< Joshua 15 >

1 Ìpín fún ẹ̀yà Juda, ní agbo ilé agbo ilé, títí dé agbègbè Edomu, títí dé aginjù Sini ní òpin ìhà gúúsù.
The lot for the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, toward the Negev in the far south.
2 Ààlà wọn ní ìhà gúúsù bẹ̀rẹ̀ láti etí òpin ìhà gúúsù Òkun Iyọ̀,
Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;
3 ó sì gba gúúsù Akrabbimu lọ, títí dé Sini àti sí iwájú ìhà gúúsù Kadeṣi-Barnea. Nígbà náà ó sì tún kọjá Hesroni lọ sí Adari, ó sì tún yípo yíká lọ sí Karka.
and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;
4 Ó tún kọjá lọ sí Asmoni, ó sì papọ̀ mọ́ Wadi ti Ejibiti, ó parí sí Òkun. Èyí ni ààlà wọn ní ìhà gúúsù.
and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the Wadi of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This was their southern border.
5 Ààlà wọn ní ìhà ìlà-oòrùn ní Òkun Iyọ̀ títí dé ẹnu Jordani. Ààlà àríwá bẹ̀rẹ̀ láti etí òkun ní ẹnu Jordani,
The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
6 ààlà náà sì tún dé Beti-Hogla, ó sì lọ sí ìhà àríwá Beti-Araba. Ààlà náà sì tún dé ibi Òkúta Bohani ti ọmọ Reubeni.
The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
7 Ààlà náà gòkè lọ títí dé Debiri láti àfonífojì Akori, ó sì yípadà sí àríwá Gilgali, èyí tí ń bẹ ní iwájú òkè Adummimu, tí ń bẹ ní ìhà gúúsù odò náà. Ó sì tẹ̀síwájú sí apá omi En-Ṣemeṣi, ó sì jáde sí En-Rogeli.
The border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.
8 Ààlà náà sì tún gòkè lọ sí àfonífojì Beni-Hinnomu ní ìhà gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ gúúsù ti Jebusi (tí í ṣe Jerusalẹmu). Ó sì gòkè lọ sí orí òkè tí ó wà lórí àfonífojì Hinnomu tí ń bẹ ní ìpẹ̀kun àfonífojì Refaimu ní ìhà àríwá.
The border went up by the Valley of Ben Hinnom to the slope of the Jebusites southward (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the Valley of Rephaim northward.
9 Ààlà náà sì lọ láti orí òkè lọ sí ìsun omi Nefitoa, ó sì jáde sí ìlú òkè Efroni, ó sì lọ sí apá ìsàlẹ̀ Baalahi (tí í ṣe, Kiriati-Jearimu).
The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (that is, Kiriath Jearim);
10 Ààlà tí ó yípo láti Baalahi lọ sí ìhà ìwọ̀-oòrùn sí òkè Seiri, ó sì lọ sí gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ àríwá òkè Jearimu (tí í ṣe, Kesaloni), ó sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sí Beti-Ṣemeṣi, ó sì kọjá lọ sí Timna.
and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Kesalon), and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;
11 Ààlà náà sì lọ sí gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ àríwá òkè Ekroni, ó sì yípadà lọ sí Ṣikkeroni, ó sì yípadà lọ sí òkè Baalahi, ó sì dé Jabneeli, ààlà náà sì parí sí Òkun.
and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12 Ààlà ìwọ̀-oòrùn sì jẹ́ agbègbè Òkun Ńlá. Ìwọ̀nyí ni ààlà àyíká ènìyàn Juda ní agbo ilé wọn.
The west border was to the shore of the Great Sea. This is the border of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
13 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àṣẹ tí Olúwa pa fún Joṣua, ó fi ìpín fún Kalebu ọmọ Jefunne, ìpín ní Juda—Kiriati-Arba, tí í ṣe Hebroni. (Arba sì ní baba ńlá Anaki.)
To Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the descendants of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).
14 Kalebu sì lé àwọn ọmọ Anaki mẹ́ta jáde láti Hebroni; Ṣeṣai, Ahimani, àti Talmai, ìran Anaki.
Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 Ó sì wọ́de ogun láti ibẹ̀ lọ bá àwọn ènìyàn tí ń gbé ní Debiri (tí à ń pè ní Kiriati-Seferi nígbà kan rí).
He went up against the inhabitants of Debir. Now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath Sepher.
16 Kalebu sì wí pé, “Èmi yóò fi ọmọbìnrin mi Aksa fún ọkùnrin tí ó bá kọlu Kiriati-Seferi, tí ó sì gbà á ní ìgbéyàwó.”
Caleb said, "He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife."
17 Otnieli ọmọ Kenasi, arákùnrin Kalebu, sì gbà á, báyìí ni Kalebu sì fi ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀ Aksa fún un ní ìyàwó.
Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
18 Ní ọjọ́ kan, nígbà tí Aksa lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ Otnieli, ó rọ̀ ọ́ kí ó béèrè ilẹ̀ oko lọ́wọ́ baba rẹ̀. Nígbà náà ni Aksa sọ̀kalẹ̀ ní orí kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ rẹ̀, Kalebu sì béèrè pé, “Kí ni kí èmi ṣe fún ọ?”
It happened, when she came, that she had him ask her father for a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, "What do you want?"
19 Ó sì dáhùn pé, “Mo ń fẹ́ kí o ṣe ojúrere kan fún mi, nígbà ti o ti fún mi ní ilẹ̀ ní gúúsù, fún mi ní ìsun omi náà pẹ̀lú.” Kalebu sì fún un ní ìsun òkè àti ìsun ìsàlẹ̀.
She said, "Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water." He gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 Èyí ni ilẹ̀ ìní ẹ̀yà àwọn ọmọ Juda gẹ́gẹ́ bi ìdílé wọn.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
21 Ìlú ìpẹ̀kun gúúsù ti ẹ̀yà Juda ní gúúsù ní ààlà Edomu nìwọ̀nyí: Kabṣeeli, Ederi, Jaguri,
The farthest cities of the tribe of the descendants of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel, and Arad, and Jagur,
22 Kina, Dimona, Adada,
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedeṣi, Hasori, Itina,
and Kedesh, and Hazor Ithnan,
24 Sifi, Telemu, Bealoti,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hasori Hadatta, Kerioti Hesroni (tí í ṣe Hasori),
and Hazor Hadattah, and Kerioth Hezron (that is, Hazor),
26 Amamu, Ṣema, Molada,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hasari Gada, Heṣmoni, Beti-Peleti,
and Hazar Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth Pelet,
28 Hasari-Ṣuali, Beerṣeba, Bisiotia,
and Hazar Shual, and Beersheba and its villages,
29 Baalahi, Limu, Esemu,
Baalah, and Iyim, and Ezem,
30 Eltoladi, Kesili, Horma,
and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,
31 Siklagi, Madmana, Sansanna,
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,

Ekron, with its towns and its villages;
46 ìwọ̀-oòrùn Ekroni, gbogbo èyí tí ń bẹ nítòsí Aṣdodu, pẹ̀lú àwọn ìletò wọn,
from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
47 Aṣdodu, agbègbè ìlú rẹ̀ àti ìletò; àti Gasa, ìlú rẹ̀ àti ìletò, títí ó fi dé odò Ejibiti àti agbègbè Òkun Ńlá.
Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the Wadi of Egypt, and the Great Sea with its coastline.

In the hill country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

and Nibshan, and Ir Hamelach, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.
63 Juda kò lè lé àwọn ọmọ Jebusi jáde, tí wọ́n ń gbé ní Jerusalẹmu. Àwọn ará Jebusi sì ń gbé pẹ̀lú àwọn ènìyàn Juda títí dí òní.
As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the descendants of Judah couldn't drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the descendants of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
