< Isaiah 63 >
1 Ta nì eléyìí tí ó Edomu wá, ti òun ti aṣọ àrẹpọ́n láti Bosra wá? Ta nì eléyìí, tí ó ní ògo nínú aṣọ rẹ̀, tí ó ń yan bọ̀ wá nínú ọláńlá agbára rẹ̀? “Èmi ni ẹni tí ó ń sọ̀rọ̀ nínú òdodo tí ó ní ipa láti gbàlà.”
Who is this, who arrives from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah? This is the Handsome One in his robe, advancing by the fullness of his strength. It is I, the Speaker of Justice, and I am the Fighter for Salvation.
2 Èéṣe tí aṣọ yín fi pupa gẹ́gẹ́ bí i tàwọn tí ń ṣiṣẹ́ ní ìfúntí?
So then, why is your garment red, and why are your vestments like the ones of those who tread the winepress?
3 “Èmi nìkan ti dá tẹ ìfúntí wáìnì; láti àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí ẹnikẹ́ni kò sì wà pẹ̀lú mi. Mo tẹ̀ wọ́n mọ́lẹ̀ ní ìbínú mi mo sì tẹ̀ wọ́n rẹ́ ní ìrunú mi ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọn sì fọ́n sí aṣọ mi, mo sì da àbàwọ́n sí gbogbo aṣọ mi.
I have trod the winepress alone. And among the nations, there is no man beside me. I have trampled on them in my fury, and I have tread them down in my wrath. And so, their blood has been sprinkled on my vestments, and I have stained all my garments.
4 Nítorí ọjọ́ ẹ̀san wà ní ọkàn mi àti pé ọdún ìràpadà mi ti dé.
For the day of vengeance is in my heart. The year of my redemption has arrived.
5 Mo wò, ṣùgbọ́n kò sí ẹnìkan láti ṣe ìrànwọ́. Àyà fò mí pé ẹnikẹ́ni kò ṣèrànwọ́; nítorí náà apá mi ni ó ṣiṣẹ́ ìgbàlà fún mi àti ìrunú mi ni ó gbé mi ró.
I gazed around, and there was no one to assist. I sought, and there was no one who would help. And so, my own arm has saved for me, and my own wrath itself has assisted me.
6 Mo tẹ orílẹ̀-èdè mọ́lẹ̀ nínú ìbínú mi; nínú ìrunú mi mo jẹ́ kí wọ́n mu mo sì da ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọn sílẹ̀ lórí erùpẹ̀.”
And I have trampled the peoples in my fury, and I have inebriated them with my indignation, and I have torn down their strength to the ground.
7 Èmi yóò sọ nípa àánú Olúwa, ìṣe rẹ gbogbo tí ó yẹ kí a yìn ín fún, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ohun tí Olúwa ti ṣe fún wa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, ohun rere gbogbo tí ó ti ṣe fún ilé Israẹli, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àánú àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ oore rẹ̀.
I will remember the compassion of the Lord, the praise of the Lord over all that the Lord has bestowed on us, and over the multitude of his good things for the house of Israel, which he has granted to them according to his leniency, and according to the multitude of his mercies.
8 Ó wí pé, “Lóòtítọ́ ènìyàn mi ni wọ́n, àwọn ọmọ tí kì yóò jẹ́ òpùrọ́ fún mi”; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, ó sì di Olùgbàlà wọn.
And he said: “Yet truly, these are my people, sons who have not been disowned.” And he became their Savior.
9 Nínú gbogbo ìpọ́njú wọn, inú òun pẹ̀lú bàjẹ́ àti angẹli tí ó wà níwájú rẹ̀ gbà wọ́n là. Nínú ìfẹ́ àti àánú rẹ̀, ó rà wọ́n padà; ó gbé wọn sókè ó sì pọ̀n wọ́n ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ìgbà n nì.
Throughout all their tribulation, he was not troubled, for the Angel of his presence saved them. With his love, and by his leniency, he has redeemed them, and he has carried them and lifted them up, throughout all the days of the ages.
10 Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ wọ́n ṣọ̀tẹ̀ wọ́n sì ba Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ rẹ̀ nínú jẹ́. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó yípadà ó sì di ọ̀tá wọn òun tìkára rẹ̀ sì bá wọn jà.
But they themselves provoked to wrath and afflicted his Holy Spirit, and he was turned to be for them like an enemy, and he himself went to war against them.
11 Lẹ́yìn náà ni àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ rántí ọjọ́ ìgbà n nì, àwọn ọjọ́ Mose àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ níbo ni ẹni náà wà tí ó mú wọn la Òkun já, pẹ̀lú olùṣọ́-àgùntàn agbo ẹran rẹ̀? Níbo ni ẹni náà wà tí ó rán Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ rẹ̀ sáàrín wọn,
And he remembered the days of ancient times, the days of Moses and his people. Where is he who led them out of the sea, with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who placed his Holy Spirit in their midst?
12 ta ni ó rán apá ògo ti agbára rẹ̀ láti wà ní apá ọ̀tún Mose, ta ni ó pín omi ní yà níwájú wọn, láti gba òkìkí ayérayé fún ara rẹ̀,
He led Moses by the right hand, with the arm of his majesty. He split the waters before them, in order to make an everlasting name for himself.
13 ta ni ó síwájú wọn la àwọn ọ̀gbun nì já? Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹṣin ni gbangba ìlú wọn tí kò sì kọsẹ̀;
He led them through the abyss, like a horse which does not stumble, in the desert.
14 gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀wọ́ ẹran tí ó lọ sí pápá oko, a fún wọn ní ìsinmi láti ọwọ́ Ẹ̀mí Olúwa. Báyìí ni ẹ ṣe tọ́ àwọn ènìyàn yín láti fún ara yín ní orúkọ kan tí ó lógo.
Like an animal who descends to an open field, the Spirit of the Lord was their guide. Thus did you lead your people, in order to make a glorious name for yourself.
15 Bojú wolẹ̀ láti ọ̀run kí o sì rí i láti ìtẹ́ ògo rẹ, mímọ́ àti ológo. Níbo ni ìtara àti agbára rẹ wà? Ìwà jẹ́ẹ́jẹ́ rẹ àti àánú rẹ ni a ti mú kúrò níwájú wa.
Gaze down from heaven, and behold from your holy habitation and from your glory. Where is your zeal, and your strength, the fullness of your heart and of your compassion? They have held themselves back from me.
For you are our Father, and Abraham has not known us, and Israel has been ignorant of us. You are our Father, O Lord our Redeemer. Your name is beyond all ages.
17 Èéṣe Olúwa tí o fi jẹ́ kí a ṣáko kúrò ní ojú ọ̀nà rẹ tí o sì ṣé àyà wa le tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwa kò fi bọ̀wọ̀ fún ọ? Padà nítorí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, àwọn ẹ̀yà tí ṣe ogún ìní rẹ.
Why have you allowed us to stray from your ways, O Lord? Why have you hardened our heart, so that we do not fear you? Return, for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance.
18 Fún ìgbà díẹ̀ ni àwọn ènìyàn rẹ fi gba ibi mímọ́ rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí àwọn ọ̀tá wa ti tẹ ibi mímọ́ rẹ mọ́lẹ̀.
They have possessed your holy people as if it were nothing. Our enemies have trampled your sanctuary.
19 Àwa jẹ́ tìrẹ láti ìgbà n nì; ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kò tí ì jẹ ọba lé wọn lórí, a kò sì tí ì pè wọ́n mọ́ orúkọ rẹ.
We have become as we were in the beginning, when you did not rule over us, and when we were not called by your name.
