< Isaiah 60 >
1 “Dìde, tànmọ́lẹ̀, nítorí ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ ti dé, ògo Olúwa sì ràdàbò ọ́.
Be enlightened, be enlightened, O Jerusalem, for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2 Kíyèsi i, òkùnkùn bo ilẹ̀ ayé òkùnkùn biribiri sì wà lórí àwọn ènìyàn, ṣùgbọ́n Olúwa ràn bò ọ́ ògo rẹ̀ sì farahàn lórí i rẹ.
Behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and [there shall be] gross darkness on the nations: but the Lord shall appear upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.
3 Àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè yóò wá sí ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ, àti àwọn ọba sí ìmọ́lẹ̀ òwúrọ̀ rẹ.
And kings shall walk in your light, and nations in your brightness.
4 “Gbé ojú rẹ sókè, kí o sì wò. Gbogbo wọn ṣa ara jọ pọ̀, wọ́n sì wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ; àwọn ọmọ rẹ ọkùnrin yóò wá láti ọ̀nà jíjìn, àwọn ọmọ rẹ obìnrin ni a ó tọ́jú ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ rẹ.
Lift up your eyes round about, and behold your children gathered: all your sons have come from far, and your daughters shall be borne on [men's] shoulders.
5 Nígbà náà ni ìwọ yóò wò tí ojú rẹ yóò máa dán, ọkàn rẹ yó fò, yó sì kún fún ayọ̀; ọrọ̀ inú Òkun ni a ó kò wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ, sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ ni ọrọ̀ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè yóò wá.
Then shall you see, and fear, and be amazed in your heart; for the wealth of the sea shall come round to you, and of nations and peoples; and herds of camels shall come to you,
6 Ọ̀wọ́ ìbákasẹ yóò bo gbogbo ilẹ̀ rẹ, àwọn ọ̀dọ́ ìbákasẹ Midiani àti Efani. Àti gbogbo wọn láti Ṣeba yóò wá, wọn yóò mú wúrà àti tùràrí lọ́wọ́ tí wọn yóò sì máa kéde ìyìn Olúwa.
and the camels of Madiam and Gaepha shall cover you: all from Saba shall come bearing gold, and shall bring frankincense, and they shall publish the salvation of the Lord.
7 Gbogbo agbo ẹran ìlú Kedari ni a ó kójọ sọ́dọ̀ rẹ, àwọn àgbò ti Nebaioti yóò sìn ọ́; wọn yóò jẹ́ ọrẹ ìtẹ́wọ́gbà lórí i pẹpẹ mi, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni n ó sì ṣe tẹmpili ògo mi lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́.
And all the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered, and the rams of Nabaeoth shall come; and acceptable sacrifices shall be offered on my altar, and my house of prayer shall be glorified.
8 “Ta ni àwọn wọ̀nyí tí ń fò lọ bí i kurukuru, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn àdàbà sí ìtẹ́ wọn?
Who are these [that] fly as clouds, and as doves with young ones to me?
9 Lóòtítọ́ àwọn erékùṣù bojú wò mí; ní ìṣíwájú ni àwọn ọkọ̀ ojú omi Tarṣiṣi; mú àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀ wá láti ọ̀nà jíjìn, pẹ̀lú fàdákà àti wúrà wọn, fún ti ọlá Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli, nítorí òun ti fi ohun dídára ṣe ó lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́.
The isles have waited for me, and the ships of Tharsis amongst the first, to bring your children from afar, and their silver and their gold with them, and [that] for the sake of the holy name of the Lord, and because the Holy One of Israel is glorified.
10 “Àwọn àjèjì yóò tún ògiri rẹ mọ àwọn ọba wọn yóò sì sìn ọ́. Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ní ìbínú ni mo lù ọ́, ní àánú èmi yóò ṣe inú rere sí ọ.
And strangers shall build your walls, and their kings shall wait upon you: for by reason of my wrath I struck you, and by reason of mercy I loved you.
11 Gbogbo ẹnu-bodè rẹ ni yóò wà ní ṣíṣí sílẹ̀, a kì yóò tì wọ́n ní ọ̀sán àti ní òru, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwọn ọkùnrin yóò le è kó ọrọ̀ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè wá tí àwọn ọba wọn yóò ṣáájú ní ọ̀wọ̀ọ̀wọ́ ìṣẹ́gun.
And your gates shall be opened continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; to bring in to you the power of the Gentiles, and their kings as captives.
