< Luke 17 >

1 Ó sì wí fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ pé, “Kò le ṣe kí ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ máa wa, ṣùgbọ́n ègbé ni fún ẹni tí ó ti ipasẹ̀ rẹ̀ dé.
Then Jesus said to the disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to the one through whom they come!
2 Ìbá sàn fún un kí a so ọlọ mọ́ ọn ní ọrùn, kí a sì gbé e jù sínú Òkun, ju kí ó mú ọ̀kan nínú àwọn kékeré wọ̀nyí kọsẹ̀.
It would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Ẹ máa kíyèsára yín. “Bí arákùnrin rẹ bá ṣẹ̀, bá a wí; bí ó bá sì ronúpìwàdà, dáríjì ín.
Watch yourselves. If yoʋr brother sins against yoʋ, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
4 Bí ó bá sì ṣẹ̀ ọ́ ní igba méje ní òòjọ́, tí ó padà tọ̀ ọ́ wá ní ìgbà méje ní òòjọ́ pé, ‘Mo ronúpìwàdà,’ dáríjì ín.”
Even if he sins against yoʋ seven times in a day, and seven times in that day he comes back and says, ‘I repent,’ yoʋ must forgive him.”
5 Àwọn aposteli sì wí fún Olúwa pé, “Bù sí ìgbàgbọ́ wa.”
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6 Olúwa sì wí pé, “Bí ẹ̀yin bá ní ìgbàgbọ́ bí hóró irúgbìn musitadi, ẹ̀yin yóò lè wí fún igi sikamine yìí pé, ‘Di fi fà á tu, kí a sì gbìn ọ́ sínú Òkun,’ yóò sì gbọ́ tiyín.
The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 “Ṣùgbọ́n ta ni nínú yín, tí ó ní ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀, tí ó ń tulẹ̀, tàbí tí ó ń bọ́ ẹran, tí yóò wí fún un lójúkan náà tí ó bá ti oko dé pé, ‘Lọ í jókòó láti jẹun’?
“Suppose one of you has a servant plowing the field or tending the sheep. As soon as he comes in from the field would you say, ‘Come and recline at the table’?
8 Tí kì yóò kúkú wí fún un pé, ‘Pèsè ohun tí èmi yóò jẹ, sì di àmùrè, kí ìwọ kí ó máa ṣe ìránṣẹ́ fún mi, títí èmi ó fi jẹ kí èmi ó sì mu tán; lẹ́yìn náà ni ìwọ ó sì jẹ, tí ìwọ ó sì mu’?
Instead, would yoʋ not say to him, ‘Prepare my supper. Put on yoʋr apron and serve me while I eat and drink; after that yoʋ may eat and drink’?
9 Òun ó ha máa dá ọpẹ́ lọ́wọ́ ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ náà, nítorí ó ṣe ohun tí a pàṣẹ fún un bí? Èmi kò rò bẹ́ẹ̀.
Do yoʋ thank that servant because he did what he was commanded? I think not.
10 Gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú, nígbà tí ẹ bá ti ṣe ohun gbogbo tí a pàṣẹ fún yín tán, ẹ wí pé, ‘Aláìlérè ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ ni wá: èyí tí í ṣe iṣẹ́ wa láti ṣe, ní àwa ti ṣe.’”
So you also, when you have done everything you were commanded to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what we were obligated to do.’”
11 Ó sì ṣe, bí ó ti ń lọ sí Jerusalẹmu, ó kọjá láàrín Samaria Galili.
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Bí ó sì ti ń wọ inú ìletò kan lọ, àwọn ọkùnrin adẹ́tẹ̀ mẹ́wàá pàdé rẹ̀, wọ́n dúró ní òkèrè,
As he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers who stood at a distance.
13 wọ́n sì kígbe sókè wí pé, “Jesu, Olùkọ́, ṣàánú fún wa.”
They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 Nígbà tí ó rí wọn, ó wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ lọ í fi ara yín hàn fún àwọn àlùfáà.” Ó sì ṣe, bí wọ́n ti ń lọ, wọ́n sì di mímọ́.
When he saw them, he said to them, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” As they went along, they were cleansed.
15 Nígbà tí ọ̀kan nínú wọn rí i pé a mú òun láradá ó padà, ó sì fi ohùn rara yin Ọlọ́run lógo.
When one of them saw that he had been healed, he came back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 Ó sì wólẹ̀ lẹ́bàá ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀, ó ń dúpẹ́ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀: ará Samaria ni òun í ṣe.
He then fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. (Now he was a Samaritan.)
17 Jesu sì dáhùn wí pé, “Àwọn mẹ́wàá kí a sọ di mímọ́? Àwọn mẹ́sàn-án ìyókù ha dà?
In response Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed? Where then are the other nine?
