< Isaiah 43 >
1 Ṣùgbọ́n ní ìsinsin yìí, ohun tí Olúwa wí nìyìí, ẹni tí ó dá ọ, ìwọ Jakọbu, ẹni tí ó mọ ọ́, ìwọ Israẹli: “Má bẹ̀rù, nítorí Èmi ti dá ọ nídè; Èmi ti pè ọ́ ní orúkọ; tèmi ni ìwọ ṣe.
But now this is what Yahweh says, he who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: “Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine.
2 Nígbà tí ìwọ bá ń la omi kọjá, Èmi yóò wà pẹ̀lú rẹ; àti nígbà tí ìwọ bá ń la odò kọjá wọn kì yóò bò ọ́ mọ́lẹ̀. Nígbà tí ìwọ bá la iná kọjá, kò ní jó ọ; ahọ́n iná kò ní jó ọ lára.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned, and the flames will not destroy you.
3 Nítorí Èmi ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli Olùgbàlà rẹ; Èmi fi Ejibiti ṣe ìràpadà rẹ, Kuṣi àti Seba dípò rẹ.
For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
4 Nítorí pé o ṣe iyebíye àti ọ̀wọ́n níwájú mi, àti nítorí pé mo fẹ́ràn rẹ, Èmi yóò fi ènìyàn rọ́pò fún ọ, àti ènìyàn dípò ẹ̀mí rẹ.
Since you are precious and special in my sight, I love you; therefore I will give people in exchange for you, and other peoples in exchange for your life.
5 Má bẹ̀rù nítorí èmi wà pẹ̀lú rẹ; Èmi yóò mú àwọn ọmọ rẹ láti ìlà-oòrùn wá èmi ó sì kó ọ jọ láti ìwọ̀-oòrùn.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.
6 Èmi yóò sọ fún àríwá pé, ‘Fi wọ́n sílẹ̀!’ Àti fún gúúsù, ‘Má ṣe dá wọn dúró.’ Mú àwọn ọmọkùnrin mi láti ọ̀nà jíjìn wá àti àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọbìnrin mi láti ìpẹ̀kun ilẹ̀ ayé—
I will say to the north, 'Hand them over;' and to the south, 'Do not hold any back;' Bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the remote regions of the earth,
7 ẹnikẹ́ni tí a ń pe orúkọ mi mọ́, tí mo dá fún ògo mi, tí mo mọ̀ àti tí mo ṣe.”
everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.
8 Sin àwọn tí ó ní ojú ṣùgbọ́n tí wọ́n fọ́jú jáde, tí wọ́n ní etí ṣùgbọ́n tí wọn dití.
Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, and the deaf, even though they have ears.
9 Gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè kó ra wọn jọ àwọn ènìyàn sì kó ra wọn papọ̀. Ta ni nínú wọn tó sọ àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ yìí tí ó sì kéde fún wa àwọn nǹkan ti tẹ́lẹ̀? Jẹ́ kí wọ́n mú àwọn ẹlẹ́rìí wọn wọlé wá láti fihàn pé wọ́n tọ̀nà tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwọn mìíràn yóò gbọ́, tí wọn yóò sọ pé, “Òtítọ́ ni.”
All the nations gather together, and the peoples assemble. Who among them could have declared this and announced to us earlier events? Let them bring their witnesses to prove themselves right, let them listen and affirm, 'It is true.'
10 “Ẹ̀yin ni ẹlẹ́rìí mi,” ni Olúwa wí, “Àti ìránṣẹ́ mi tí èmi ti yàn, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ẹ̀yin yóò fi mọ̀ àti tí ẹ̀yin ó fi gbà mí gbọ́ tí yóò sì yé e yín pé èmi ni ẹni náà. Ṣáájú mi kò sí ọlọ́run tí a dá, tàbí a ó wa rí òmíràn lẹ́yìn mi.
You are my witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe in me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no god formed, and there will be none after me.
11 Èmi, àní Èmi, Èmi ni Olúwa, yàtọ̀ sí èmi, kò sí olùgbàlà mìíràn.
I, I am Yahweh, and there is no savior but me.
12 Èmi ti fihàn, mo gbàlà mo sì ti kéde Èmi, kì í sì í ṣe àwọn àjèjì òrìṣà láàrín yín. Ẹ̀yin ni ẹlẹ́rìí mi,” ni Olúwa wí, “Pé Èmi ni Ọlọ́run.
I have declared, saved, and proclaimed, and there is no other god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “I am God.
13 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, àti láti ayérayé Èmi ni ẹni náà. Kò sí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó lè gbà kúrò lọ́wọ́ mi. Nígbà tí mo bá ṣe nǹkan, ta ni ó lè yí i padà?”
From this day on I am he, and no one can rescue anyone from my hand. I act, and who can turn it back?”
