< Isaiah 38 >
1 Ní ọjọ́ náà ni Hesekiah ṣe àìsàn dé ojú ikú. Wòlíì Isaiah ọmọ Amosi sì lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì wí pé, “Ohun tí Olúwa wí nìyìí: Palẹ̀ ilé è rẹ mọ́, bí ó ti yẹ nítorí pé ìwọ yóò kú; ìwọ kì yóò dìde àìsàn yìí.”
About that time was Hezekiah sicke vnto the death, and the Prophet Isaiah sonne of Amoz came vnto him, and sayd vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt dye, and not liue.
2 Hesekiah yí ojú u rẹ̀ sí ara ògiri, ó sì gba àdúrà sí Olúwa,
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord,
3 “Rántí, Ìwọ Olúwa, bí mo ti rìn pẹ̀lú òtítọ́ níwájú rẹ, àti bí mo ti fi ọkàn dídúró ṣinṣin ṣe ohun tí ó dára ní ojú ù rẹ.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Hesekiah sì sọkún kíkorò.
And saide, I beseeche thee, Lord, remember nowe howe I haue walked before thee in trueth, and with a perfite heart, and haue done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore.
4 Lẹ́yìn náà ni ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ Isaiah wá pé,
Then came the worde of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
5 “Lọ kí o sì sọ fún Hesekiah pé, ‘Ohun tí Olúwa wí nìyìí, Ọlọ́run Dafidi baba rẹ sọ pé, Èmi ti gbọ́ àdúrà rẹ mo sì ti rí omijé rẹ, Èmi yóò fi ọdún mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún kún ọjọ́ ayé rẹ.
Goe, and say vnto Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord God of Dauid thy father, I haue heard thy prayer, and seene thy teares: behold, I will adde vnto thy dayes fifteene yeeres.
6 Èmi yóò sì gba ìwọ àti ìlú yìí sílẹ̀ kúrò lọ́wọ́ ọba Asiria. Èmi yóò sì dáàbò bo ìlú yìí.
And I will deliuer thee out of the hand of the King of Asshur, and this citie: for I will defende this citie.
7 “‘Èyí yìí ni àmì tí Olúwa fún ọ láti fihàn wí pé Olúwa yóò mú ìpinnu rẹ̀ ṣẹ.
And this signe shalt thou haue of ye Lord, that ye Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken,
8 Èmi yóò mú òjìji oòrùn kí ó padà sẹ́yìn ní ìṣísẹ̀ mẹ́wàá nínú èyí tí ó fi sọ̀kalẹ̀ ní ibi àtẹ̀gùn ti Ahasi.’” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni oòrùn padà sẹ́yìn ní ìṣísẹ̀ mẹ́wàá sí ibi tí ó ti dé tẹ́lẹ̀.
Beholde, I will bring againe the shadowe of the degrees (whereby it is gone downe in the diall of Ahaz by the sunne) ten degrees backeward: so the sunne returned by tenne degrees, by the which degrees it was gone downe.
9 Ìwé tí Hesekiah ọba Juda kọ lẹ́yìn àìsàn rẹ̀ nígbà tí ó ti gbádùn tán.
The writing of Hezekiah King of Iudah, when he had bene sicke, and was recouered of his sickenesse.
10 Èmi wí pé, “Ní àárín gbùngbùn ọjọ́ ayé mi èmi ó ha kọjá lọ ní ibodè ikú kí a sì dùn mí ní àwọn ọdún mi tí ó ṣẹ́kù?” (Sheol )
I saide in the cutting off of my dayes, I shall goe to the gates of the graue: I am depriued of the residue of my yeeres. (Sheol )
11 Èmi wí pé, “Èmi kì yóò lè tún rí Olúwa mọ́, àní Olúwa, ní ilẹ̀ àwọn alààyè; èmi kì yóò lè síjú wo ọmọ ènìyàn mọ́, tàbí kí n wà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó sì ń gbe orílẹ̀ ayé báyìí.
I said, I shall not see the Lord, euen the Lord in the land of the liuing: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.
12 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àgọ́ olùṣọ́-àgùntàn, ilé mi ni a ti wó lulẹ̀ tí a sì gbà kúrò lọ́wọ́ mi. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ahunṣọ mo ti ká ayé mi nílẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni òun sì ti ké mi kúrò lára àṣà; ọ̀sán àti òru ni ìwọ ṣe òpin mi.
