Joshua 23
1 Lẹ́yìn ọjọ́ pípẹ́, nígbà tí Olúwa sì ti fún Israẹli ní ìsinmi kúrò ní ọwọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá wọn tí ó yí wọn ká, nígbà náà Joṣua sì ti di arúgbó.
Forsothe whanne myche tyme was passid after that the Lord had youe pees to Israel, for alle naciouns `in cumpas weren suget; and whanne Josue was thanne of long lijf, and `of ful eld age, Josue clepide al Israel,
2 Ó sì pe gbogbo Israẹli jọ: àgbàgbà wọn, olórí wọn, adájọ́ àti àwọn ìjòyè, ó sì sọ fún wọn pé, “Èmi ti pọ̀ ní ọdún èmi ti di arúgbó.
and the grettere men in birthe, and the princes, and dukis, and maistris, and seide to hem, Y `wexide elde, and Y am of grettere age;
3 Ẹ̀yin tìkára yín sì ti rí ohun gbogbo tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ti ṣe sí gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè wọ̀nyí nítorí yín, Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ni ó jà fún yín.
and ye seen alle thingis whiche youre Lord God hath do to alle naciouns `bi cumpas, hou he fauyt for you.
4 Ẹ rántí bí mo ṣe pín ogún ìní fún àwọn ẹ̀yà yín ní ilẹ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè gbogbo tí ó kù; àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí mo ti ṣẹ́gun ní àárín Jordani àti Òkun Ńlá ní ìwọ̀-oòrùn.
And now for he departide to you bi lot al the lond, fro the eest part of Jordan `til to the grete see, and many naciouns ben left yit,
5 Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín fúnra rẹ̀ yóò lé wọn jáde kúrò ní ọ̀nà yín, yóò sì tì wọ́n jáde ní iwájú yín, ẹ̀yin yóò sì gba ilẹ̀ ìní wọn, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa Ọlọ́run ti ṣe ìlérí fún yín.
youre Lord God `schal distrie hem, and schal take awei fro youre face; and ye schulen welde the lond, as he bihiyte to you.
6 “Ẹ jẹ́ alágbára gidigidi, kí ẹ sì ṣọ́ra láti ṣe ìgbọ́ràn sí ohun tí a kọ sí inú ìwé òfin Mose, láìyí padà sí ọ̀tún tàbí sí òsì.
Oneli be ye coumfortid, and be ye bisy, that ye kepe alle thingis that ben writun in the book of Moises lawe, and bowe not awei fro tho, nether to the riyt side nether to the left side,
7 Ẹ má ṣe ní àjọṣepọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó ṣẹ́kù láàrín yín; ẹ má ṣe pe orúkọ òrìṣà wọn tàbí kí ẹ fi wọ́n búra. Ẹ kò gbọdọ̀ sìn wọ́n tàbí ki ẹ tẹríba fún wọn.
lest aftir that ye han entrid to the hethene men, that schulen be among you, ye swere in the name of `the goddis of hem, and ye serue tho goddis, and worschipe hem.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ di Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín mú ṣinṣin gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ ti ń ṣe tẹ́lẹ̀ títí di àkókò yìí.
But cleue ye to youre Lord God, which thing ye han do `til in to this dai;
9 “Olúwa ti lé àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè ńlá àti alágbára kúrò níwájú yín; títí di òní yìí kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó le dojúkọ yín.
and thanne the Lord God schal do awei in youre siyt grete folkis, and strongeste; and noon schal mow ayenstonde you.
10 Ọ̀kan nínú yín lé ẹgbẹ̀rún ọ̀tá, nítorí tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín jà fún yín gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣe ìlérí.
Oon of you schal pursue a thousynde men of enemyes, for youre Lord God schal fiyte for you, as he bihiyte.
11 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ẹ ṣọ́ra gidigidi láti fẹ́ràn Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín.
Be ye war bifore moost diligentli of this thing oneli, that ye loue youre Lord God.
12 “Ṣùgbọ́n bí ẹ bá yí padà, tí ẹ sì gba ìmọ̀ pọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn tó ṣẹ́kù lára àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó kù láàrín yín, tí ẹ sì ń fọmọ fún ara yín ní ìyàwó, tí ẹ sì bá wọn ní àjọṣepọ̀.
That if ye wolen cleue to the errouris of these folkis that dwellen among you, and wolen medle mariagis with hem, and couple frenschipis,
13 Nígbà náà ni ẹ ó mọ̀ dájú pé Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín kì yóò lé àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè wọ̀nyí jáde mọ́ kúrò níwájú yín. Dípò èyí, wọn yóò jẹ́ ìkẹ́kùn àti tàkúté fún un yín, pàṣán ní ẹ̀yin yín àti ẹ̀gún ní ojú yín, títí ẹ ó fi ṣègbé kúrò ní ilẹ̀ dáradára yí, èyí tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ti fi fún yín.
wite ye riyt now, that `youre Lord God schal not do awei hem bifor youre face, but thei schulen be to you in to a dich, and a snare, and in to hirtyng of youre side, and in to stakis in youre iyen, til youre Lord God take awei you, and distrie fro this beste loond, which he yaf to you.
14 “Nísinsin yìí èmi ti fẹ́ máa lọ sí ibi tí àwọn àgbà ń rè. Ẹ mọ̀ pẹ̀lú gbogbo ọkàn yín àti àyà yín pé, kò sí ohun kan tí ó kùnà nínú àwọn ìlérí rere gbogbo tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín fi fún un yín. Gbogbo ìlérí tó ti ṣe kò sí ọ̀kan tí ó kùnà.
Lo! Y entre to dai in to the weye of al erthe; and ye schulen knowe `with al soule, that of al wordis whiche the Lord bihiyte hym silf to yyue to you, not oon passide in veyn.
15 Ṣùgbọ́n gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìlérí dáradára gbogbo ti Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ti wá sí ìmúṣẹ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa yóò mú ibi gbogbo tí ó ti kìlọ̀ wá sí orí yín, títí yóò fi pa yín run kúrò ní ilẹ̀ dáradára tí ó ti fi fún un yín.
Therfor as he fillide in werk that, that he bihiyte, and alle thingis bifelden `bi prosperite, so he schal brynge on you whateuer thing of yuelis he manaasside, til he take awei you, and distrie fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
16 Bí ẹ bá sẹ̀ sí májẹ̀mú Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín, èyí tí ó pàṣẹ fún un yín, tí ẹ bá sì lọ tí ẹ sì sin àwọn òrìṣà tí ẹ sì tẹ orí ba fún wọn, ìbínú gbígbóná Olúwa yóò wá sórí i yín, ẹ̀yin yóò sì ṣègbé kíákíá kúrò ní ilẹ̀ dáradára tí ó ti fi fún un yín.”
For ye braken the couenaunt of `youre Lord God, which he made with you, and serueden alien goddis, and worschipeden hem, sone and swiftli the strong veniaunce of the Lord schal rise `on to you; and ye schulen be takun awei fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
