< Joshua 18 >

1 Gbogbo ìjọ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli péjọ ní Ṣilo, wọ́n si kọ́ àgọ́ ìpàdé ní ibẹ̀. Gbogbo ilẹ̀ náà sì wà ní abẹ́ àkóso wọn,
And all the children of Israel assembled together in Silo, and there they set up the tabernacle of the testimony, and the land was subdued before them.
2 ṣùgbọ́n ó ku ẹ̀yà méje nínú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli tí kò tí ì gba ogún ìní wọn.
But there remained seven tribes of the children of Israel, which as yet had not received their possessions.
3 Báyìí ni Joṣua sọ fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli, “Báwo ni ẹ̀yin yóò ṣe dúró pẹ́ tó, kí ẹ tó gba ilẹ̀ ìní tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run àwọn baba yín ti fi fún yín?
And Josue said to them: How long are you indolent and slack, and go not in to possess the land which the Lord the God of your fathers hath given you?
4 Ẹ yan àwọn ọkùnrin mẹ́ta nínú ẹ̀yà kọ̀ọ̀kan. Èmi yóò rán wọn jáde láti lọ bojú wo ilẹ̀ náà káàkiri, wọn yóò sì ṣe àpèjúwe rẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìní ẹni kọ̀ọ̀kan. Nígbà náà ni wọn yóò padà tọ̀ mí wá.
Choose of every tribe three men, that I may send them, and they may go and compass the land, and mark it out according to the number of each multitude: and bring back to me what they have marked out.
5 Ẹ̀yin yóò sì pín ilẹ̀ náà sí ọ̀nà méje kí Juda dúró sí ilẹ̀ rẹ̀ ni ìhà gúúsù àti ilé Josẹfu ní ilẹ̀ rẹ̀ ní ìhà àríwá.
Divide to yourselves the land into seven parts: let Juda be in his bounds on the south side, and the house of Joseph on the north.
6 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ẹ bá kọ àpèjúwe ọ̀nà méjèèje ilẹ̀ náà, ẹ mú wọn wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi ní ibí, èmi ó sì ṣẹ́ kèké fún yín ní iwájú Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa.
The land in the midst between these mark ye out into seven parts; and you shall come hither to me, that I may cast lots for you before the Lord your God.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ Lefi kò ní ìpín ní àárín yín, nítorí iṣẹ́ àlùfáà. Olúwa ni ìní wọ́n. Gadi, Reubeni àti ìdajì ẹ̀yà Manase, ti gba ìní wọn ní ìhà ìlà-oòrùn Jordani. Mose ìránṣẹ́ Olúwa ti fi fún wọn.”
For the Levites have no part among you, but the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance. And Gad and Ruben, and the half tribe of Manasses have already received their possessions beyond the Jordan eastward: which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them.
8 Bí àwọn ọkùnrin náà ti bẹ̀rẹ̀ ìrìnàjò wọn láti fojú díwọ̀n ilẹ̀ náà, Joṣua pàṣẹ fún wọn pé, “Ẹ lọ kí ẹ sì fojú díwọ̀n ilẹ̀ náà káàkiri, kí ẹ sì kọ àpèjúwe rẹ̀. Lẹ́yìn náà kí ẹ padà tọ̀ mí wá, kí èmi kí ò lè ṣẹ́ kèké fún yin ní ibí ní Ṣilo ní iwájú Olúwa.”
And when the men were risen up, to go to mark out the land, Josue commanded them, saying: Go round the land and mark it out, and return to me: that I may cast lots for you before the Lord in Silo.
9 Báyìí ni àwọn ọkùnrin náà lọ, wọ́n sì la ilẹ̀ náà já. Wọ́n sì kọ àpèjúwe rẹ̀ sí orí ìwé kíká ní ìlú, ní ọ̀nà méje, wọ́n sì padà tọ Joṣua lọ ní ibùdó ní Ṣilo.
So they went: and surveying it divided it into seven parts, writing them down in a book. And they returned to Josue, to the camp in Silo.
10 Joṣua sì ṣẹ́ gègé fún wọn ní Ṣilo ní iwájú Olúwa, Joṣua sì pín ilẹ̀ náà fún àwọn Israẹli gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìpín ẹ̀yà wọn ní ibẹ̀.
And he cast lots before the Lord in Silo, and divided the land to the children of Israel into seven parts.
11 Ìbò náà sì wá sórí ẹ̀yà Benjamini, ní agbo ilé, agbo ilé. Ilẹ̀ ìpín wọn sì wà láàrín ti ẹ̀yà Juda àti Josẹfu.
And first came up the lot of the children of Benjamin by their families, to possess the land between the children of Juda, and the children of Joseph.