Mine habitation is departed, and is remoued from me, like a shepheards tent: I haue cut off like a weauer my life: he will cut me off from the height: from day to night, thou wilt make an ende of me.
13 Èmi fi sùúrù dúró títí di àfẹ̀mọ́júmọ́, ṣùgbọ́n gẹ́gẹ́ bí kìnnìún ó ti fọ́ gbogbo egungun mi; ọ̀sán àti òru ni ìwọ fi ṣe òpin mi.
I rekoned to the morning: but he brake all my bones, like a lion: from day to night wilt thou make an ende of me.
14 Èmi dún gẹ́gẹ́ bí àkọ̀ tàbí alápáǹdẹ̀dẹ̀, èmi káàánú gẹ́gẹ́ bí aṣọ̀fọ̀ àdàbà. Ojú mi rẹ̀wẹ̀sì gẹ́gẹ́ bí mo ti ń wo àwọn ọ̀run. Ìdààmú bá mi, Ìwọ Olúwa, wá fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ mi!”
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourne as a doue: mine eies were lift vp on high: O Lord, it hath oppressed me, comfort me.
15 Ṣùgbọ́n kí ni èmi lè sọ? Òun ti bá mi sọ̀rọ̀ àti pé òun tìkára rẹ̀ ló ti ṣe èyí. Èmi yóò máa rìn ní ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ ní gbogbo ọjọ́ mi nítorí ìpọ́njú ẹ̀mí mi yìí.
What shall I say? for he hath said it to me, and he hath done it: I shall walke weakely all my yeeres in the bitternesse of my soule.
16 Olúwa, nípa nǹkan báwọ̀nyí ni àwọn ènìyàn ń gbé; àti pé ẹ̀mí mi rí iyè nínú wọn pẹ̀lú. Ìwọ dá ìlera mi padà kí o sì jẹ́ kí n wà láààyè.
O Lord, to them that ouerliue them, and to all that are in them, the life of my spirite shalbe knowen, that thou causedst me to sleepe and hast giuen life to me.
17 Nítòótọ́ fún àlàáfíà ara mi ni, ní ti pé mo ní ìkorò ńlá. Nínú ìfẹ́ rẹ ìwọ pa mí mọ́, kúrò nínú ọ̀gbun ìparun; ìwọ sì ti fi gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi sí ẹ̀yìn rẹ.
Beholde, for felicitie I had bitter griefe, but it was thy pleasure to deliuer my soule from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sinnes behinde thy backe.
18 Nítorí pé isà òkú kò le è yìn ọ́, ipò òkú kò le è kọ orin ìyìn rẹ; àwọn tí ó sọ̀kalẹ̀ sínú ọ̀gbun kò lè ní ìrètí fún òtítọ́ rẹ. (Sheol )
For the graue cannot confesse thee: death cannot praise thee: they that goe downe into the pit, cannot hope for thy trueth. (Sheol )
19 Alààyè, àwọn alààyè wọ́n ń yìn ọ́, gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi ti ń ṣe lónìí; àwọn baba sọ fún àwọn ọmọ wọn nípa òtítọ́ rẹ.
But the liuing, the liuing, he shall confesse thee, as I doe this day: the father to the children shall declare thy trueth.
20 Olúwa yóò gbà mí là bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa yóò sì kọrin pẹ̀lú ohun èlò olókùn ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ayé wa nínú tẹmpili ti Olúwa.
The Lord was ready to saue me: therefore we will sing my song, all the dayes of our life in the House of the Lord.
21 Isaiah ti sọ pé, “Pèsè ìṣù ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ (ohun gbígbóná tí a dì mọ́ ojú egbò) kí o sì fi sí ojú oówo náà, òun yóò sì gbádùn.”
Then said Isaiah, Take a lumpe of drye figs and lay it vpon the boyle, and he shall recouer.
22 Hesekiah sì béèrè pé, “Kí ni yóò jẹ́ àmì pé èmi yóò gòkè lọ sí tẹmpili Olúwa?”
Also Hezekiah had said, What is ye signe, that I shall goe vp into the House of the Lord?
