< Jeremiah 52 >
1 Sedekiah jẹ́ ọmọ ọdún mọ́kànlélógún nígbà tí ó jẹ ọba. Ọdún mọ́kànlá ló fi jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu. Orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ ni Hamutali ọmọ Jeremiah; láti Libina ló ti wá.
Zedekiah was one and twentie yeere olde when he began to reigne, and he reigned eleuen yeeres in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Hamutal, the daughter of Ieremiah of Libnah.
2 Ó ṣe búburú ní ojú Olúwa gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jehoiakimu ti ṣe.
And he did euil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Iehoiakim had done.
3 Nítorí ìbínú Olúwa ni gbogbo èyí ṣe ṣẹlẹ̀ sí Jerusalẹmu àti Juda àti ní ìkẹyìn. Ó sì gbà wọ́n gbọ́ ní iwájú rẹ̀. Sedekiah ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọba Babeli.
Doubtlesse because the wrath of the Lord was against Ierusalem and Iudah, till he had cast them out from his presence, therefore Zedekiah rebelled against the King of Babel.
4 Nígbà tí ó di ọdún kẹsànán ti Sedekiah tí ń ṣe ìjọba ní ọjọ́ kẹwàá, oṣù kẹwàá Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli sì lọ sí Jerusalẹmu pẹ̀lú gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun rẹ̀, wọ́n pàgọ́ sí ẹ̀yìn odi ìlú náà; wọ́n sì mọ odi yíká rẹ̀.
But in the ninth yeere of his reigne, in the tenth moneth the tenth day of the moneth came Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, he and all his hoste against Ierusalem, and pitched against it, and buylt fortes against it round about.
5 Ìlú náà sì wá lábẹ́ ìhámọ́ títí di ọdún kọkànlá ọba Sedekiah.

Now in the fourth moneth, the ninth day of the moneth, the famine was sore in ye citie, so that there was no more bread for ye people of the land.
7 Bákan náà, odi ìlú náà ti ya àwọn ọmọ-ogun sì tí sálọ. Wọn fi ìlú náà sílẹ̀ ní òru nípa ojú ọ̀nà tó wà láàrín odi méjèèjì lẹ́bàá ọgbà ọba. Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wí pé, àwọn ará Babeli yìí yí ìlú náà ká. Wọ́n sá gba aginjù lọ.
Then the citie was broken vp and all the men of warre fled, and went out of the citie by night, by the way of the gate betweene the two walles, which was by the kings garden: (now the Caldeans were by the citie round about) and they went by the way of the wildernes.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ-ogun Babeli lépa ọba Sedekiah wọ́n sì le bá ni pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Jeriko. Gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun sì pínyà, kúrò ní ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ wọ́n sì túká.
But the army of the Caldeans pursued after the king, and tooke Zedekiah in the desert of Iericho, and all his host was scattered from him.
9 Wọ́n sì mu ní ìgbèkùn. Wọn mú un lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ ọba Babeli, ní Ribla ní ilẹ̀ Hamati níbẹ̀ ni ó ti ṣe ìdájọ́ lórí rẹ̀.
Then they tooke the king and caryed him vp vnto the king of Babel to Riblah in the lande of Hamath, where he gaue iudgement vpon him.
10 Ní Ribla ni ọba Babeli ti pa ọmọkùnrin Sedekiah lójú rẹ̀; ó sì tún pa gbogbo àwọn aláṣẹ Juda.
And the king of Babel slewe the sonnes of Zedekiah, before his eyes he slew also al ye princes of Iudah in Riblah.
11 Lẹ́yìn náà, ọba Babeli yọ Sedekiah ní ojú, o sì fi ẹ̀wọ̀n dè é, ó sì gbe e lọ sí Babeli níbi tí ó ti fi sínú ọgbà ẹ̀wọ̀n títí di ọjọ́ ikú rẹ̀.
Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and the king of Babel bound him in chaines, and caried him to Babel, and put him in pryson till the day of his death.
12 Ní ọjọ́ kẹwàá oṣù karùn-ún, tí ó jẹ́ ọdún kọkàndínlógún Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli, ni Nebusaradani balógun ìṣọ́ wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
