< Isaiah 57 >

1 Olódodo ṣègbé kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó rò ó lọ́kàn ara rẹ̀; a mú àwọn ẹni mímọ́ lọ, kò sì ṣí ẹni tó yé pé a ti mú àwọn olódodo lọ láti yọ wọ́n kúrò nínú ibi.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and pious men are taken away, without one considering that before the evil the righteous is taken away.
2 Gbogbo àwọn tí ń rìn déédé ń wọ inú àlàáfíà; wọ́n rí ìsinmi bí wọ́n ti ń sùn nínú ikú.
He shall come [to his fathers] in peace: they shall repose in their resting-place, every one that walketh in his uprightness.
3 “Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ súnmọ́ ìhìn-ín, ẹ̀yin ọmọ aláfọ̀ṣẹ, ẹ̀yin irú-ọmọ panṣágà àti àgbèrè!
But ye draw near hither, sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
4 Ta ni ó fi ń ṣẹlẹ́yà? Ta ni o ń yọ ṣùtì sí tí o sì yọ ahọ́n síta? Ẹ̀yin kì í ha ṣe ọlọ̀tẹ̀ ènìyàn bí, àti ìran àwọn òpùrọ́?
Over whom will you make yourselves merry? concerning whom will you open wide your mouth, stretch out your tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5 Ẹ gbinájẹ fún ìṣekúṣe láàrín igi óákù àti lábẹ́ gbogbo igi tí ń gbilẹ̀; ẹ fi àwọn ọmọ yín rú ẹbọ nínú kòtò jíjìn àti lábẹ́ àwọn pàlàpálá òkúta.
That are inflamed after the idols under every green tree; that slaughter the children in the valleys under the clefts of the rocks?
6 Àwọn ère tí ó wà ní àárín òkúta dídán wọ́n n nì, nínú kòtò jíjìn ni ìpín in yín; àwọ̀n ni ìpín in yín. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, sí wọn ni ẹ ti ta ọrẹ ohun mímu yín sílẹ̀ àti láti ta ọrẹ ìyẹ̀fun. Nítorí àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ǹjẹ́ ó yẹ kí n dáwọ́ dúró?
Of the smooth stones of the valley is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured out a drink-offering, hast thou offered a meat-offering. Shall I for these things repent me [of the evil]?
7 Ìwọ ti ṣe ibùsùn rẹ lórí òkè gíga tí ó rẹwà; níbẹ̀ ni ẹ lọ láti lọ ṣe ìrúbọ yín.
Upon a high and lofty mountain hast thou placed thy couch: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8 Lẹ́yìn àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn yín àti òpó ìlẹ̀kùn yín níbẹ̀ ni ẹ fi àwọn àmì òrìṣà yín sí. Ní kíkọ̀ mí sílẹ̀, ẹ ṣí ibùsùn yín sílẹ̀, ẹ gun orí rẹ̀ lọ, ẹ sì ṣí i sílẹ̀ gbagada; ẹ ṣe àdéhùn pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ẹ fẹ́ràn ibùsùn wọn, ẹ̀yin sì ń wo ìhòhò wọn.
And behind the doors and the door-posts hast thou placed thy [mark of] remembrance; for [departing] from me, thou hast laid open, and art gone up, —hast enlarged thy couch, and made thee a covenant with some of them; thou hast loved their lying with thee, hast selected a fitting place.
9 Ẹ̀yin lọ sí Moleki pẹ̀lú òróró olifi ẹ sì fi kún òórùn dídùn yín. Ẹ rán ikọ̀ yín lọ jìnnà réré; ẹ sọ̀kalẹ̀ sí ibojì pẹ̀lú! (Sheol h7585)
And thou didst show thyself unto the king without ointment, and thou didst multiply thy perfumes, and thou didst send out thy messengers even into the far-off distance, and didst debase thyself even down to the nether world. (Sheol h7585)
10 Àwọn ọ̀nà yín gbogbo ti mú àárẹ̀ ba á yín, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ kò ní sọ pé, ‘Kò sí ìrètí mọ́?’ Ẹ rí okun kún agbára yín, nípa bẹ́ẹ̀ òòyì kò kọ́ ọ yín.
Though thou art wearied by the length of thy way, yet saidst thou not, It is useless: thou hadst found enough for thy hand; therefore didst thou feel no care.
