< Job 27 >

1 Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú Jobu sì tún sọkún ọ̀rọ̀ òwe rẹ̀, ó sì wí pé,
Job continued his discourse:
2 “Bí Ọlọ́run ti ń bẹ, ẹni tí ó gba ìdájọ́ mi lọ, àti Olódùmarè tí ó bà mi ní ọkàn jẹ́,
“As surely as God lives, who has deprived me of justice— the Almighty, who has embittered my soul—
3 níwọ́n ìgbà tí ẹ̀mí mi ń bẹ nínú mi, àti tí ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run ń bẹ nínú ihò imú mi.
as long as my breath is still within me and the breath of God remains in my nostrils,
4 Ètè mi kì yóò sọ̀rọ̀ èké, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ahọ́n mi kì yóò sọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀tàn.
my lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will not utter deceit.
5 Kí a má rí i pé èmi ń dá yín láre; títí èmi ó fi kú, èmi kì yóò ṣí ìwà òtítọ́ mi kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi.
I will never say that you are right; I will maintain my integrity until I die.
6 Òdodo mi ni èmi dìímú ṣinṣin, èmi kì yóò sì jọ̀wọ́ rẹ̀ lọ́wọ́; àyà mi kì yóò sì gan ọjọ́ kan nínú ọjọ́ ayé mi.
I will cling to my righteousness and never let go. As long as I live, my conscience will not accuse me.
7 “Kí ọ̀tá mi kí ó dàbí ènìyàn búburú, àti ẹni tí ń dìde sí mi kí ó dàbí ẹni aláìṣòdodo.
May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust.
8 Nítorí kí ni ìrètí àgàbàgebè, nígbà tí Ọlọ́run bá ké ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ kúrò, nígbà tí ó sì fà á jáde?
For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
9 Ọlọ́run yóò ha gbọ́ àdúrà rẹ̀, nígbà tí ìpọ́njú bá dé sí i?
Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?
10 Òun ha le ní inú dídùn sí Olódùmarè? Òun ha lé máa ké pe Ọlọ́run nígbà gbogbo?
Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?
11 “Èmi ó kọ́ yín ní ẹ̀kọ́ ní ti ọwọ́ Ọlọ́run: ọ̀nà tí ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ Olódùmarè ni èmi kì yóò fi pamọ́.
I will instruct you in the power of God. I will not conceal the ways of the Almighty.
12 Kíyèsi i, gbogbo yín ni ó ti rí i; kín ni ìdí ọ̀rọ̀ asán yín?
Surely all of you have seen it for yourselves. Why then do you keep up this empty talk?
13 “Ẹ̀yin ni ìpín ènìyàn búburú lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti ogún àwọn aninilára, tí wọ́n ó gbà lọ́wọ́ Olódùmarè.
This is the wicked man’s portion from God— the heritage the ruthless receive from the Almighty.
14 Bí àwọn ọmọ rẹ bá di púpọ̀, fún idà ni; àwọn ọmọ ọmọ rẹ̀ kì yóò yó fún oúnjẹ.
Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; and his offspring will never have enough food.
15 Àwọn tí ó kù nínú tirẹ̀ ni a ó sìnkú nínú àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn: àwọn opó rẹ̀ kì yóò sì sọkún fún wọn.
His survivors will be buried by the plague, and their widows will not weep for them.
16 Bí ó tilẹ̀ kó fàdákà jọ bí erùpẹ̀, tí ó sì dá aṣọ jọ bí amọ̀;
Though he heaps up silver like dust and piles up a wardrobe like clay,
17 àwọn ohun tí ó tò jọ àwọn olóòtítọ́ ni yóò lò ó; àwọn aláìṣẹ̀ ni yóò sì pín fàdákà rẹ̀.
what he lays up, the righteous will wear, and his silver will be divided by the innocent.
18 Òun kọ́ ilé rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí kòkòrò aṣọ, àti bí ahéré tí olùṣọ́ kọ́.
The house he built is like a moth’s cocoon, like a hut set up by a watchman.
19 Ọlọ́rọ̀ yóò dùbúlẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n òun kì yóò túnṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ mọ́, nígbà tí ó bá la ojú rẹ̀, gbogbo rẹ̀ a lọ.
He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, all is gone.
20 Ẹ̀rù ńlá bà á bí omi ṣíṣàn; ẹ̀fúùfù ńlá jí gbé lọ ní òru.
Terrors overtake him like a flood; a tempest sweeps him away in the night.
21 Ẹ̀fúùfù ìlà-oòrùn gbé e lọ, òun sì lọ; àti bí ìjì ńlá ó sì fà á kúrò ní ipò rẹ̀.
The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.
22 Nítorí pé Olódùmarè yóò kọlù ú, kì yóò sì dá sí; òun ìbá yọ̀ láti sá kúrò ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
It hurls itself against him without mercy as he flees headlong from its power.
23 Àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì ṣápẹ́ sí i lórí, wọn yóò sì ṣe síọ̀ sí i kúrò ní ipò rẹ̀.”
It claps its hands at him and hisses him out of his place.
