< Isaiah 66 >

1 Báyìí ni Olúwa wí: “Ọ̀run ni ìtẹ́ mi, ayé sì ni àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ mi. Níbo ni ilé tí ẹ ó kọ́ fún mi wà? Níbo ní ibi ìsinmi mi yóò gbé wà?
Thus, saith Yahweh, The, heavens, are my throne, and The earth, is my footstool: Where then is the house which ye can build me? Or where is my place of rest?
2 Kì í ha á ṣe ọwọ́ mi ló tí ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n sì wà?” ni Olúwa wí. “Eléyìí ni ẹni tí mo kà sí: ẹni náà tí ó rẹra rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ tí ó sì kẹ́dùn ní ọkàn rẹ̀, tí ó sì wárìrì sí ọ̀rọ̀ mi.
For, all these things, hath mine own hand made, And all these things came into being, —Declareth Yahweh. But for this one, will I look around, For him who is humbled and smitten in spirit, And so careth anxiously for my word.
3 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ó fi akọ màlúù rú ẹbọ ó dàbí ẹni tí ó pa ènìyàn kan àti ẹni tí ó bá fi ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn kan tọrẹ, dàbí ẹni tí ó bẹ́ ajá kan lọ́rùn; ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá fi irúgbìn ìyẹ̀fun tọrẹ dàbí ẹni tí ó mú ẹ̀jẹ̀ ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ wá, ẹni tí ó bá sì sun tùràrí ìrántí, dàbí ẹni tí ó súre fún òrìṣà. Wọ́n ti yan ipa ọ̀nà tì wọ́n, ọkàn wọn pẹ̀lú sì láyọ̀ nínú ohun ìríra wọn,
He that slaughtereth an ox, [is as one] who smiteth a man, He that sacrificeth a lamb, [is as one] who beheadeth a dog, he that causeth a meal-offering to ascend, offereth it with the blood of swine, He that maketh a memorial of frankincense, [is as one] who blesseth iniquity: They indeed, have chosen their own ways, And in their own abominations, their soul hath found delight;
4 fún ìdí èyí ni èmi pẹ̀lú yóò ṣe fi ọwọ́ líle mú wọn n ó sì mú ohun tí wọ́n bẹ̀rù rẹ̀ wá sórí wọn. Nítorí nígbà tí mo pè, kò sí ẹni tí ó dáhùn, nígbà tí mo sọ̀rọ̀, ẹnikẹ́ni kò tẹ́tí sílẹ̀. Wọ́n ṣe ohun búburú ní ojú mi wọ́n sì yan ohun tí mo kórìíra rẹ̀.”
I, also, will choose the things that vex them. And the things they dread, will I bring upon them, Because—I called and there was none to answer, I spake, and they hearkened not, —But did that which was wicked in mine eyes, And of that wherein I delighted not, made choice.
5 Ẹ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa, ẹ̀yin tí ẹ ń wárìrì nípasẹ̀ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀: “Àwọn arákùnrin yín tí wọ́n kórìíra yín, tí wọ́n ta yín nù nítorí orúkọ mi, wí pé, ‘Jẹ́ kí a yin Olúwa lógo, kí a le rí ayọ̀ yín!’ Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ni ojú yóò tì.
Hear the word of Yahweh, ye who care anxiously for his word: Said your brethren Who hated you. Who thrust you out for my Name’s sake, Yahweh be glorified! Therefore shall he appear to your rejoicing, But, they, shall turn pale.
6 Gbọ́ rògbòdìyàn láti ìlú wá, gbọ́ ariwo náà láti tẹmpili wá! Ariwo tí Olúwa ní í ṣe tí ó ń san án fún àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ ohun tí ó tọ́ sí wọn.
The sound of a tumult—out of the city, A sound, out of the temple, —The sound of Yahweh rendering recompense to his foes.
7 “Kí ó tó lọ sí ìrọbí, ó ti bímọ; kí ó tó di pé ìrora dé bá a, ó ti bí ọmọkùnrin.
Before she travaileth, she hath brought forth, —Before her pains come to her, she hath given birth to a man-child!
