< Isaiah 33 >

1 Ègbé ni fún ọ, ìwọ apanirun, ìwọ tí a kò tí ì parun! Ègbé ni fún ọ, ìwọ ọ̀dàlẹ̀, ìwọ tí a kò tí ì dà ọ́! Nígbà tí o bá dẹ́kun à ń pa ni run; a ó pa ìwọ náà run, nígbà tí o bá dẹ́kun à ń dani, a ó da ìwọ náà.
Woe to thee that wastest, while thou wast not wasted; and traitor, while men dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt have made an end of wasting, thou shalt be wasted, and when thou shalt have finished to deal treacherously, men shall deal treacherously with thee.
2 Olúwa ṣàánú fún wa àwa ń ṣàfẹ́rí i rẹ. Máa jẹ́ agbára wa ní òròòwúrọ̀ ìgbàlà wa ní àsìkò ìpọ́njú.
O Lord, be gracious; we have waited for thee: be thou their support every morning, also our salvation in the time of trouble.
3 Ní ìkérara ohùn rẹ, àwọn ènìyàn sá, nígbà tí o dìde sókè, àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè fọ́nká.
At the noise of [thy] thunder people fled; when thou liftedst thyself up nations were scattered.
4 Ìkógun rẹ, ìwọ orílẹ̀-èdè ni a kórè gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti ọ̀dọ́ eṣú; gẹ́gẹ́ bí àkójọpọ̀ eṣú, àwọn ènìyàn wọ ibẹ̀.
And your spoil shall be gathered as the cricket gathereth: as locusts run about, so shall people hasten after it.
5 A gbé Olúwa ga, nítorí pé ó ń gbé ibi gíga, Òun yóò kún Sioni pẹ̀lú ẹ̀tọ́ àti òdodo.
The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high; he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Òun yóò jẹ́ ìpìlẹ̀ tí ó dájú fún àkókò rẹ ibùjókòó ìgbàlà kíkún àti ọgbọ́n òun ìmọ̀; ìbẹ̀rù Olúwa ni kọ́kọ́rọ́ sí ìṣúra yìí.
And the stability of thy times and the strength of thy happiness shall be wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
7 Wò ó, àwọn onígboyà ọkùnrin wọn pohùnréré ẹkún ní òpópónà; àwọn ikọ̀ àlàáfíà sọkún kíkorò.
Behold, their valiant ones cry without: the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 Àwọn ojú ọ̀nà ńlá ni a ṣá tì, kò sí arìnrìn-àjò kankan ní ojú ọ̀nà. A ti ba àdéhùn jẹ́, a kẹ́gàn àwọn ẹlẹ́rìí, a kò bu ọlá fún ẹnikẹ́ni.
The highways lie waste, ceased hath the wayfaring traveler: he hath broken the covenant, he despiseth cities, he regardeth not man.
9 Ilẹ̀ ṣọ̀fọ̀ ó sì ṣòfò dànù, ojú ti Lebanoni ó sì sá Ṣaroni sì dàbí aginjù, àti Baṣani òun Karmeli rẹ àwọn èwe wọn.
It mourneth, it languisheth—the land: Lebanon is ashamed, it is withered away; Sharon is become like a wilderness; and bereft of their fruits are Bashan and Carmel.
10 “Ní ìsinsin yìí ni èmi yóò dìde,” ni Olúwa wí. “Ní ìsinsin yìí ni a ó gbé mi ga, ní ìsinsin yìí ni a ó gbé mi sókè.
Now will I arise, saith the Lord; now will I raise myself; now will I lift myself up.
11 Ìwọ lóyún ìyàngbò, o sì bí koríko; èémí yín bí iná tí yóò jẹ yín run.
Ye shall be pregnant with hay, [and] ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire, which shall devour you.
12 A ó jó àwọn ènìyàn run bí eérú; bí igbó ẹ̀gún tí a gé la ó dáná sí wọn.”
And the people shall be burnt as lime: as cut-off thorns shall they blaze up in fire.
13 Ìwọ tí ó wà lọ́nà jíjìn, gbọ́ ohun tí mo ti ṣe; ìwọ tí ò ń bẹ nítòsí, jẹ́rìí agbára mi!
Hear, ye distant ones, what I have done; and acknowledge ye that are near my might.
