< Judges 4 >

1 Lẹ́yìn ikú Ehudu, àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli sì tún ṣẹ̀, wọ́n ṣe ohun tí ó burú ní ojú Olúwa.
And the children of Israel again did the evil in the eyes of the Lord, when Ehud was dead.
2 Nítorí náà Olúwa jẹ́ kí Jabini, ọba àwọn Kenaani, ẹni tí ó jẹ ọba ní Hasori, ṣẹ́gun wọn. Orúkọ olórí ogun rẹ̀ ni Sisera ẹni tí ń gbé Haroseti-Hagoyimu.
And the Lord sold them into the hand of Yabin the king of Canaan, that reigned in Chazor; and the captain of his army was Sissera, who dwelt in Charosheth-hagoyim.
3 Nítorí tí ó ní ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun irin, ó sì ń pọ́n Israẹli lójú gidigidi fún ogún ọdún, Israẹli ké pe Olúwa fún ìrànlọ́wọ́.
And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord; for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and he oppressed the children of Israel with might twenty years.
4 Debora, wòlíì obìnrin, aya Lapidoti ni olórí àti aṣíwájú àwọn ará Israẹli ní àsìkò náà.
And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, —she judged Israel at that time.
5 Òun a máa jókòó ṣe ìdájọ́ ní abẹ́ igi ọ̀pẹ tí a sọ orúkọ rẹ̀ ní ọ̀pẹ Debora láàrín Rama àti Beteli ní ilẹ̀ òkè Efraimu, àwọn ará Israẹli a sì máa wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ láti yanjú èdè-àìyedè tí wọ́n bá ní sí ara wọn, tàbí láti gbọ́ ohùn Olúwa láti ẹnu rẹ̀.
And she held her sitting under the palm-tree of Deborah between Ramah and Beth-el on the mountain of Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
6 Ní ọjọ́ kan, ó ránṣẹ́ pe Baraki ọmọ Abinoamu, ẹni tí ń gbé ní Kedeṣi ní ilẹ̀ Naftali, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli pa á ní àṣẹ fún un pé, ‘Kí ó kó ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá àwọn akọni ọkùnrin jọ láti ẹ̀yà Naftali àti ẹ̀yà Sebuluni bí ẹgbẹ́ ogun, kí o sì síwájú wọn lọ sí òkè Tabori.
And she sent and called Barak the son of Abino'am out of Kedesh-naphtali; and she said unto him, Behold, the Lord the God of Israel hath commanded, Go and lead on toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun.
7 Èmi yóò sì fa Sisera olórí ogun Jabini, pẹ̀lú kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun rẹ àti àwọn ogun rẹ, sí odò Kiṣoni èmi yóò sì fi lé ọ lọ́wọ́ ìwọ yóò sì ṣẹ́gun wọn níbẹ̀.’”
And I will draw unto thee, to the brook Kishon, Sissera, the captain of Yabin's army, and his chariots and his multitude; and I will give him up into thy hand.
8 Baraki sì dá a lóhùn pé, “Èmi yóò lọ tí ìwọ ó bá bá mi lọ, ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwọ kì yóò bá bá mi lọ, èmi kì yóò lọ.”
And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then will I go; but if thou wilt not go with me, I will not go.
9 Debora dá a lóhùn pé, “ó dára, èmi yóò bá ọ lọ. Ṣùgbọ́n ọlá ìṣẹ́gun tí o ń lọ yìí kò ní jẹ́ tìrẹ, nítorí Olúwa yóò fi Sisera lé obìnrin lọ́wọ́,” báyìí Debora bá Baraki lọ sí Kedeṣi.
And she said, I will indeed go with thee; nevertheless it will not be for thy honor, on the way which thou goest; for into the hand of a woman will the Lord deliver Sissera; and Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
10 Nígbà tí Baraki pe ẹ̀yà Sebuluni àti ẹ̀yà Naftali sí Kedeṣi ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá akíkanjú ọkùnrin ogun tẹ̀lé e, Debora pẹ̀lú bá wọn lọ.
And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up in his train ten thousand men; also Deborah went up with him.
11 Ǹjẹ́ Heberi ọmọ Keni, ti ya ara rẹ́ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ àwọn ọmọ Keni, àní àwọn ọmọ Hobabu, àna Mose, ó sì pa àgọ́ rẹ̀ títí dé ibi igi óákù Saananimu, tí ó wà ni agbègbè Kedeṣi.
Now Cheber the Kenite had severed himself from the Kenites, from the children of Chobab the father-in-law of Moses; and he had pitched his tent as far as Elon-beza'anannim, which is near Kedesh.
12 Nígbà tí a sọ fún Sisera pé Baraki ọmọ Abinoamu ti kó ogun jọ sí òkè Tabori,
And they told Sissera that Barak the son of Abino'am was gone up to mount Tabor.
13 Sisera kó gbogbo kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun irin rẹ̀ tí ṣe ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, láti Haroseti tí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè wá sí odò Kiṣoni.
And Sissera called together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Charosheth-hagoyim unto the brook Kishon.
