< Isaiah 39 >

1 Ní àkókò náà ni Merodaki-Baladani ọmọ Baladani ọba Babeli fi ìwé àti ẹ̀bùn ránṣẹ́ sí Hesekiah, nítorí ó gbọ́ pé ó ṣàìsàn ó sì gbádùn.
At that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters with an offering to Hezekiah, because he had news that Hezekiah had been ill, and was well again.
2 Hesekiah gba àwọn ikọ̀ yìí tayọ̀tayọ̀, ó sì fi àwọn nǹkan tí ó wà nínú yàrá ìkẹ́rù sí mọ́ hàn wọ́n—fàdákà, wúrà, ohun olóòórùn dídùn, òróró dídára, gbogbo nǹkan ogun rẹ̀ àti ohun gbogbo tí ó wà nínú ìṣúra rẹ̀ kò sí ohunkóhun tí ó wà nínú ààfin rẹ̀ tàbí ní ìjọba rẹ̀ tí Hesekiah kò fihàn wọ́n.
And Hezekiah was glad at their coming, and let them see all his store of wealth, the silver and the gold and the spices and the oil, and all the house of his arms, and everything there was in his stores: there was nothing in all his house or his kingdom which he did not let them see.
3 Lẹ́yìn náà wòlíì Isaiah lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ Hesekiah ọba ó sì béèrè pé, “Kí ni àwọn ènìyàn wọ̀nyí wí, níbo ni wọ́n sì ti wá?” “Láti ilẹ̀ jíjìnnà,” ni èsì Hesekiah. “Wọ́n wá sọ́dọ̀ mi láti Babeli.”
Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, What did these men say, and where did they come from? And Hezekiah said, They came from a far country, even from Babylon.
4 Wòlíì náà sì béèrè pé, “Kí ni wọ́n rí nínú ààfin rẹ?” Hesekiah si dáhùn pe, “Wọ́n rí gbogbo ohun tí ó wà nínú ààfin mi. Kò sí ohun kankan nínú ìṣúra mi tí èmi kò fihàn wọ́n.”
And he said, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah said in answer, They saw everything in my house: there is nothing among my stores which I did not let them see.
5 Lẹ́yìn náà ni Isaiah sọ fún Hesekiah pé, “Gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun.
Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Give ear to the word of the Lord of armies:
6 Àsìkò ń bọ̀ nítòótọ́ nígbà tí gbogbo ohun tí ó wà nínú ààfin rẹ, àti ohun gbogbo tí àwọn baba rẹ ti kójọ títí di ọjọ́ òní yóò di kíkó lọ sí Babeli. Ohun kankan kò ní ṣẹ́kù ni Olúwa wí.
Truly, the days are coming when everything in your house, and whatever your fathers have put in store till this day, will be taken away to Babylon: all will be gone.
7 Àti díẹ̀ nínú àwọn àrọ́mọdọ́mọ rẹ, àwọn ẹ̀jẹ̀ àti ẹran-ara rẹ tí a ó bí fún ọ ni a ó kó lọ, wọn yóò sì di ìwẹ̀fà nínú ààfin ọba Babeli.”
And your sons, even your offspring, will they take away to be unsexed servants in the house of the king of Babylon.
8 Hesekiah wí fún Isaiah pé, “Rere ni ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí ìwọ sọ.” Nítorí ó rò nínú ara rẹ̀ pé, “Àlàáfíà àti ààbò yóò wà ní ìgbà ayé tèmi.”
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which you have said. And he said in his heart, There will be peace and quiet in my days.