18 A kò rí ẹnìkan tí ó padà wá fi ògo fún Ọlọ́run, bí kò ṣe àlejò yìí?”
Were there none found who came back to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
19 Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Dìde, kí o sì máa lọ, ìgbàgbọ́ rẹ mú ọ láradá.”
Then he said to the man, “Rise and go on yoʋr way; yoʋr faith has healed yoʋ.”
20 Nígbà tí àwọn Farisi bi í pé, nígbà wo ni ìjọba Ọlọ́run yóò dé, ó dá wọn lóhùn pé, “Ìjọba Ọlọ́run kì í wá pẹ̀lú àmì.
At one point Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered them, “The kingdom of God does not come with observable signs,
21 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kì yóò wí pé, ‘Kíyèsi i níhìn-ín!’ tàbí ‘Kíyèsi i lọ́hùn ún ni!’ sá à wò ó, ìjọba Ọlọ́run ń bẹ nínú yín.”
nor will people say, ‘Behold, here it is!’ or, ‘Behold, there it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
22 Ó sì wí fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ pé, “Ọjọ́ ń bọ̀, nígbà tí ẹ̀yin yóò fẹ́ láti rí ọ̀kan nínú ọjọ́ Ọmọ Ènìyàn, ẹ̀yin kì yóò sì rí i.
Then he said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
23 Wọ́n sì wí fún yín pé, ‘Wò ó níhìn-ín!’ tàbí ‘Wò ó lọ́hùn ún!’ Ẹ máa lọ, ẹ má ṣe tẹ̀lé wọn.
People will say to you, ‘Behold, here he is!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ Do not go off with them or run after them,
24 Nítorí gẹ́gẹ́ bí mọ̀nàmọ́ná ti í kọ ní apá kan lábẹ́ ọ̀run, tí sì í mọ́lẹ̀ ní apá kejì lábẹ́ ọ̀run, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Ọmọ Ènìyàn yóò sì rí ní ọjọ́ rẹ̀.
for just as lightning flashes from one part of the sky and shines to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25 Ṣùgbọ́n kò lè ṣàìmá kọ́ jìyà ohun púpọ̀, kí a sì kọ̀ ọ́ lọ́dọ̀ ìran yìí.
But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 “Bí ó ti rí ní ọjọ́ Noa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni yóò rí ní ọjọ́ Ọmọ Ènìyàn.
Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.
27 Wọ́n ń jẹ, wọ́n ń mu, wọ́n ń gbéyàwó, wọ́n sì ń fa ìyàwó fún ni, títí ó fi di ọjọ́ ti Noa wọ inú ọkọ̀ lọ, kíkún omi sì dé, ó sì run gbogbo wọn.
People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 “Bí ó sì ti rí ní ọjọ́ Lọti; wọ́n ń jẹ, wọ́n ń mu, wọ́n ń rà, wọ́n ń tà, wọ́n ń gbìn, wọ́n ń kọ́lé,
It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.
29 ṣùgbọ́n ní ọjọ́ náà tí Lọti jáde kúrò ní Sodomu, òjò iná àti sulfuru rọ̀ láti ọ̀run wá, ó sì run gbogbo wọn.
But on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 “Gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni yóò rí ní ọjọ́ náà tí Ọmọ Ènìyàn yóò farahàn.
So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 Ní ọjọ́ náà, ẹni tí ó bá wà lórí ilé, tí ẹrù rẹ̀ sì ń bẹ ní ilẹ̀, kí ó má ṣe sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti wá kó o; ẹni tí ó bá sì wà ní oko, kí ó má ṣe padà sẹ́yìn.
On that day, he who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not come down to get them. Likewise, he who is in the field must not turn back.
32 Ẹ rántí aya Lọti.
Remember Lot's wife.
33 Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá ń wá àti gba ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ là yóò sọ ọ́ nù; ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá sì sọ ọ́ nù yóò gbà á là.
Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.
34 Mo wí fún yín, ní òru ọjọ́ náà, ènìyàn méjì yóò wà lórí àkéte kan; a ó mú ọ̀kan, a ó sì fi èkejì sílẹ̀.
I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.
35 Ènìyàn méjì yóò sì máa lọ ọlọ pọ̀; a ó mú ọ̀kan, a ó sì fi èkejì sílẹ̀.”
Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other will be left.”
37 Wọ́n sì dá a lóhùn, wọ́n bi í pé, “Níbo, Olúwa?” Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Níbi tí òkú bá gbé wà, níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ni igún ìkójọpọ̀ sí.”
Then the disciples said to him in response, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will be gathered together.”
