< Luke 13 >

1 Àwọn kan sì wá ní àkókò náà tí ó sọ ti àwọn ará Galili fún un, ẹ̀jẹ̀ ẹni tí Pilatu dàpọ̀ mọ́ ẹbọ wọn.
And there were present, at that very time, some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Jesu sì dáhùn ó wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ṣe bí àwọn ará Galili wọ̀nyí ṣe ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ ju gbogbo àwọn ará Galili lọ, nítorí wọ́n jẹ irú ìyà bá-wọ̀n-ọn-nì?
And he answering, said to them: Think you that these Galileans were sinners above all the men of Galilee, because they suffered such things?
3 Mo wí fún yín, bí kò ṣe pé ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú ronúpìwàdà, gbogbo yín ni yóò ṣègbé bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́.
No, I say to you: but unless you shall do penance, you shall all likewise perish.
4 Tàbí àwọn méjìdínlógún, tí ilé ìṣọ́ ní Siloamu wó lù, tí ó sì pa wọ́n, ẹ̀yin ṣe bí wọ́n ṣe ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ ju gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn tí ń bẹ ní Jerusalẹmu lọ?
Or those eighteen upon whom the tower fell in Siloe, and slew them: think you, that they also were debtors above all the men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 Mo wí fún yín, bí kò ṣe pé ẹ̀yin ronúpìwàdà, gbogbo yín ni yóò ṣègbé bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́.”
No, I say to you; but except you do penance, you shall all likewise perish.
6 Ó sì pa òwe yìí fún wọn pé, “Ọkùnrin kan ní igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ kan tí a gbìn sí ọgbà àjàrà rẹ̀; ó sì dé, ó ń wá èso lórí rẹ̀, kò sì rí nǹkan.
He spoke also this parable: A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none.
7 Ó sì wí fún olùṣọ́gbà rẹ̀ pé, ‘Sá à wò ó, láti ọdún mẹ́ta ni èmi ti ń wá í wo èso lórí igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ yìí, èmi kò sì rí nǹkan: ké e lulẹ̀; èéṣe tí ó fi ń gbilẹ̀ lásán pẹ̀lú?’
And he said to the dresser of the vineyard: Behold, for these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it done therefore: why cumbereth it the ground?
8 “Ó sì dáhùn ó wí fún un pé, ‘Olúwa, jọ̀wọ́ rẹ̀ ní ọdún yìí pẹ̀lú, títí èmi ó fi tu ilẹ̀ ìdí rẹ̀ yíká, títí èmi ó sì fi bu ìlẹ̀dú sí i.
But he answering, said to him: Lord, let it alone this year also, until I dig about it, and dung it.
9 Bí ó bá sì so èso, o dara bẹ́ẹ̀: bí kò bá sì so, ǹjẹ́ lẹ́yìn èyí nì kí ìwọ kí ó ké e lulẹ̀.’”
And if happily it bear fruit: but if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
10 Ó sì ń kọ́ni nínú Sinagọgu kan ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi.
And he was teaching in their synagogue on their sabbath.
11 Sì kíyèsi i, obìnrin kan wà níbẹ̀ tí ó ní ẹ̀mí àìlera, láti ọdún méjìdínlógún wá, ẹni tí ó tẹ̀ tán, tí kò le gbé ara rẹ̀ sókè bí ó ti wù kí ó ṣe.
And behold there was a woman, who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years: and she was bowed together, neither could she look upwards at all.
12 Nígbà tí Jesu rí i, ó pè é sí ọ̀dọ̀, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Obìnrin yìí, a tú ọ sílẹ̀ lọ́wọ́ àìlera rẹ.”
Whom when Jesus saw, he called her unto him, and said to her: Woman, thou art delivered from thy infirmity.
13 Ó sì fi ọwọ́ rẹ̀ lé e, Lójúkan náà a sì ti sọ ọ́ di títọ́, ó sì ń yin Ọlọ́run lógo.
And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 Olórí Sinagọgu sì kún fún ìrunú, nítorí tí Jesu mú ni láradá ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi, ó sì wí fún ìjọ ènìyàn pé, ọjọ́ mẹ́fà ní ń bẹ tí a fi í ṣiṣẹ́, nínú wọn ni kí ẹ̀yin kí ó wá kí á ṣe dídá ara yín, kí ó má ṣe ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi.
And the ruler of the synagogue (being angry that Jesus had healed on the sabbath) answering, said to the multitude: Six days there are wherein you ought to work. In them therefore come, and be healed; and not on the sabbath day.
15 Nígbà náà ni Olúwa dáhùn, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Ẹ̀yin àgàbàgebè, olúkúlùkù yín kì í tú màlúù tàbí kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ rẹ̀ kúrò ní ibùso, kì í sì í fà á lọ mu omi ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi.
And the Lord answering him, said: Ye hypocrites, doth not every one of you, on the sabbath day, loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and lead them to water?
16 Kò sì yẹ kí a tú obìnrin yìí tí í ṣe ọmọbìnrin Abrahamu sílẹ̀ ní ìdè yìí ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi, ẹni tí Satani ti dè, sá à wò ó láti ọdún méjìdínlógún yìí wá?”
And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 Nígbà tí ó sì wí nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ojú ti gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀, gbogbo ìjọ ènìyàn sì yọ̀ fún ohun ìyanu gbogbo tí ó ṣe.
And when he said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the things that were gloriously done by him.
18 Ó sì wí pé, “Kín ni ìjọba Ọlọ́run jọ? Kín ni èmi ó sì fiwé?