12 Nítorí pé orílẹ̀-èdè tàbí ilẹ̀ ọba tí kì yóò sìn ọ́ ni yóò parun; pátápátá ni yóò sì dahoro.
For the nations and the kings which will not serve you shall perish; and those nations shall be made utterly desolate.
13 “Ògo Lebanoni yóò wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ, igi junifa, firi àti sípírẹ́ṣì papọ̀, láti bu ọlá fún ilé ìsìn mi; àti pé èmi yóò sì ṣe ibi ẹsẹ̀ mi lógo.
And the glory of Libanus shall come to you, with the cypress, and pine, and cedar together, to glorify my holy place.
14 Àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin àwọn apọ́nilójú rẹ yóò wá foríbalẹ̀ fún ọ; gbogbo àwọn tí ó ti kẹ́gàn rẹ ni wọn yóò tẹríba níwájú rẹ wọn yóò sì pè ọ́ ní ìlú Olúwa, Sioni ti Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli.
And the sons of them that afflicted you, and of them that provoked you, shall come to you in fear; and you shall be called Sion, the city of the Holy One of Israel.
15 “Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé a ti kórìíra rẹ, a sì kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀, láìsí ẹnìkan tí ó ń gba ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ kọjá, Èmi yóò ṣe ọ́ ní ìṣògo ayérayé àti ayọ̀ àtìrandíran.
Because you has become desolate and hated, and there was no helper, therefore I will make you a perpetual gladness, a joy of many generations.
16 Ìwọ yóò mu wàrà gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè a ó sì fun ọ́ ni ọmú àwọn ọba. Nígbà náà ni ìwọ yóò mọ̀ pé, Èmi Olúwa, èmi ni Olùgbàlà rẹ, Olùdáǹdè rẹ, Alágbára ti Jakọbu.
And you shall suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shall eat the wealth of kings: and shall know that I am the Lord that saves you and delivers you, the Holy One of Israel.
17 Dípò idẹ, èmi ó mú wúrà wá fún ọ, dípò fàdákà èmi ó mú irin wá. Dípò igi yóò mú idẹ wá fún ọ, àti irin dípò òkúta. Èmi yóò fi àlàáfíà ṣe àwọn ìjòyè rẹ àti òdodo gẹ́gẹ́ bí alákòóso rẹ.
And for brass I will bring you gold, and for iron I will bring you silver, and instead of wood I will bring you brass, and instead of stones, iron; and I will make your princes peaceful, and your overseers righteous.
18 A kì yóò gbọ́ nípa rògbòdìyàn ní ilẹ̀ rẹ mọ́, tàbí ìdahoro àti ìparun nínú agbègbè rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ yóò pe ògiri rẹ ní ìgbàlà àti àwọn ẹnu-bodè rẹ ní ìyìn.
And injustice shall no more be heard in your land, nor destruction nor misery in your coasts; but your walls shall be called Salvation, and your gates Sculptured Work.
19 Òòrùn kì yóò sì jẹ́ ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ ní ọ̀sán mọ́, tàbí kí ìtànṣán òṣùpá tún ràn sí ọ mọ́, nítorí Olúwa ni yóò jẹ́ ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ ayérayé, àti Ọlọ́run rẹ yóò jẹ́ ògo rẹ.
And you shall no more have the sun for a light by day, nor shall the rising of the moon lighten your night; but the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and God your glory.
20 Òòrùn rẹ kì yóò sì wọ̀ mọ́, àti òṣùpá rẹ kì yóò sì wọ òòkùn mọ́; Olúwa ni yóò jẹ́ ìmọ́lẹ̀ ayérayé rẹ, àti àwọn ọjọ́ arò rẹ yóò sì dópin.
For the sun shall no more set, nor shall the moon be eclipsed; for the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be completed.
21 Lẹ́yìn náà ni gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn rẹ yóò di òdodo àwọn ni yóò sì jogún ilẹ̀ náà títí ayé. Àwọn ni irúgbìn tí mo ti gbìn, iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ mi, láti fi ọláńlá mi hàn.
Your people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, preserving that which they have planted, [even] the works of their hands, for glory.
22 Èyí tí ó kéré jù nínú yín yóò di ẹgbẹ̀rún kan, èyí tí ó kéré yóò di orílẹ̀-èdè ńlá. Èmi ni Olúwa; ní àkókò rẹ̀, Èmi yóò ṣe èyí kánkán.”
The little one shall become thousands, and the least a great nation; I the Lord will gather them in [due] time.