8 Ta ni ó ti gbọ́ irú nǹkan bẹ́ẹ̀ rí? Ta ni ó ti rí irú nǹkan bẹ́ẹ̀ rí? Ǹjẹ́ a le bí orílẹ̀-èdè kan níjọ́ kan tàbí kí orílẹ̀-èdè lalẹ̀hù ní ìṣẹ́jú kan? Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ Sioni bẹ̀rẹ̀ rírọbí bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó sì bí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀.
Who hath heard the like of this? Who hath seen the like of these things? Can a land, be made to bring forth in one day? Or a nation, be born, at one time? As soon as she travaileth, Zion hath also given birth to her children.
9 Ǹjẹ́ èmi a ha máa mú wá sí ìrọbí kí èmi má sì mú ni bí?” ni Olúwa wí. “Ǹjẹ́ èmi a ha máa ṣé ilé ọmọ nígbà tí mo ń mú ìbí wá?” Ni Ọlọ́run yín wí.
Could, I, bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? saith Yahweh. Or, I, be causing to bring forth and then prevent? Saith thy God.
10 “Ẹ bá Jerusalẹmu yọ̀ kí inú yín kí ó sì dùn sí i, gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ẹ fẹ́ràn rẹ̀; ẹ yọ̀ gidigidi pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ó ti kẹ́dùn fún un.
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and exult over her All ye who love her, —Joy with her right joyfully, All ye who used to mourn over her:
11 Nítorí pé ẹ̀yin yóò mu ẹ o sì ní ìtẹ́lọ́rùn nínú ọmú rẹ̀ tí ó tu ni lára, ẹ̀yin yóò mu àmuyó ẹ ó sì gbádùn nínú àkúnwọ́sílẹ̀ ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ rẹ̀.”
That ye may draw to satisfaction out of the fountain of her consolations, —That ye may drain out and get exquisite delight from the abundance of her glory.
12 Nítorí báyìí ni Olúwa wí: “Èmi yóò fún un ní àlàáfíà gẹ́gẹ́ bí odò àti ọrọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìṣàn omi; ẹ̀yin yóò mu ọmú, a ó sì gbé yín ní apá rẹ̀ a ó bá yín ṣeré ní orúkún rẹ̀.
For, thus, saith Yahweh, —Behold me! extending unto her like a river, prosperity, And as a torrent o’erflowing, the glory of the nations. That ye may draw it forth—Upon the side, shall ye be carried, and Upon the knees, shall ye be caressed:
13 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìyá ti í tu ọmọ rẹ̀ nínú, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi yóò tù yín nínú a ó sì tù yín nínú lórí Jerusalẹmu.”
As one whom, his mother, consoleth, So, will, I, console you, And in Jerusalem, shall ye be consoled.
14 Nígbà tí ẹ bá rí èyí, inú yín yóò dùn ẹ̀yin yóò sì gbilẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí i koríko; ọwọ́ Olúwa ni a ó sọ di mí mọ̀ fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ìbínú rẹ̀ ni a ó fihàn fún àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀.
As soon as ye have seen it, your heart, shall be joyful, And your bones, like green herbage, shall thrive, —So shall be known The hand of Yahweh with his servants, But indignation with his foes!
15 Kíyèsi i, Olúwa ń bọ̀ pẹ̀lú iná àti kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun rẹ̀ tí ó dàbí ìjì líle; òun yóò mú ìbínú rẹ sọ̀kalẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìrunú, àti ìbáwí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ahọ́n iná.
For lo! Yahweh, with fire, doth come, And like a storm-wind, [are] his chariots, —To render with fury, his anger, And his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 Nítorí pẹ̀lú iná àti idà ni Olúwa yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ lórí i gbogbo ènìyàn, àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni àwọn tí Olúwa yóò pa.
For, by fire, will Yahweh enter into judgment, And by his sword, with all flesh, —And many shall be the slain of Yahweh.