11 “Ta ni ó ń pá yín láyà tí ń bà yín lẹ́rù tí ẹ fi ń ṣèké sí mi, àti tí ẹ̀yin kò fi rántí mi tàbí kí ẹ rò yí nínú ọkàn yín? Ǹjẹ́ kì í ṣe nítorí dídákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́ mi fún ìgbà pípẹ́ tí ẹ̀yin kò fi bẹ̀rù mi?
And of whom hadst thou dread or fear, that thou becamest false, and didst not remember me, nor lay it to thy heart? is it not so? I kept silence, and this from earliest times, and therefore thou fearest me not!
12 Èmi yóò ṣí òdodo yín páyà àti iṣẹ́ yín, wọn kì yóò sì ṣe yín ní àǹfààní.
I, I ever tell thee [what deeds would be] thy righteousness; but thy works—these indeed will not profit thee.
13 Nígbà tí ẹ bá kígbe fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ ẹ jẹ́ kí àkójọ àwọn ère yín gbà yín! Atẹ́gùn yóò gbá gbogbo wọn lọ, èémí lásán làsàn ni yóò gbá wọn lọ. Ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ó bá fi mí ṣe ààbò rẹ̀ ni yóò jogún ilẹ̀ náà yóò sì jogún òkè mímọ́ mi.”
When thou criest, let thy masses of idols deliver thee; but all of them will the wind carry away, a breath will take them off; but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.
14 A ó sì sọ wí pé: “Tún mọ, tún mọ, tún ọ̀nà náà ṣe! Ẹ mú àwọn ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ kúrò ní ọ̀nà àwọn ènìyàn mi.”
And he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, clear out the way, lift up every stumbling block out of the way of my people.
15 Nítorí èyí ni ohun tí Ẹni gíga àti ọlọ́lá jùlọ wí ẹni tí ó wà títí láé, tí orúkọ rẹ̀ jẹ́ mímọ́: “Mo ń gbé ní ibi gíga àti ibi mímọ́, ṣùgbọ́n pẹ̀lú ẹni n nì tí ó ní ìròbìnújẹ́ àti ẹ̀mí ìrẹ̀lẹ̀, láti sọ ẹ̀mí onírẹ̀lẹ̀ náà jí àti láti sọ ẹ̀mí oníròbìnújẹ́ n nì jí.
For thus hath said the high and lofty One, who inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy, In the high and holy place do I dwell, yet also with the contrite and humble of spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16 Èmi kì yóò fẹ̀sùn kan ni títí láé, tàbí kí n máa bínú sá á, nítorí nígbà náà ni ọkàn ènìyàn yóò rẹ̀wẹ̀sì níwájú mi èémí ènìyàn tí mo ti dá.
For not to eternity will I contend, neither will I be for ever wroth: when the spirit from before me is overwhelmed, and the souls which I have made.
17 Inú bí mi nítorí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ọ̀kánjúwà rẹ̀; mo fìyà jẹ ẹ́, mo sì fojú mi pamọ́ ní ìbínú; síbẹ̀, ó tẹ̀síwájú nínú tinú-mi-ni n ó ṣe ọ̀nà rẹ̀.
Because of the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and I smote him, hiding my face, and was wroth: while he went on frowardly in the way of his own heart.
18 Èmi ti rí ọ̀nà rẹ̀ gbogbo, ṣùgbọ́n Èmi yóò wò ó sàn; Èmi yóò tọ́ ọ ṣọ́nà n ó sì mú ìtùnú tọ̀ ọ́ wá,

19 ní dídá ìyìn sí ètè àwọn tí ń ṣọ̀fọ̀ ní Israẹli. Àlàáfíà, àlàáfíà fún àwọn tí ó wà lókèèrè àti nítòsí,” ni Olúwa wí, “Àti pé, Èmi yóò wo wọ́n sàn.”
Creating the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him that is afar off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.
20 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ìkà dàbí i ríru Òkun tí kò le è sinmi, tí ìgbì rẹ̀ ń rú pẹ̀tẹ̀pẹ́tẹ̀ àti ẹrọ̀fọ̀ sókè.
But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can never be at rest, but its waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 “Kò sí àlàáfíà fún àwọn ìkà,” ni Ọlọ́run mi wí.
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
