< Joshua 18 >

Then the whole assembly of the people of Israel met together at Shiloh. They set up the tent of meeting there and they conquered the land before them.
2 ṣùgbọ́n ó ku ẹ̀yà méje nínú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tí kò tí ì gba ogún ìní wọn.
There were still seven tribes among the people of Israel whose inheritance had not been assigned.
3 Báyìí ni Joṣua sọ fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli, “Báwo ni ẹ̀yin yóò ṣe dúró pẹ́ tó, kí ẹ tó gba ilẹ̀ ìní tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run àwọn baba yín ti fi fún yín?
Joshua said to the people of Israel, “How long will you put off going into the land that Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, has given you?
4 Ẹ yan àwọn ọkùnrin mẹ́ta nínú ẹ̀yà kọ̀ọ̀kan. Èmi yóò rán wọn jáde láti lọ bojú wo ilẹ̀ náà káàkiri, wọn yóò sì ṣe àpèjúwe rẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìní ẹni kọ̀ọ̀kan. Nígbà náà ni wọn yóò padà tọ̀ mí wá.
Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe, and I will send them out. They will set out and survey the land up and down. They will write out a description of it with a view to their inheritances, and then they will come back to me.
5 Ẹ̀yin yóò sì pín ilẹ̀ náà sí ọ̀nà méje kí Juda dúró sí ilẹ̀ rẹ̀ ni ìhà gúúsù àti ilé Josẹfu ní ilẹ̀ rẹ̀ ní ìhà àríwá.
They will divide it into seven sections. Judah will remain in their territory on the south, and the house of Joseph will continue in their territory in the north.
6 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ẹ bá kọ àpèjúwe ọ̀nà méjèèje ilẹ̀ náà, ẹ mú wọn wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi ní ibí, èmi ó sì ṣẹ́ kèké fún yín ní iwájú Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa.

7 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ Lefi kò ní ìpín ní àárín yín, nítorí iṣẹ́ àlùfáà. Olúwa ni ìní wọ́n. Gadi, Reubeni àti ìdajì ẹ̀yà Manase, ti gba ìní wọn ní ìhà ìlà-oòrùn Jordani. Mose ìránṣẹ́ Olúwa ti fi fún wọn.”
The Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance, beyond Jordan. This is the inheritance that Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them.”
8 Bí àwọn ọkùnrin náà ti bẹ̀rẹ̀ ìrìnàjò wọn láti fojú díwọ̀n ilẹ̀ náà, Joṣua pàṣẹ fún wọn pé, “Ẹ lọ kí ẹ sì fojú díwọ̀n ilẹ̀ náà káàkiri, kí ẹ sì kọ àpèjúwe rẹ̀. Lẹ́yìn náà kí ẹ padà tọ̀ mí wá, kí èmi kí ò lè ṣẹ́ kèké fún yin ní ibí ní Ṣilo ní iwájú Olúwa.”
So the men got up and went. Joshua commanded those who went to write the description of the land, saying, “Go up and down in the land and write a description of it and return to me. I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh at Shiloh.”
9 Báyìí ni àwọn ọkùnrin náà lọ, wọ́n sì la ilẹ̀ náà já. Wọ́n sì kọ àpèjúwe rẹ̀ sí orí ìwé kíká ní ìlú, ní ọ̀nà méje, wọ́n sì padà tọ Joṣua lọ ní ibùdó ní Ṣilo.
The men left and walked up and down in the land and wrote a description of it in a scroll by its cities in seven sections, listing the cities in each section. Then they returned to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh.