He said therefore: To what is the kingdom of God like, and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 Ó dàbí hóró musitadi, tí ọkùnrin kan mú, tí ó sì sọ sínú ọgbà rẹ̀; tí ó sì hù, ó sì di igi ńlá; àwọn ẹyẹ ojú ọ̀run sì ń gbé orí ẹ̀ka rẹ̀.”
It is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his garden, and it grew and became a great tree, and the birds of the air lodged in the branches thereof.
20 Ó sì tún wí pé, “Kín ni èmi ìbá fi ìjọba Ọlọ́run wé?
And again he said: Whereunto shall I esteem the kingdom of God to be like?
21 Ó dàbí ìwúkàrà, tí obìnrin kan mú, tí ó fi sínú òsùwọ̀n ìyẹ̀fun mẹ́ta, títí gbogbo rẹ̀ ó fi di wíwú.”
It is like to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 Ó sì ń la àárín ìlú àti ìletò lọ, ó ń kọ́ni, ó sì ń rìn lọ sí Jerusalẹmu.
And he went through the cities and towns teaching, and making his journey to Jerusalem.
23 Ẹnìkan sì bi í pé, Olúwa, díẹ̀ ha kọ ni àwọn tí a ó gbàlà? Ó sì wí fún wọn pé,
And a certain man said to him: Lord, are they few that are saved? But he said to them:
24 “Ẹ làkàkà láti gba ojú ọ̀nà tóóró wọlé, nítorí mo wí fún yín, ènìyàn púpọ̀ ni yóò wá ọ̀nà láti wọ̀ ọ́, wọn kì yóò sì lè wọlé.
Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able.
25 Nígbà tí baálé ilé bá dìde lẹ́ẹ̀kan fùú, tí ó bá sí ti ìlẹ̀kùn, ẹ̀yin ó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í dúró lóde, tí ẹ ó máa kan ìlẹ̀kùn, wí pé, ‘Olúwa, Olúwa, ṣí i fún wa!’ “Òun ó sì dáhùn wí fún yín pé, ‘Èmi kò mọ̀ ibi tí ẹ̀yin ti wá.’ Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kò mọ̀ yín.
But when the master of the house shall be gone in, and shall shut the door, you shall begin to stand without, and knock at the door, saying: Lord, open to us. And he answering, shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are.
26 “Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí wí pé, ‘Àwa ti jẹ, àwa sì ti mu níwájú rẹ, ìwọ sì kọ́ni ní ìgboro ìlú wa.’
Then you shall begin to say: We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 “Òun ó sì wí pé, ‘Èmi wí fún yín èmi kò mọ̀ ibi tí ẹ̀yin ti wá; ẹ lọ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ń ṣiṣẹ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀.’
And he shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 “Níbẹ̀ ni ẹkún àti ìpayínkeke yóò wà, nígbà tí ẹ̀yin ó rí Abrahamu, àti Isaaki, àti Jakọbu, àti gbogbo àwọn wòlíì, ní ìjọba Ọlọ́run, tí a ó sì ti ẹ̀yin sóde.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 Wọn ó sì ti ilẹ̀ ìlà-oòrùn, àti ìwọ̀-oòrùn wá, àti láti àríwá, àti gúúsù wá, wọn ó sì jókòó ní ìjọba Ọlọ́run.
And there shall come from the east and the west, and the north and the south; and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Sì wò ó, àwọn ẹni ẹ̀yìn ń bẹ tí yóò di ẹni iwájú, àwọn ẹni iwájú ń bẹ tí yóò di ẹni ẹ̀yìn.”
And behold, they are last that shall be first; and they are first that shall be last.
31 Ní wákàtí kan náà, díẹ̀ nínú àwọn Farisi tọ̀ ọ́ wá, wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, “Jáde, kí ìwọ sì lọ kúrò níhìn-ín yìí: nítorí Herodu ń fẹ́ pa ọ́.”
The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee.
32 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ lọ, kí ẹ̀yin sì sọ fún kọ̀lọ̀kọ̀lọ̀ náà pé, ‘Kíyèsi i, èmi ń lé àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù jáde, èmi ń ṣe ìmúláradá lónìí àti lọ́la, àti ní ọjọ́ mẹ́ta èmi ó ṣe àṣepé.’
And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I am consummated.
33 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò jẹ́ má rìn lónìí, àti lọ́la, àti ní ọ̀túnla: dájúdájú wòlíì kan ki yóò ṣègbé lẹ́yìn odi Jerusalẹmu.
Nevertheless I must walk today and tomorrow, and the day following, because it cannot be that a prophet perish, out of Jerusalem.
34 “Jerusalẹmu, Jerusalẹmu, ìwọ tí o pa àwọn wòlíì, tí o sì sọ òkúta lu àwọn tí a rán sí ọ pa; nígbà mélòó ni èmi ń fẹ́ ràgà bo àwọn ọmọ rẹ, bí àgbébọ̀ adìyẹ ti í ràgà bo àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ lábẹ́ apá rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin kò fẹ́!
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent to thee, how often would I have gathered thy children as the bird doth her brood under her wings, and thou wouldest not?
35 Sá wò ó, a fi ilé yín sílẹ̀ fún yín ní ahoro. Lóòtítọ́ ni mo sì wí fún yín, ẹ̀yin kì yóò sì rí mi títí yóò fi di àkókò tí ẹ̀yin ó wí pé, ‘Olùbùkún ni ẹni tí ó ń bọ̀ wá ní orúkọ Olúwa.’”
Behold your house shall be left to you desolate. And I say to you, that you shall not see me till the time come, when you shall say: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