14 Debora sì wí fún Baraki pé, “Lọ! Lónìí ni Olúwa fi Sisera lé ọ lọ́wọ́, Olúwa ti lọ síwájú rẹ.” Baraki sì síwájú, àwọn ọmọ-ogun rẹ̀ ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá sì tẹ̀lé e lẹ́yìn, wọ́n sì kọjá sí òkè Tabori.
And Deborah said unto Barak, Up! for this is the day on which the Lord hath given Sissera into thy hand; behold, the Lord is gone out before thee: so Barak went down from mount Tabor, with ten thousand men after him.
15 Olúwa sì mú ìdàrúdàpọ̀ wá sí àárín ogun Sisera, Olúwa sì fi ojú idà ṣẹ́gun Sisera àti àwọn oníkẹ̀kẹ́ ogun àti ọmọ-ogun orí ilẹ̀ ní iwájú Baraki. Sisera sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ lórí kẹ̀kẹ́-ẹṣin rẹ̀ ó sì fi ẹsẹ̀ sálọ.
And the Lord confounded Sissera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sissera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on foot.
16 Baraki àti àwọn ogun rẹ̀ sì lé àwọn ọ̀tá náà, àwọn ọmọ-ogun orílẹ̀ àti àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun wọn títí dé Haroseti ti àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, gbogbo ogun Sisera sì ti ojú idà ṣubú, kò sí ọ̀kan tí ó lè sálà tàbí tí ó wà láààyè.
And Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, unto Charosheth-hagoyim: and all the army of Sissera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not left even one.
17 Ṣùgbọ́n Sisera ti fi ẹsẹ̀ sálọ sí àgọ́ Jaeli aya Heberi ẹ̀yà Keni: nítorí ìbá dá ọ̀rẹ́ àlàáfíà wà láàrín Jabini ọba Hasori àti ìdílé Heberi ti ẹ̀yà Keni.
But Sissera had fled away on foot to the tent of Ja'el the wife of Cheber the Kenite; for there was peace between Yabin the king of Chazor and the house of Cheber the Kenite.
18 Jaeli sì jáde síta láti pàdé Sisera, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Wọlé sínú àgọ́ mi, Olúwa mi, wọlé wá má ṣe bẹ̀rù nítorí pé ààbò ń bẹ fún ọ.” Ó sì yà sínú àgọ́ rẹ̀, ó sì fi aṣọ bò ó.
And Ja'el went out to meet Sissera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in unto me, fear not: and he turned in unto her into the tent, and she covered him with a blanket.
19 Sisera wí pé, “Òrùngbẹ ń gbẹ́ mí, jọ̀wọ́ fún mi ní omi mu.” Ó sì ṣí awọ wàrà kan, ó sì fún un mu ó sì tún daṣọ bò ó padà.
And he said unto her, Give me to drink, I pray thee, a little water; for I am thirsty: and she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him to drink, and covered him up.
20 Sisera sọ fún Jaeli pé, “Kí ó dúró ní ẹnu-ọ̀nà àgọ́, àti pé bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá béèrè bóyá òun wà níbẹ̀ kí ó sọ pé, ‘Kò sí ẹnìkankan ní ibẹ̀.’”
And he said unto her, Stand at the door of the tent; and it shall be, that, when any man should come and ask of thee, and say, Is there any man here? thou shalt say, No.
21 Ṣùgbọ́n Jaeli ìyàwó Heberi mú ìṣó àgọ́ tí ó mú àti òòlù ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀, ó sì yọ́ wọ inú ibi tí ó sùn, nígbà tí ó ti sùn fọnfọn, nígbà náà ni ó kan ìṣó náà mọ́ òkè ìpéǹpéjú rẹ̀, ó sì wọlé ṣinṣin, ó sì kú.
And Ja'el the wife of Cheber took thereupon the nail of the tent, and placed a hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and struck the nail into his temple, and it became fastened in the ground; but he was fast asleep and weary; so he died.
22 Nígbà tí Baraki dé bí ó ti ń lépa Sisera, Jaeli láti pàdé rẹ̀, wá, èmi yóò fi ẹni tí ìwọ ń wá hàn ọ́, báyìí ni ó tẹ̀lé e wọ inú àgọ́ lọ, kíyèsi Sisera dùbúlẹ̀ síbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìṣó àgọ́ ní agbárí rẹ̀ tí a ti kàn mọ́lẹ̀ ṣinṣin tí ó sì ti kú.
And, behold, Barak came in pursuit of Sissera, and Ja'el came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou art seeking: and he came to her, and behold, Sissera was lying dead, with the nail in his temple.
23 Ní ọjọ́ náà ni Ọlọ́run ṣẹ́gun Jabini ọba àwọn ará Kenaani ní iwájú àwọn ẹ̀yà Israẹli.
So did God humble on that day Yabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
24 Ọwọ́ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sì le, ó sì ń lágbára síwájú àti síwájú sí i lára Jabini ọba Kenaani, títí wọ́n fi run òun àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.
And the hand of the children of Israel became constantly heavier upon Yabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Yabin the king of Canaan.