12 Ní ìhà àríwá ààlà wọn bẹ̀rẹ̀ ní Jordani, ó kọjá lọ sí gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ Jeriko ní ìhà àríwá, ó sì forí lé ìwọ̀-oòrùn sí ìlú òkè, jáde sí aginjù Beti-Afeni.
And their border northward was from the Jordan: going along by the side of Jericho on the north side, and thence going up westward to the mountains, and reaching to the wilderness of Bethaven,
13 Láti ibẹ̀ ààlà náà tún kọjá lọ sí ìhà gúúsù ní ọ̀nà Lusi (tí í ṣe Beteli) ó sì dé Atarotu-Addari, ní orí òkè tí ó wà ní gúúsù Beti-Horoni.
And passing along southward by Luza, the same is Bethel: and it goeth down into Ataroth-addar to the mountain, that is on the south of the nether Beth-horon.
14 Láti òkè tí ó kọjú sí Beti-Horoni ní gúúsù ààlà náà yà sí gúúsù ní ìhà ìwọ̀-oòrùn, ó sì jáde sí Kiriati-Baali (tí í ṣe Kiriati-Jearimu), ìlú àwọn ènìyàn Juda. Èyí ni ìhà ìwọ̀-oòrùn.
And it bendeth thence going round towards the sea, south of the mountain that looketh towards Beth-horon to the southwest: and the outgoings thereof are into Cariathbaal, which is called also Cariathiarim, a city of the children of Juda. This is their coast towards the sea, westward.
15 Ìhà gúúsù bẹ̀rẹ̀ ní ìpẹ̀kun Kiriati-Jearimu ní ìwọ̀-oòrùn, ààlà náà wà ní ibi ìsun omi Nefitoa.
But on the south side the border goeth out from part of Cariathiarim towards the sea, and cometh to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoa.
16 Ààlà náà lọ sí ìsàlẹ̀ ẹsẹ̀ òkè tí ó kọjú sí àfonífojì Beni-Hinnomu, àríwá àfonífojì Refaimu. O sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sí àfonífojì Hinnomu sí apá gúúsù gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ òkè ìlú Jebusi, ó sì lọ bẹ́ẹ̀ títí dé En-Rogeli.
And it goeth down to that part of the mountain that looketh on the valley of the children of Ennom: and is over against the north quarter in the furthermost part of the valley of Raphaim, and it goeth down into Geennom (that is the valley of Ennom) by the side of the Jebusite to the south: and cometh to the fountain of Rogel,
17 Nígbà náà ni ó yípo sí ìhà àríwá, ó sì lọ sí Ẹni-Ṣemeṣi, ó tẹ̀síwájú dé Geliloti tí ó kọjú sí òkè Adummimu, ó sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ sí ibi Òkúta Bohani ọmọ Reubeni.
Passing thence to the north, and going out to Ensemes, that is to say, the fountain of the sue:
18 Ó tẹ̀síwájú títí dé gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ òkè Beti-Araba, ó sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sí aginjù.
And it passeth along to the hills that are over against the ascent of Adommim: and it goeth down to Abenboen, that is, the stone of Been the son of Ruben: and it passeth on the north side to the champaign countries; and goeth down into the plain,
19 Nígbà náà ni ó lọ sí gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ òkè Beti-Hogla, ó sì jáde ní àríwá etí bèbè Òkun Iyọ̀, ní ẹnu odò Jordani ní gúúsù. Èyí ni ààlà ti gúúsù.
And it passeth by Bethhagla northward: and the outgoings thereof are towards the north of the most salt sea at the south end of the Jordan:
20 Odò Jordani sí jẹ́ ààlà ní ìhà ìlà-oòrùn. Ìwọ̀nyí ní àwọn ààlà ti ó sàmì sí ìní àwọn ìdílé Benjamini ní gbogbo àwọn àyíká wọn.
Which is the border of it on the east side. This is the possession of the children of Benjamin by their borders round about, and their families.
21 Ẹ̀yà Benjamini ní agbo ilé, agbo ilé ni àwọn ìlú wọ̀nyí: Jeriko, Beti-Hogla, Emeki-Keṣiṣi,
And their cities were, Jericho and Bethhagla and Vale-Casis,

And Avim and Aphara and Ophera,

And Sela, Eleph and Jebus, which is Jerusalem, Gabaath and Cariath: fourteen cities, and their villages. This is the possession of the children of Benjamin by their families.
