The vision of Isaiah [Salvation of Yah] the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah [Praised] and Jerusalem [City of peace], in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah [Praised].
2 Gbọ́ ẹ̀yin ọ̀run! Fi etí sílẹ̀, ìwọ ayé! Nítorí Olúwa ti sọ̀rọ̀: “Mo tọ́ àwọn ọmọ dàgbà, ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n ti ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí mi.
Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, heavens, and listen, earth; for Adonai has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 Màlúù mọ olówó rẹ̀, kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ sì mọ ibùjẹ olówó rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n Israẹli kò mọ̀, òye kò yé àwọn ènìyàn mi.”
The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel [God prevails] does not know, my people don’t consider.”
4 Á à! Orílẹ̀-èdè ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, àwọn ènìyàn tí ẹ̀bi ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ń pa lẹ́rù, ìran àwọn aṣebi, àwọn ọmọ tó ti di aṣèbàjẹ́! Wọn ti kọ Olúwa sílẹ̀ wọn ti gan Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli, wọn sì ti kẹ̀yìn sí i.
Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken Adonai. They have despised the haKadosh Isra'el [the Holy One of God prevails]. They are estranged and backward.
5 Èéṣe tí a ó fi tún lù yín mọ́? Èéṣe tí ẹ ò dẹ́kun ọ̀tẹ̀ ṣíṣe? Gbogbo orí yín jẹ́ kìkì ọgbẹ́, gbogbo ọkàn yín sì ti pòruurù.
Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 Láti àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ yín dé àtàrí yín kò sí àlàáfíà rárá, àyàfi ọgbẹ́ òun ìfarapa àti ojú egbò, tí a kò nù kúrò tàbí kí á dì tàbí kí a kùn ún ní òróró.
From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it: wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven’t been closed, neither bandaged, neither soothed with oil.
7 Orílẹ̀-èdè yín dahoro, a dáná sun àwọn ìlú yín, oko yín ni àwọn àjèjì ti jẹ run lójú ara yín náà, ni gbogbo rẹ̀ ṣòfò bí èyí tí àwọn àjèjì borí rẹ̀.
Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
8 Ọmọbìnrin Sioni ni a fi sílẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí àtíbàbà nínú ọgbà àjàrà, gẹ́gẹ́ bí abà nínú oko ẹ̀gúnsí, àti bí ìlú tí a dó tì.
The daughter of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a besieged city.
9 Àyàfi bí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun bá ṣẹ́ díẹ̀ kù fún wà, a ò bá ti rí bí Sodomu, a ò bá sì ti dàbí Gomorra.
Unless Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies] had left to us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom [Burning]; we would have been like Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants].
10 Gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa, ẹ̀yin aláṣẹ Sodomu, tẹ́tí sí òfin Ọlọ́run wa, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Gomorra!
Sh'ma ·Hear obey· Adonai’s word, you rulers of Sodom [Burning]! Listen to the Torah ·Teaching· of our God, you people of Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants]!
11 “Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹbọ yín kín ni ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹbọ yín jásí fún mi?” ni Olúwa wí. “Mo ti ní ànító àti àníṣẹ́kù ẹbọ sísun ti àgbò àti ọ̀rá ẹran àbọ́pa, Èmi kò ní inú dídùn nínú ẹ̀jẹ̀ akọ màlúù, ti àgùntàn àti ti òbúkọ.
“What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?,” says Adonai. “I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed animals. I don’t delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.
12 Nígbà tí ẹ wá farahàn níwájú mi, ta ni ó béèrè èyí lọ́wọ́ yín, gìrì gìrì ẹsẹ̀ nínú àgbàlá mi?
When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts?
13 Ẹ má mú ọrẹ asán wá mọ́! Ìríra ni tùràrí yín jásí fún mi, oṣù tuntun àti ọjọ́ ìsinmi àti àwọn àpéjọ, Èmi kò lè faradà á, ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ni àpéjọ yín wọ̀nyí.
Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; new moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can’t bear with evil assemblies.
14 Ayẹyẹ oṣù tuntun yín àti àjọ̀dún tí a yàn, ni ọkàn mi kórìíra. Wọ́n ti di àjàgà sí mi ní ọrùn, Ó sú mi láti fi ara dà wọ́n.
My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them.
15 Nígbà tí ẹ bá tẹ́ ọwọ́ yín sókè ni àdúrà, Èmi yóò fi ojú mi pamọ́ fún un yín, kódà bí ẹ bá gba ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àdúrà, Èmi kò ni tẹ́tí sí i. “Ọwọ́ yín kún fún ẹ̀jẹ̀.
When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not sh'ma ·hear obey·. Your hands are full of blood.
16 “Wẹ̀ kí ẹ sì jẹ́ kí ara yín mọ́. Ẹ mú ìwà ibi yín kúrò níwájú mi! Dáwọ́ àìṣedéédéé dúró,
Wash yourselves, make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.

