< Job 25 >

1 Nígbà náà ní Bilidadi, ará Ṣuhi, dáhùn wí pé,
Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,
2 “Ìjọba àti ẹ̀rù ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run rẹ̀, òun ní i ṣe ìlàjà ní ibi gíga gíga ọ̀run.
What beginning or fear is his—even he that makes all things in the highest?
3 Àwọn ọmọ-ogun rẹ̀ ha ní ìyè bí, tàbí ara ta ni ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ kò tàn sí?
For let none think that there is a respite for robbers: and upon whom will there not come a snare from him?
4 Èéha ti ṣe tí a ó fi dá ènìyàn láre lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run? Tàbí ẹni tí a bí láti inú obìnrin wá yóò ha ṣe mọ́?
For how shall a mortal be just before the Lord? or who that is born of a woman shall purify himself?
5 Kíyèsi i, òṣùpá kò sì lè tàn ìmọ́lẹ̀, àní àwọn ìràwọ̀ kò mọ́lẹ̀ ní ojú rẹ̀,
If he gives an order to the moon, then it shines not; and the stars are not pure before him.
6 kí a má sọ ènìyàn tí i ṣe ìdin, àti ọmọ ènìyàn tí í ṣe kòkòrò!”
But alas! man is corruption, and the son of man a worm.
