< Isaiah 30 >

1 “Ègbé ni àwọn ọmọ fún orílẹ̀-èdè alágídí,” ni Olúwa wí, “Fún àwọn tí ó gbé ètò jáde tí kì í ṣe tèmi, tí wọ́n ń gbìmọ̀ pọ̀, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe nípa Ẹ̀mí mi, tí wọ́n ń dá ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ lórí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀;
Wo to the rebellious children, sayth the Lord, that take counsell, but not of me, and couer with a couering, but not by my spirit, that they may lay sinne vpon sinne:
2 tí wọ́n lọ sí Ejibiti láìṣe fún mi, tí ó ń wá ìrànlọ́wọ́ lọ́dọ̀ Farao fún ààbò, sí òjìji Ejibiti fún ibi ìsádi.
Which walke forth to goe downe into Egypt (and haue not asked at my mouth) to strengthen them selues with the strength of Pharaoh, and trust in the shadowe of Egypt.
3 Ṣùgbọ́n ààbò Farao yóò jásí ìtìjú fún un yín, òjìji Ejibiti yóò mú àbùkù bá a yín.
But the strength of Pharaoh shalbe your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
4 Bí àwọn olórí rẹ tilẹ̀ wà ní Ṣoani, tí àwọn ikọ̀ wọn sì ti dé sí Hanisi,
For his princes were at Zoan, and his Ambassadours came vnto Hanes.
5 gbogbo wọn ni a ó dójútì, nítorí àwọn ènìyàn kan tí kò wúlò fún wọn, tí kò mú ìrànlọ́wọ́ tàbí àǹfààní wá, bí kò ṣe àbùkù àti ìdójúti ni.”
They shalbe all ashamed of the people that cannot profite them, nor helpe nor doe them good, but shalbe a shame and also a reproche.
6 Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ sí àwọn ẹranko tí ó wà ní gúúsù. Láàrín ilẹ̀ ìnira àti ìpọ́njú, ti kìnnìún àti abo kìnnìún ti paramọ́lẹ̀ àti ejò olóró, àwọn ikọ̀ náà kó ẹrù àti ọrọ̀ wọn lẹ́yìn àwọn kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́, àwọn ohun ìní wọn ní orí àwọn ìbákasẹ, sí orílẹ̀-èdè aláìlérè,
The burden of the beasts of the South, in a land of trouble and anguish, from whence shall come the yong and olde lyon, the viper and fierie flying serpent against them that shall beare their riches vpon the shoulders of the coltes, and their treasures vpon the bounches of the camels, to a people that cannot profite.
7 sí Ejibiti tí ìrànlọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ kò wúlò rárá. Nítorí náà mo pè é ní Rahabu aláìlẹ́ṣẹ̀ nǹkan kan.
For the Egyptians are vanitie, and they shall helpe in vaine. Therefore haue I cried vnto her, Their strength is to sit still.
8 Lọ nísinsin yìí, kí o sì kọ ọ́ sí ara wàláà fún wọn, tẹ̀ ẹ́ sí ara ìwé kíká, pé fún àwọn ọjọ́ tí ó ń bọ̀ kí ó sì lè jẹ́ ẹ̀rí ayérayé.
Now go, and write it before them in a table, and note it in a booke that it may be for the last day for euer and euer:
9 Àwọn wọ̀nyí jẹ́ ọlọ̀tẹ̀ ènìyàn àti ẹlẹ́tanu ọmọ, àwọn ọmọ tí wọn kò ṣetán láti tẹ́tí sí ìtọ́ni Olúwa.
That it is a rebellious people, lying children, and children that would not heare the law of the Lord.
10 Wọ́n sọ fún àwọn aríran pé, “Ẹ má ṣe rí ìran mọ́!” Àti fún àwọn wòlíì, “Ẹ má ṣe fi ìran ohun tí ó tọ́ hàn wá mọ́! Ẹ sọ ohun tí ó tura fún wa, ẹ sàsọtẹ́lẹ̀ ẹ̀tàn.
Which say vnto the Seers, See not: and to the Prophets, Prophecie not vnto vs right things: but speake flattering things vnto vs: prophecie errours.
11 Ẹ fi ọ̀nà yìí sílẹ̀, ẹ kúrò ní ọ̀nà yìí ẹ dẹ́kun à ń dojú ìjà kọ wá pẹ̀lú Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli!”
Depart out of the way: go aside out of the path: cause the holy one of Israel to cease from vs.
12 Nítorí náà, èyí ni ohun tí Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli wí: “Nítorí pé ẹ ti kọ ọ̀rọ̀ yìí sílẹ̀, ẹ gbára lé ìnilára kí ẹ sì gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ẹ̀tàn,
Therefoe thus saith the holy one of Israel, Because you haue cast off this worde, and trust in violence, and wickednes, and stay thereupon,
13 ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yìí yóò rí fún ọ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ògiri gíga, tí ó sán tí ó sì fì tí ó sì wó lójijì, àti ní ìṣẹ́jú kan.
