< Job 42 >
1 Nígbà náà ní Jobu dá Olúwa lóhùn, ó sì wí pé,
And Job answered Jehovah and said,
2 “Èmi mọ̀ pé, ìwọ lè e ṣe ohun gbogbo, àti pé, kò si ìrò inú tí a lè fa sẹ́yìn kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ.
I know that thou canst do everything, and that thou canst be hindered in no thought of thine.
3 Ìwọ béèrè, ta ni ẹni tí ń fi ìgbìmọ̀ pamọ́ láìní ìmọ̀? Nítorí náà ní èmi ṣe ń sọ èyí tí èmi kò mọ̀, ohun tí ó ṣe ìyanu jọjọ níwájú mi, ti èmi kò mòye.
Who is he that obscureth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered what I did not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 “Ìwọ wí pé, ‘Gbọ́ tèmi báyìí, èmi ó sì sọ; èmi ó béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ, ìwọ yóò sì dá mi lóhùn.’
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and inform me.
5 Etí mi sì ti gbọ́ nípa rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí ojú mi ti rí ọ.
I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth thee:
6 Ǹjẹ́ nítorí náà èmi kórìíra ara mi, mo sì ronúpìwàdà nínú ekuru àti eérú.”
Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.
7 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ó sì rí, lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí Olúwa ti sọ ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí fún Jobu, Olúwa sì wí fún Elifasi, ará Temani pé, mo bínú sí ọ, àti sí àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ méjèèjì, nítorí pé ẹ̀yin kò sọ̀rọ̀, ní ti èmi, ohun tí ó tọ́, bí Jobu ìránṣẹ́ mi ti sọ.
And it came to pass after Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, that Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, Mine anger is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken rightly of me, like my servant Job.
8 Nítorí náà, ẹ mú akọ ẹgbọrọ màlúù méje, àti àgbò méje, kí ẹ sì tọ̀ Jobu ìránṣẹ́ mi lọ, kí ẹ sì fi rú ẹbọ sísun fún ara yín; Jobu ìránṣẹ́ mi yóò sì gbàdúrà fún yin; nítorí pé àdúrà rẹ̀ ní èmi yóò gbà; kí èmi kí ó má ba ṣe si yín bí ìṣìnà yín, ní ti pé ẹ̀yin kò sọ̀rọ̀ ohun tí ó tọ́ sí mi bi Jobu ìránṣẹ́ mi ti ṣe.
And now, take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt-offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for him will I accept: lest I deal with you [after your] folly, for ye have not spoken of me rightly, like my servant Job.
9 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ní Elifasi, ara Temani, àti Bilidadi, ará Ṣuhi, àti Sofari, ará Naama lọ, wọ́n sì ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti pàṣẹ fún wọn. Olúwa sì gbọ́ àdúrà Jobu.
Then Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did according as Jehovah had said unto them; and Jehovah accepted Job.
10 Olúwa sì yí ìgbèkùn Jobu padà, nígbà tí ó gbàdúrà fún àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀; Olúwa sì bùsi ohun gbogbo ti Jobu ní rí ní ìṣẹ́po méjì ohun tí ó ní tẹ́lẹ̀ rí.
And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he had prayed for his friends; and Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Nígbà náà ní gbogbo àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn arábìnrin rẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn tí ó ti ṣe ojúlùmọ̀ rẹ̀ rí; wọ́n bá a jẹun nínú ilé rẹ̀. Wọ́n sì ṣe ìdárò rẹ̀, wọ́n sì ṣìpẹ̀ fún un nítorí ibi gbogbo tí Olúwa ti mú bá a. Olúkúlùkù ènìyàn pẹ̀lú sì fún un ní ẹyọ owó kọ̀ọ̀kan àti olúkúlùkù ni òrùka wúrà etí kọ̀ọ̀kan.
And all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house, and they condoled with him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him; and every one gave him a piece of money, and every one a golden ring.
12 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa bùkún ìgbẹ̀yìn Jobu ju ìṣáájú rẹ̀ lọ; ẹgbàá méje àgùntàn, ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́fà ìbákasẹ, àti ẹgbẹ̀rún àjàgà ọ̀dá màlúù, àti ẹgbẹ̀rún abo kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́.
And Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning; and he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
13 Ó sì ní ọmọkùnrin méje àti ọmọbìnrin mẹ́ta.
And he had seven sons and three daughters.
14 Ó sì sọ orúkọ àkọ́bí ní Jemima, àti orúkọ èkejì ni Kesia àti orúkọ ẹ̀kẹta ní Kereni-Happuki.
And he called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 Àti ní gbogbo ilẹ̀ náà, a kò rí obìnrin tí ó ní ẹwà bí ọmọ Jobu; baba wọ́n sì pínlẹ̀ fún wọn nínú àwọn arákùnrin wọn.
And in all the land were no women found [so] fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 Lẹ́yìn èyí Jobu wà ní ayé ní ogóje ọdún, ó sì rí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ọkùnrin àti ọmọ ọmọ rẹ̀ ọkùnrin, àní ìran mẹ́rin.
And Job lived after this a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, four generations.
17 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Jobu kú, ó gbó, ó sì kún fún ọjọ́ púpọ̀.
And Job died, old and full of days.