14 Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa wí, olùràpadà rẹ, Ẹni Mímọ́ ti Israẹli: “Nítorí rẹ Èmi yóò ránṣẹ́ sí Babeli láti mú wọn sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìsáǹsá, gbogbo ará Babeli, nínú ọkọ̀ ojú omi nínú èyí tí wọ́n fi ń ṣe ìgbéraga.
This is what Yahweh says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I send to Babylon and lead them all down as fugitives, turning the Babylonians' expressions of joy into songs of lamentation.
15 Èmi ni Olúwa, Ẹni Mímọ́ rẹ, Ẹlẹ́dàá Israẹli, ọba rẹ.”
I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”
16 Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa wí, Ẹni náà tí ó la ọ̀nà nínú Òkun, ipa ọ̀nà láàrín alagbalúgbú omi,
This is what Yahweh says (who opened a way through the sea and a path in the mighty waters,
17 ẹni tí ó wọ́ àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ àti ẹṣin jáde, àwọn jagunjagun àti ohun ìjà papọ̀, wọ́n sì sùn síbẹ̀, láìní lè dìde mọ́, wọ́n kú pirá bí òwú-fìtílà:
who led out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty host. They fell down together; they will never rise again; they are extinguished, quenched like a burning wick.)
18 “Gbàgbé àwọn ohun àtẹ̀yìnwá; má ṣe gbé nínú ohun àtijọ́.
“Do not think about these former things, nor consider the things of long ago.
19 Wò ó, Èmi ń ṣe ohun tuntun! Nísinsin yìí, ó ti yọ sókè; àbí o kò rí i bí? Èmi ń ṣe ọ̀nà kan nínú aṣálẹ̀ àti odò nínú ilẹ̀ ṣíṣá.
Look, I am about to do a new thing; now it begins to happen; do you not perceive it? I will make a road in the desert and streams of water in the wilderness.
20 Àwọn ẹhànnà ẹranko bọ̀wọ̀ fún mi, àwọn ajáko àti àwọn òwìwí, nítorí pé mo pèsè omi nínú aṣálẹ̀ àti odò nínú ilẹ̀ sísá, láti fi ohun mímu fún àwọn ènìyàn mi, àyànfẹ́ mi,
The wild animals of the field will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give water in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, for my chosen people to drink,
21 àwọn ènìyàn tí mo dá fún ara mi kí wọn kí ó lè kéde ìyìn mi.
this people whom I formed for myself, that they might recount my praises.
22 “Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ ìwọ kò tí ì ké pè mí, ìwọ Jakọbu, àárẹ̀ kò tí ì mú ọ nítorí mi ìwọ Israẹli.
But you have not called on me, Jacob; you have become tired of me, Israel.
23 Ìwọ kò tí ì mú àgùntàn wá fún mi fún ẹbọ sísun, tàbí kí o bọ̀wọ̀ fún mi pẹ̀lú ẹbọ rẹ. Èmi kò tí ì wàhálà rẹ pẹ̀lú ọrẹ ìyẹ̀fun tàbí kí n dààmú rẹ pẹ̀lú ìbéèrè fún tùràrí.
You have not brought me any of your sheep as burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings, nor wearied you with demands for incense.
24 Ìwọ kò tí ì ra kalamusi olóòórùn dídùn fún mi, tàbí kí o da ọ̀rá ẹbọ rẹ bò mí. Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ ti wàhálà mi pẹ̀lú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín ẹ sì ti dààmú mi pẹ̀lú àìṣedéédéé yín.
You have bought me no sweet-smelling cane with money, neither have you poured out to me the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins, you have wearied me with your evil deeds.
25 “Èmi, àní Èmi, Èmi ni ẹni tí ó wẹ àwọn àìṣedéédéé rẹ nù, nítorí èmi fún ara mi, tí n kò sì rántí àwọn ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ mọ́.
I, yes, I, am he who blots out your offenses for my own sake; and I will not call to mind your sins any longer.
26 Bojú wo ẹ̀yìn rẹ fún mi, jẹ́ kí a jọ ṣe àríyànjiyàn ọ̀rọ̀ náà papọ̀; ro ẹjọ́ láti fihàn pé o kò lẹ́sẹ̀ lọ́rùn.
Remind me of what happened. Let us debate together; present your cause, that you may be proved innocent.
27 Baba yín àkọ́kọ́ dẹ́ṣẹ̀; àwọn agbẹnusọ yín ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí mi.
Your first father sinned, and your leaders have transgressed against me.
28 Nítorí náà, èmi ti sọ àwọn olórí ibi mímọ́ náà di àìmọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi ti fi Jakọbu fún ègún àti Israẹli fún ẹ̀gàn.
Therefore I will defile the holy officials; I will hand Jacob over to complete destruction, and Israel to abusive humiliation.”
