< Isaiah 51 >
1 “Tẹ́tí sí mi, ẹ̀yin tí ó ń lépa òdodo àti ẹ̀yin tí ń wá Olúwa. Wo àpáta, nínú èyí tí a ti gé yín jáde àti ihò òkúta níbi tí a ti gbẹ́ yín jáde;
Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.
2 ẹ wo Abrahamu baba yín, àti Sara, ẹni tó bí i yín. Nígbà tí mo pè é, òun nìkan ni, Èmi sì bùkún un, mo sì ṣọ́ ọ di ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀.
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah [that] bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
3 Dájúdájú, Olúwa yóò tu Sioni nínú yóò sì bojú àánú wo gbogbo ahoro rẹ̀; Òun yóò sọ gbogbo aṣálẹ̀ rẹ̀ di Edeni, àti aṣálẹ̀ rẹ̀ yóò rí bí ọgbà Olúwa. Ayọ̀ àti inú dídùn ni a ó rí nínú rẹ̀, ọpẹ́ àti ariwo orín kíkọ.
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
4 “Tẹ́tí sí mi, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi; gbọ́ tèmi, ẹ̀yin orílẹ̀-èdè mi. Òfin yóò ti ọ̀dọ̀ mi jáde wá; ìdájọ́ mi yóò di ìmọ́lẹ̀ sí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè.
Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
5 Òdodo mi ń bọ̀ wá kíkankíkan, ìgbàlà mi ń bọ̀ lójú ọ̀nà, àti apá mi yóò sì mú ìdájọ́ wá sí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè. Àwọn erékùṣù yóò wò mí wọn yóò sì dúró ní ìrètí fún apá mi.
My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6 Gbé ojú rẹ sókè sí àwọn ọ̀run, wo ilẹ̀ ní ìsàlẹ̀ ilẹ̀; àwọn ọ̀run yóò pòórá bí èéfín, ilẹ̀ yóò sì gbó bí ẹ̀wù àwọn olùgbé inú rẹ̀ yóò kú gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn eṣinṣin. Ṣùgbọ́n ìgbàlà mi yóò wà títí láé, òdodo mi kì yóò yẹ̀ láé.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 “Ẹ gbọ́ mi, ẹ̀yin tí ó mọ ohun òtítọ́, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn tí ó ní òfin mi ní àyà yín. Ẹ má ṣe bẹ̀rù ẹ̀gàn àwọn ènìyàn tàbí kí ẹ̀rù èébú wọn já a yín láyà.
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8 Nítorí kòkòrò yóò mú wọn lá bí aṣọ, ìdin yóò sì mú wọn jẹ bí ẹ̀gbọ̀n òwú. Ṣùgbọ́n òdodo mi yóò wà títí ayérayé, àti ìgbàlà mi láti ìrandíran.”
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
9 Dìde, dìde! Kí o sì wọ ara rẹ ní agbára ìwọ apá Olúwa; dìde gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti ọjọ́ ìgbà n nì, àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti ìran àtijọ́. Ìwọ kọ́ lo ké Rahabu sí wẹ́wẹ́ tí o sì fa ẹ̀mí búburú ya pẹ́rẹpẹ̀rẹ?
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. [Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab, [and] wounded the dragon?
10 Ìwọ kọ́ ni ó gbẹ omi Òkun bí àti àwọn omi inú ọ̀gbun, tí o sì ṣe ọ̀nà nínú ìsàlẹ̀ Òkun tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwọn ẹni ìràpadà yóò fi le là á kọjá?
[Art] thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
11 Àwọn ẹni ìràpadà Olúwa yóò padà wá. Wọn yóò wọ Sioni wá pẹ̀lú orin kíkọ; ayọ̀ ayérayé ni yóò sì bo orí wọn. Ayọ̀ àti inú dídùn yóò sì bà lé wọn ìbànújẹ́ àti ìtìjú yóò sì sá kúrò.
Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy [shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; [and] sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
12 “Èmi, àní Èmi, èmi ni ẹni tí ó tù ọ́ nínú. Ta ni ọ́ tí o fi ń bẹ̀rù ènìyàn ẹlẹ́ran ara, àti ọmọ ènìyàn, tí ó jẹ́ koríko lásán,
I, [even] I, [am] he that comforteth you: who [art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man [that] shall die, and of the son of man [which] shall be made [as] grass;
13 tí ìwọ sì gbàgbé Olúwa ẹlẹ́dàá rẹ, ẹni tí ó ta àwọn ọ̀run tí ó sì fi ìpìlẹ̀ ayé sọlẹ̀, tí ẹ sì ń gbé nínú ìpayà lójoojúmọ́ nítorí ìbínú àwọn aninilára, tí wọ́n sì gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ìpanirun? Nítorí ibo ni ìbínú àwọn aninilára gbé wà?
And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where [is] the fury of the oppressor?
14 Àwọn ẹlẹ́wọ̀n tí ń ṣojo la ó dá sílẹ̀ ní àìpẹ́ jọjọ wọn kò ní kú sínú túbú wọn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kò ní ṣe aláìní àkàrà.
The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
15 Nítorí Èmi ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, tí ó ń ru Òkun sókè tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ìgbì rẹ̀ fi ń pariwo Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ni orúkọ rẹ̀.
But I [am] the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
16 Mo ti fi ọ̀rọ̀ mi sí ẹnu rẹ mo sì ti fi òjìji ọwọ́ mi bò ọ́, Èmi tí mo tẹ́ àwọn ọ̀run sí ààyè rẹ̀, ẹni tí ó fi ìpìlẹ̀ ilẹ̀ ayé lélẹ̀, àti ẹni tí ó sọ fún Sioni pé, ‘Ẹ̀yin ni ènìyàn mi.’”
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou [art] my people.
17 Jí, jí! Gbéra nílẹ̀ ìwọ Jerusalẹmu, ìwọ tí o ti mu láti ọwọ́ Olúwa ago ìbínú rẹ̀, ìwọ tí o ti fà á mu dé gẹ̀dẹ̀gẹ́dẹ̀ tí ó n mú kí ènìyàn ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n.
Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, [and] wrung [them] out.
18 Nínú gbogbo ọmọ tí ó bí kò sí ọ̀kankan tí ó lè tọ́ ọ ṣọ́nà nínú gbogbo ọmọ tí ó tọ́ kò sí èyí tí ó le fà á lọ́wọ́.
[There is] none to guide her among all the sons [whom] she hath brought forth; neither [is there any] that taketh her by the hand of all the sons [that] she hath brought up.
19 Àjálù ìlọ́po ìlọ́po yìí ti dé bá ọ— ta ni yóò tù ọ́ nínú? Ìparun àti ìdahoro, ìyàn àti idà ta ni yó pẹ̀tù sí ọ lọ́kàn?
These two [things] are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
20 Àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ ti dákú; wọ́n sùn sí oríta gbogbo òpópónà, gẹ́gẹ́ bí etu tí a dé mọ́nú àwọ̀n. Ìbínú Olúwa ti kún inú wọn fọ́fọ́ àti ìbáwí Ọlọ́run yín.
Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
21 Nítorí náà ẹ gbọ́ èyí, ẹ̀yin tí a ti ṣẹ́ níṣẹ̀ẹ́, tí ọtí ń pa, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe fún wáìnì.
Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
22 Ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè yín wí nìyìí, Ọlọ́run rẹ, ẹni tí ó ń pa ènìyàn rẹ̀ mọ́, “Kíyèsi i, mo ti mú un kúrò ní ọwọ́ rẹ ago tí ó mú ọ ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n; láti inú ago náà, ẹ̀kún ìbínú mi, ni ìwọ kì yóò mu mọ́.
Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God [that] pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, [even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
23 Èmi yóò fi lé àwọn apọ́nilójú rẹ lọ́wọ́, àwọn tí ó wí fún ọ pé, ‘Dọ̀bálẹ̀, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí a ó fi máa rìn lórí rẹ.’ Ìwọ náà ṣe ẹ̀yìn rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ilẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí òpópónà láti máa rìn lórí i rẹ̀.”
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
