< John 21 >

1 Lẹ́yìn nǹkan wọ̀nyí, Jesu tún fi ara rẹ̀ hàn fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ létí Òkun Tiberia; báyìí ni ó sì farahàn.
After this Jesus again manifested himself to the disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. He manifested himself in this way.
2 Simoni Peteru, àti Tomasi tí a ń pè ní Didimu, àti Natanaeli ará Kana ti Galili, àti àwọn ọmọ Sebede, àti àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ méjì mìíràn jùmọ̀ wà pọ̀.
Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael (from Cana of Galilee), the sons of Zebedee, and two of Jesus' other disciples were together.
3 Simoni Peteru wí fún wọn pé, “Èmi ń lọ pẹja!” Wọ́n wí fún un pé, “Àwa pẹ̀lú ń bá ọ lọ.” Wọ́n jáde, wọ́n sì wọ inú ọkọ̀ ojú omi; ní òru náà wọn kò sì mú ohunkóhun.
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with yoʋ.” So they immediately went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
4 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ilẹ̀ bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí mọ́, Jesu dúró létí Òkun, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn kò mọ̀ pé Jesu ni.
When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Jesus.
5 Jesu wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ọmọdé, ẹ ní ẹja díẹ̀ bí?” Wọ́n dá a lóhùn pé, “Rárá o.”
Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught any fish to eat?” They answered him, “No.”
6 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ sọ àwọ̀n sí apá ọ̀tún ọkọ̀ ojú omi, ẹ̀yin yóò sì rí.” Nígbà tí wọ́n ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, wọn kò sì lè fà á jáde nítorí ọ̀pọ̀ ẹja.
He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it and were unable to draw it in because of the large number of fish.
7 Nígbà náà ni ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn náà tí Jesu fẹ́ràn wí fún Peteru pé, “Olúwa ni!” Nígbà tí Simoni Peteru gbọ́ pé Olúwa ni, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó di àmùrè ẹ̀wù rẹ̀ mọ́ra, nítorí tí ó wà ní ìhòhò, ó sì gbé ara rẹ̀ sọ sínú Òkun.
Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had taken it off) and plunged into the sea.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn ìyókù mú ọkọ̀ ojú omi kékeré kan wá nítorí tí wọn kò jìnà sílẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n bí ìwọ̀n igba ìgbọ̀nwọ́; wọ́n ń wọ́ àwọ̀n náà tí ó kún fún ẹja.
But the other disciples came in the small boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards away.
9 Nígbà tí wọ́n gúnlẹ̀, wọ́n rí ẹ̀yín iná níbẹ̀ àti ẹja lórí rẹ̀ àti àkàrà.
When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there with a fish lying on it, and bread.
10 Jesu wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ mú nínú ẹja tí ẹ pa nísinsin yìí wá.”
Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just now caught.”
11 Nítorí náà, Simoni Peteru gòkè, ó sì fa àwọ̀n náà wálẹ̀, ó kún fún ẹja ńlá, ó jẹ́ mẹ́tàléláàádọ́jọ bí wọ́n sì ti pọ̀ tó náà, àwọ̀n náà kò ya.
So Simon Peter went aboard and drew the net ashore, full of large fish, one hundred fifty-three of them. Although there were so many, the net had not torn.
12 Jesu wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ wá jẹun òwúrọ̀.” Kò sì sí ẹnìkan nínú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn tí ó jẹ́ bí i pé, “Ta ni ìwọ ṣe?” Nítorí tí wọ́n mọ̀ pé Olúwa ni.
Then Jesus said to them, “Come eat breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are yoʋ?” because they knew it was the Lord.
13 Jesu wá, ó sì mú àkàrà, ó sì fi fún wọn, bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni ẹja.
Then Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did likewise with the fish.
14 Èyí ni ìgbà kẹta nísinsin yìí tí Jesu farahan àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó jíǹde kúrò nínú òkú.
This was now the third time that Jesus had been revealed to his disciples after he had been raised from the dead.
15 Ǹjẹ́ lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí wọ́n jẹun òwúrọ̀ tan, Jesu wí fún Simoni Peteru pé, “Simoni, ọmọ Jona, ìwọ fẹ́ mi ju àwọn wọ̀nyí lọ bí?” Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa; ìwọ mọ̀ pé, mo fẹ́ràn rẹ.” Ó wí fún un pé, “Máa bọ́ àwọn àgùntàn mi.”