In Zion sinners are in dread; trembling hath seized on hypocrites. “Who among us shall abide with the devouring fire? who among us shall abide with everlasting burnings?”
15 Ẹni tí ó ń rìn lódodo tí ó ń sọ ohun tí ó tọ́, tí ó kọ èrè tí ó ti ibi ìlọ́nilọ́wọ́gbà wá, tí ó sì pa ọwọ́ rẹ̀ mọ́ kúrò nínú gbígba àbẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀, tí ó di etí rẹ̀ sí ọ̀tẹ̀ láti pànìyàn tí ó sì di ojú rẹ̀ sí à ti pète ibi,
He that walketh in righteousness, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands against taking hold of bribes, that stoppeth his ears against hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes against looking on evil;
16 Òun náà yóò gbé ní ibi gíga, ibi ààbò rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ òkè ńlá olódi. A ó mú oúnjẹ fún un, omi rẹ̀ yóò sì dájú.
He shall dwell on high; rocky strongholds shall be his refuge: his bread shall be given him; his water shall be sure.
17 Ojú rẹ yóò rí ọba nínú ẹwà rẹ̀ yóò sì rí ilẹ̀ kan tí ó tẹ́ lọ rẹrẹẹrẹ.
The king in his beauty shall thy eyes behold: they shall see a far-off land.
18 Nínú èrò rẹ ìwọ yóò rántí ẹ̀rù rẹ àtẹ̀yìnwá: “Níbo ni ọ̀gá àgbà náà wà? Níbo ni ẹni tí ń gba owó òde wà? Níbo ni òṣìṣẹ́ ti ó ń mójútó ilé ìṣọ́ wà?”
Thy heart shall meditate [on past] terror. “Where is who wrote down? where is he that weighed? where is he that counted the towers?”
19 Ìwọ kì yóò rí àwọn agbéraga ènìyàn mọ́, àwọn ènìyàn tí èdè wọn fi ara sin, pẹ̀lú ahọ́n tí ó ṣàjèjì tí kò sì yé ni.
The barbarous people shalt thou not see any more, the people of a speech too obscure to be understood, of a stammering tongue, without meaning.
20 Gbójú sókè sí Sioni, ìlú àjọ̀dún wa, ojú rẹ yóò rí Jerusalẹmu, ibùgbé àlàáfíà n nì, àgọ́ tí a kò ní yí padà; àwọn òpó rẹ̀ ni a kì yóò fàtu tàbí èyíkéyìí nínú okùn rẹ̀ kí já.
Look on Zion, the town of our solemn assemblies; thy eyes shall see Jerusalem as an undisturbed residence, a tent that shall not be struck for removal; not one of the stakes of which shall ever be moved, and all the cords of which shall never be torn loose.
21 Níbẹ̀ ni Olúwa yóò ti jẹ́ alágbára kan fún wa. Yóò sì dàbí ibi àwọn odò ńlá ńlá àti odò kéékèèké. Kì yóò sí ọkọ̀ ojú omi pẹ̀lú tí yóò kọjá lórí i wọn, ọkọ̀ ojú omi ńlá ni a kì yóò tù lórí wọn.
But there will the Lord [show himself] mighty unto us, [in] a place of rivers and streams of ample breadth; wherein no oared galley shall go, and a gallant ship shall not pass thereby.
22 Nítorí Olúwa ni onídàájọ́ wa, Olúwa ni onídàájọ́ wa, Olúwa òun ni ọba wa; òun ni ẹni tí yóò gbà wá là.
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.
23 Gbogbo okùn rẹ ni ó ti dẹ̀: Ìgbókùnró kò fìdímúlẹ̀, wọn kò taṣọ agbọ́kọ̀rìn, lẹ́yìn náà, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ìkógun ni a ó pín àní arọ pẹ̀lú yóò ru ìkógun lọ.
Loose hang thy tacklings; they cannot well uphold strongly their mast, they cannot spread the sail. Then are divided booty and spoil in abundance, [even] the lame take the booty.
24 Kò sí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ń gbé Sioni tí yóò wí pé, “Ara mi kò yá,” a ó dárí gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àwọn ènìyàn tí ń gbé ibẹ̀ jì wọ́n.
And no inhabitant shall say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be one whose iniquity is forgiven.
