And it came to pass, when he was come near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30 Wí pé, “Ẹ lọ sí ìletò tí ó kọjú sí yín; nígbà tí ẹ̀yin bá wọ̀ ọ́ lọ, ẹ̀yin ó rí ọmọ kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ kan tí a so, tí ẹnikẹ́ni kò gùn rí, ẹ tú u, kí ẹ sì fà á wá.
Saying, Go you into the village over against you; in the which at your entering you shall find a colt tied, where on yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him here.
31 Bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá sì bi yín pé, ‘Èéṣe tí ẹ̀yin fi ń tú u?’ Kí ẹ̀yin wí báyìí pé, ‘Olúwa ń fẹ́ lò ó.’”
And if any man ask you, Why do you loose him? thus shall you say to him, Because the Lord has need of him.
32 Àwọn tí a rán sì mú ọ̀nà wọn pọ̀n, wọ́n sì bá a gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti wí fún wọn.
And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said to them.
33 Bí wọ́n sì ti ń tú ọmọ kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ náà, àwọn Olúwa rẹ̀ bi wọ́n pé, “Èéṣe tí ẹ̀yin fi ń tu kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ náà?”
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said to them, Why loose you the colt?
34 Wọ́n sì wí pé, “Olúwa fẹ́ lò ó.”
And they said, The Lord has need of him.
35 Wọ́n sì fà á tọ Jesu wá, wọ́n sì tẹ́ aṣọ sí ẹ̀yìn ọmọ kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ náà, wọ́n sì gbé Jesu kà á.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments on the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
36 Bí ó sì ti ń lọ wọ́n tẹ́ aṣọ wọn sí ọ̀nà.
And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
37 Bí ó sì ti súnmọ́ etí ibẹ̀ ní gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ òkè olifi, gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í yọ̀, wọ́n sì fi ohùn rara yin Ọlọ́run, nítorí iṣẹ́ ńlá gbogbo tí wọ́n ti rí,
And when he was come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 wí pé, “Olùbùkún ni ọba tí ó ń bọ̀ wá ní orúkọ Olúwa!” “Àlàáfíà ní ọ̀run, àti ògo ni òkè ọ̀run!”
Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 Àwọn kan nínú àwọn Farisi nínú àwùjọ náà sì wí fún un pé, “Olùkọ́ bá àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ wí.”
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Master, rebuke your disciples.
40 Ó sì dá wọn lóhùn, ó wí fún wọn pé, “Mo wí fún yín, bí àwọn wọ̀nyí bá pa ẹnu wọn mọ́, àwọn òkúta yóò kígbe sókè.”
And he answered and said to them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 Nígbà tí ó sì súnmọ́ etílé, ó síjú wo ìlú náà, ó sọkún sí i lórí,
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Ó ń wí pé, “Ìbá ṣe pé ìwọ mọ̀, lónìí yìí, àní ìwọ, ohun tí í ṣe tí àlàáfíà rẹ! Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí wọ́n pamọ́ kúrò lójú rẹ.
Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong to your peace! but now they are hid from your eyes.
43 Nítorí ọjọ́ ń bọ̀ fún ọ, tí àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ yóò mọ odi bèbè yí ọ ká, àní tí wọn yóò sì yí ọ ká, wọn ó sì ká ọ mọ́ níhà gbogbo.
For the days shall come on you, that your enemies shall cast a trench about you, and compass you round, and keep you in on every side,
44 Wọn ó sì wó ọ palẹ̀ ìwọ àti àwọn ọmọ rẹ pẹ̀lú rẹ; wọn kì yóò sì fi òkúta kan sílẹ̀ lórí ara wọn; nítorí ìwọ kò mọ ọjọ́ ìbẹ̀wò rẹ.”
And shall lay you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave in you one stone on another; because you knew not the time of your visitation.
45 Ó sì wọ inú tẹmpili lọ, ó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí lé àwọn tí ń tà nínú rẹ̀ sóde;
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “A ti kọ̀wé rẹ̀ pé, ‘Ilé mi yóò jẹ́ ilé àdúrà?’ Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin ti sọ ọ́ di ihò àwọn ọlọ́ṣà.”
Saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but you have made it a den of thieves.
47 Ó sì ń kọ́ni lójoojúmọ́ ní tẹmpili, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn olórí àlùfáà, àti àwọn akọ̀wé, àti àwọn olórí àwọn ènìyàn ń wá ọ̀nà láti pa á.
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 Wọn kò sì rí nǹkan kan tí wọn ìbá ṣe; nítorí gbogbo ènìyàn ṣù mọ́ ọn láti gbọ́rọ̀ rẹ̀.
And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