17 “Gbogbo àwọn tí wọ́n ya ara wọn sí mímọ́ tí wọ́n sì sọ ara wọn di mímọ́ láti lọ sínú ọgbà, tí wọ́n tẹ̀lé ẹni tí ó wà láàrín àwọn tí ó jẹ ẹran ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ àti èkúté àti àwọn ohun ìríra mìíràn ni wọn yóò bá òpin wọn pàdé papọ̀,” ni Olúwa wí.
They who hallow themselves and purify themselves for the gardens, Behind a certain thing in the midst, Who eat the flesh of swine and the abomination, and the mouse, Together, shall be cut off—Declareth Yahweh.
18 “Àti Èmi, nítorí ìgbésẹ̀ wọn àti èrò wọn, èmi ti múra tán láti wá kó àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè àti ahọ́n jọ, wọn yóò sì wá wo ògo mi.
Because, I, …for their works and their devices, doth it come! …Am about to gather together all nations and tongues, —So shall they come and see my glory.
19 “Èmi yóò sì gbé àmì kan kalẹ̀ láàrín wọn, èmi yóò sì rán díẹ̀ nínú àwọn tí ó sálà lọ sí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè Tarṣiṣi, sí àwọn ará Libia àti Ludi, sí Tubali àti ará Giriki, àti sí àwọn erékùṣù tí ó jìnnà réré tí kò tí ìgbọ́ nípa òkìkí mi tàbí kí ó rí ògo mi. Wọn yóò kéde ògo mi láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè.
Then will I set among them, a sign, And will send, of them such as have escaped unto the nations—Tarshish Pul and Lud that draw the bow, Tubal and Javan, —The Coastlands that are afar off, Who have not heard my fame Nor seen my glory, And they shall tell my glory throughout the nations.
20 Wọn yóò sì mú àwọn arákùnrin yín wá, láti gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè, sí òkè mímọ́ mi ní Jerusalẹmu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọrẹ sí Olúwa lórí ẹṣin, lórí kẹ̀kẹ́ ẹrù àti ọkọ̀-ẹṣin, àti lórí ìbáaka àti ìbákasẹ,” ni Olúwa wí. “Wọn yóò kó wọn wá, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ti mú ọrẹ oníhóró wọn wá, sínú Tẹmpili Olúwa nínú ohun èlò mímọ́.
Then shall they bring in all your brethren out of all the nations, As a present unto Yahweh, Upon horses and in chariots and in palanquins and on mules and on dromedaries Unto my holy mountain—Jerusalem, saith Yahweh, —Just as the sons of Israel, bring in their present in a pure vessel, into the house, of Yahweh.
21 Àti pé èmi yóò sì yan àwọn kan nínú wọn pẹ̀lú láti jẹ́ àlùfáà àti Lefi,” ni Olúwa wí.
And of them also, will I take for priests—for Levites, saith Yahweh,
22 “Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn ọ̀run tuntun àti ayé tuntun tí mo dá yóò ṣe wà níwájú mi títí láé,” ni Olúwa wí, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni orúkọ yín àti ìrandíran yín yóò pegedé.
For, as the new heavens and the new earth, which I am about to make, are to remain before me, Declareth Yahweh, So, shall remain your seed and your name.
23 Láti oṣù tuntun kan dé òmíràn àti láti ọjọ́ ìsinmi kan dé òmíràn, ni gbogbo ọmọ ènìyàn yóò wá, wọn yóò sì tẹríba níwájú mi,” ni Olúwa wí.
And it shall come to pass, that From one new moon to another, and From one sabbath to another, Shall all flesh, come in, to bow down before me, Saith Yahweh.
24 “Wọn yóò sì jáde lọ wọn yóò sì lọ wo òkú àwọn tí wọ́n dìtẹ̀ sí mi; kòkòrò wọn kì yóò kú, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni iná wọn ni a kì yóò pa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn yóò sì jẹ́ ohun ìríra fún gbogbo ọmọ ènìyàn.”
Then shall they go forth and look upon the dead bodies of the men who had been trespassing against me—For, their worm, shall not die, And, their fire, shall not be quenched; So shall they become an abhorrence to all flesh.