Learn to do well. Seek mishpat ·justice·. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the orphan. Plead for the widow.”
18 “Ẹ wá ní ìsinsin yìí, ẹ jẹ́ kí a jọ ṣàṣàrò,” ni Olúwa wí. “Bí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín bá rí bí osùn, wọn ó sì funfun bí i yìnyín, bí wọn bá sì pọ́n bí ẹ̀jẹ̀, wọn ó sì dàbí ẹ̀gbọ̀n òwú.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says Adonai: “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 Tí ẹ̀yin bá fẹ́, tí ẹ sì gbọ́rọ̀, ẹ̀yin yóò sì jẹ ojúlówó adùn ilẹ̀ náà.
If you are willing and sh'ma ·hearing obedient·, you shall eat the good of the land;

but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Adonai has spoken it.”
21 Wo bí ìlú òtítọ́ ṣe di àgbèrè! Ó ti kún fún ìdájọ́ òtítọ́ nígbà kan rí, òdodo ń gbé ibẹ̀ tẹ́lẹ̀ rí, ṣùgbọ́n báyìí àwọn apànìyàn!
How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of mishpat ·justice·; righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.
22 Fàdákà rẹ ti di ìpẹ́pẹ́, ààyò wáìnì rẹ la ti bu omi là.
Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water.

Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves. Everyone 'ahav ·affectionately loves· bribes, and follows after rewards. They don’t judge the orphan, neither does the cause of the widow come to them.
24 Nítorí náà ni Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, alágbára kan ṣoṣo tí Israẹli sọ wí pé: “Á à! Èmi yóò ní ìfọ̀kànbalẹ̀ lórí àwọn ọ̀tá mi n ó sì gbẹ̀san lára àwọn ọ̀tá mi.
Therefore the Lord, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], the Mighty One of Israel [God prevails], says: “Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself on my enemies;
25 Èmi yóò pa ọwọ́ mi dà sí ọ, èmi ó sì ku ìpẹ́pẹ́ rẹ dànù, n ó sì mú gbogbo ìdọ̀tí rẹ kúrò.
and I will turn my hand on you, thoroughly purge away your dross, and will take away all your tin.
26 Èmi yóò mú àwọn adájọ́ rẹ bọ̀ sí ipò gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti àtijọ́, àti àwọn olùdámọ̀ràn rẹ̀ bí i ti ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ pẹ̀pẹ̀. Lẹ́yìn náà ni a ó pè ọ ní ìlú òdodo, ìlú òtítọ́.”
I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called ‘The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’
27 A ó fi ìdájọ́ òtítọ́ ra Sioni padà, àti àwọn tí ó ronúpìwàdà pẹ̀lú òdodo.
Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] shall be redeemed with mishpat ·justice·, and her converts with righteousness.
28 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọlọ̀tẹ̀ àti àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ ni a ó parun. Àwọn tí ó bá sì kọ Olúwa sílẹ̀ ni yóò ṣègbé.
But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake Adonai shall be consumed.
29 “Ojú yóò tì yín nítorí igi óákù mímọ́ èyí tí ẹ ní inú dídùn sí, a ó kàn yín lábùkù nítorí àwọn ọgbà yìí tí ẹ ti yàn fúnra yín.
For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen.
30 Ẹ ó sì dàbí igi óákù tí ewé rẹ̀ ti rọ, bí ọgbà tí kò ní omi.
For you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water.
31 Alágbára ọkùnrin náà yóò sì dàbí ohun ìdáná, iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ bí ẹ̀ṣẹ́-iná, àwọn méjèèjì ni yóò jóná papọ̀, láìsí ẹni tí yóò lè pa iná yìí.”
The strong will be like tinder, and his work like a spark. They will both burn together, and no one will quench them.”
