< Judges 10 >

1 Lẹ́yìn ikú Abimeleki, ọkùnrin kan láti ẹ̀yà Isakari tí orúkọ rẹ̀ ń jẹ́ Tola ọmọ Pua, ọmọ Dodo, dìde láti gba Israẹli sílẹ̀. Ní Ṣamiri tí ó wà ní òkè Efraimu ni ó gbé.
After Abimelech there arose to save Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he lived in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.
2 Ó ṣe àkóso Israẹli ní ọdún mẹ́tàlélógún. Nígbà tí ó kú wọ́n sìn ín sí Ṣamiri.
He judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 Jairi ti ẹ̀yà Gileadi ni ó dìde lẹ́yìn rẹ̀, ó ṣàkóso Israẹli ní ọdún méjìlélógún.
After him arose Jair, the Gileadite; and he judged Israel twenty-two years.
4 Àwọn ọgbọ̀n ọmọ tí ó n gun ọgbọ̀n kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́. Wọ́n ṣe àkóso ọgbọ̀n ìlú ní Gileadi, tí a pe orúkọ wọn ní Hafoti-Jairi títí di òní.
He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys, and they had thirty towns, which are called Havvoth Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 Nígbà tí Jairi kú wọ́n sin ín sí Kamoni.
Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.
6 Àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sì túnṣe ohun tí ó burú lójú Olúwa. Wọ́n sin Baali àti Aṣtoreti àti àwọn òrìṣà Aramu, òrìṣà Sidoni, òrìṣà Moabu, òrìṣà àwọn ará Ammoni àti òrìṣà àwọn ará Filistini. Nítorí àwọn ará Israẹli kọ Olúwa sílẹ̀ tí wọn kò sì sìn ín mọ́,
The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baals, and the Ashtaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the people of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook Jehovah, and did not serve him.
7 ó bínú sí wọn, ó fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ fún àwọn ará Filistini àti Ammoni láti jẹ ẹ́ ní ìyà.
The anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the people of Ammon.
8 Ní ọdún náà, wọ́n tú wọn ká wọ́n sì pọ́n wọn lójú. Fún ọdún méjìdínlógún ni wọ́n fi ni gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tí ó wà ní ìlà-oòrùn odò Jordani ní ilẹ̀ àwọn ará Amori lára (èyí nì ní Gileadi).
And they shattered and oppressed the children of Israel that year. Eighteen years they oppressed all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Àwọn ará Ammoni sì la odò Jordani kọjá láti bá Juda, Benjamini àti àwọn ará ilé Efraimu jagun: Israẹli sì dojúkọ ìpọ́njú tó lágbára.
The people of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was very distressed.
10 Nígbà tí èyí ti ṣẹlẹ̀ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ké pe Olúwa wí pé, “Àwa ti ṣẹ̀ sí ọ, nítorí pé àwa ti kọ Ọlọ́run wa sílẹ̀, àwa sì ń sin Baali.”
The children of Israel cried to Jehovah, saying, "We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals."
11 Olúwa sì dáhùn pé, “Ǹjẹ́ nígbà tí àwọn ará Ejibiti, Amori, Ammoni, Filistini,
Jehovah said to the children of Israel, "Did I not save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the people of Ammon, and from the Philistines?

Also the Sidonians, and Amalek, and Midian oppressed you; and you cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.

Yet you have forsaken me, and served other gods. Therefore I will save you no more.

Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress."
15 Àwọn ọmọ Israẹli sì dá Olúwa lóhùn pé, “Àwa ti ṣẹ̀, ṣe ohun tí ó bá fẹ́ pẹ̀lú wa, ṣùgbọ́n, jọ̀wọ́ gbà wá sílẹ̀ náání àsìkò yìí.”
The children of Israel said to Jehovah, "We have sinned. Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, this day."
16 Nígbà náà ni wọ́n kó gbogbo ọlọ́run àjèjì tí ó wà láàrín wọn kúrò wọ́n sì sin Olúwa nìkan, ọkàn rẹ̀ kò sì le gbàgbé ìrora Israẹli mọ́.
They put away the foreign gods from among them, and served Jehovah; and his soul was grieved with the misery of Israel.
17 Nígbà tí àwọn ará Ammoni kógun jọ ní Gileadi láti bá Israẹli jà, àwọn ọmọ Israẹli gbárajọpọ̀, wọ́n sì tẹ̀dó ogun ní Mispa.
Then the people of Ammon were gathered together, and camped in Gilead. The children of Israel assembled themselves together, and camped at Mizpah.
18 Àwọn ìjòyè: aṣíwájú àwọn ará Gileadi wí fún ará wọn pé, “Ẹnikẹ́ni tí yóò kọ́ ṣígun si àwọn ará Ammoni ni yóò jẹ́ orí fún gbogbo àwọn tí ń gbé ní Gileadi.”
And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to each other, "What man is he who will begin to fight against the people of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead."