When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ love me more than these?” Peter said to him, “Yes, Lord, yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 Ó tún wí fún un nígbà kejì pé, “Simoni ọmọ Jona, ìwọ fẹ́ mi bí?” Ó wí fún un pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa; ìwọ mọ̀ pé, mo fẹ́ràn rẹ.” Ó wí fún un pé, “Máa bọ́ àwọn àgùntàn mi.”
Jesus said to him a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ love me?” Peter said to him, “Yes, Lord, yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
17 Ó wí fún un nígbà kẹta pé, “Simoni, ọmọ Jona, ìwọ fẹ́ràn mi nítòótọ́ bí?” Inú Peteru sì bàjẹ́, nítorí tí ó wí fún un nígbà ẹ̀kẹta pé, “Ìwọ fẹ́ràn mi nítòótọ́ bí?” Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, ìwọ mọ ohun gbogbo; ìwọ mọ̀ pé, mo fẹ́ràn rẹ.” Jesu wí fún un pé, “Máa bọ́ àwọn àgùntàn mi.
Then Jesus said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ care for me?” Peter was grieved that Jesus said to him the third time, “Do yoʋ care for me?” And he said to him, “Lord, yoʋ know everything; yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
18 Lóòótọ́, lóòótọ́ ni mo wí fún ọ, nígbà tí ìwọ wà ní ọ̀dọ́mọdé, ìwọ a máa di ara rẹ ní àmùrè, ìwọ a sì máa rìn lọ sí ibi tí ìwọ bá fẹ́, ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ìwọ bá di arúgbó, ìwọ yóò na ọwọ́ rẹ jáde, ẹlòmíràn yóò sì dì ọ́ ní àmùrè, yóò mú ọ lọ sí ibi tí ìwọ kò fẹ́.”
Truly, truly, I say to yoʋ, when yoʋ were younger, yoʋ would dress yoʋrself and walk wherever yoʋ wanted to go; but when yoʋ grow old, yoʋ will stretch out yoʋr hands, and another will dress yoʋ and bring yoʋ where yoʋ do not want to go.”
19 Jesu wí èyí, ó fi ń ṣe àpẹẹrẹ irú ikú tí yóò fi yin Ọlọ́run lógo. Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó sì ti wí èyí tan, ó wí fún un pé, “Máa tọ̀ mí lẹ́yìn.”
(He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.) After saying this, he said to Peter, “Follow me.”
20 Peteru sì yípadà, ó rí ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn náà, ẹni tí Jesu fẹ́ràn, ń bọ̀ lẹ́yìn; ẹni tí ó gbara le súnmọ́ àyà rẹ̀ nígbà oúnjẹ alẹ́ tí ó sì wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, ta ni ẹni tí yóò fi ọ́ hàn?”
Then Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them (the one who had leaned back on Jesus' chest at the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray yoʋ?”)
21 Nígbà tí Peteru rí i, ó wí fún Jesu pé, “Olúwa, Eléyìí ha ń kọ́?”
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Jesu wí fún un pé, “Bí èmi bá fẹ́ kí ó dúró títí èmi ó fi dé, kín ni èyí jẹ́ sí ọ? Ìwọ máa tọ̀ mí lẹ́yìn.”
Jesus said to him, “If I wish for him to remain until I come, what is that to yoʋ? Yoʋ follow me!”
23 Ọ̀rọ̀ yìí sì tàn ká láàrín àwọn arákùnrin pé, ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn náà kì yóò kú, ṣùgbọ́n Jesu kò wí fún un pé, òun kì yóò kú; ṣùgbọ́n, “Bí èmi bá fẹ́ kí ó dúró títí èmi ó fi dé, kín ni èyí jẹ́ sí ọ?”
So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die; he only said, “If I wish for him to remain until I come, what is that to yoʋ?”
24 Èyí ni ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn náà, tí ó jẹ́rìí nǹkan wọ̀nyí, tí ó sì kọ̀wé nǹkan wọ̀nyí, àwa sì mọ̀ pé, òtítọ́ ni ẹ̀rí rẹ̀.
This is the disciple who is testifying about these things and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
25 Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ohun mìíràn pẹ̀lú ni Jesu ṣe, èyí tí bí a bá kọ̀wé wọn ní ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan, mo rò pé gbogbo ayé pàápàá kò lè gba ìwé náà tí a bá kọ ọ́.
There are also many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were to be written down, I suppose that not even the world itself would have room for the books that would be written. Amen.