Therefore this iniquitie shalbe vnto you as a breach that falleth, or a swelling in an hie wall, whose breaking commeth suddenly in a moment.
14 Yóò sì fọ́ ọ sí wẹ́wẹ́ bí àpáàdì tí a fọ́ pátápátá àti pé a kò ní rí ẹ̀rún kan nínú àfọ́kù rẹ̀, fún mímú èédú kúrò nínú ààrò tàbí gbígbọ́n omi jáde kúrò nínú àmù.” (questioned)
And the breaking thereof is like the breaking of a potters pot, which is broken without pitie, and in the breaking thereof is not found a sheard to take fire out of the hearth, or to take water out of the pit.
15 Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè, Ẹni Mímọ́ ti Israẹli wí: “Nínú ìrònúpìwàdà àti ìsinmi ni ìgbàlà rẹ wà, ní ìdákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́ àti ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé ni agbára rẹ wà, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kì yóò ní ọ̀kankan nínú wọn.
For thus sayd the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel, In rest and quietnes shall ye be saued: in quietnes and in confidence shall be your strength, but ye would not.
16 Ẹ̀yin wí pé, ‘Bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́, àwa yóò sálọ lórí ẹṣin.’ Nítorí náà ẹ̀yin yóò sá! Ẹ̀yin wí pé, ‘Àwa yóò gun àwọn ẹṣin tí ó yára lọ.’ Nítorí náà àwọn tí ń lé e yín yóò yára!
For ye haue sayd, No, but we wil flee away vpon horses. Therefore shall ye flee. We will ride vpon the swiftest. Therefore shall your persecuters be swifter.
17 Ẹgbẹ̀rún yóò sá nípa ìdẹ́rùbà ẹnìkan; nípa ìdẹ́rùbà ẹni márùn-ún gbogbo yín lẹ ó sálọ, títí a ó fi yín sílẹ̀ àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí igi àsíá ní orí òkè, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àsíá lórí òkè.”
A thousand as one shall flee at the rebuke of one: at the rebuke of fiue shall ye flee, till ye be left as a ship maste vpon the top of a mountaine, and as a beaken vpon an hill.
18 Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ Olúwa sì fẹ́ síjú àánú wò ọ́; ó dìde láti ṣàánú fún ọ. Nítorí Olúwa jẹ́ Ọlọ́run ìdájọ́. Ìbùkún ni fún gbogbo àwọn tí ó dúró dè é!
Yet therefore will the Lord waite, that he may haue mercy vpon you, and therefore wil he be exalted, that hee may haue compassion vpon you: for the Lord is the God of iudgement. Blessed are all they that waite for him.
19 Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Sioni, tí ń gbé ní Jerusalẹmu, ìwọ kì yóò sọkún mọ́. Báwo ni àánú rẹ̀ yóò ti pọ̀ tó nígbà tí ìwọ bá kígbe fún ìrànlọ́wọ́! Bí ó bá ti gbọ́, òun yóò dá ọ lóhùn.
Surely a people shall dwell in Zion, and in Ierusalem: thou shalt weepe no more: he wil certainly haue mercy vpon thee at the voyce of thy crye: when he heareth thee, he wil answere thee.
20 Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé Olúwa fún ọ ní àkàrà ìyà àti omi ìpọ́njú, àwọn olùkọ́ rẹ kì yóò fi ara sin mọ́; pẹ̀lú ojú rẹ ni ìwọ ó rí wọn.
And when the Lord hath giuen you the bread of aduersitie, and the water of affliction, thy raine shalbe no more kept backe, but thine eyes shall see thy raine.
21 Bí o bá yí sápá ọ̀tún tàbí apá òsì, etí rẹ yóò máa gbọ́ ohùn kan lẹ́yìn rẹ, wí pé, “Ọ̀nà nìyìí, máa rìn nínú rẹ̀.”
And thine eares shall heare a worde behind thee, saying, This is the way, walke ye in it, when thou turnest to the right hand, and when thou turnest to the left.
22 Lẹ́yìn náà ni ẹ ó ba àwọn ère yín jẹ́ àwọn tí ẹ fi fàdákà bò àti àwọn ère tí ẹ fi wúrà bò pẹ̀lú, ẹ ó sọ wọ́n nù bí aṣọ tí obìnrin fi ṣe nǹkan oṣù ẹ ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ kúrò níbí!”
And ye shall pollute the couering of the images of siluer, and the riche ornament of thine images of golde, and cast them away as a menstruous cloth, and thou shalt say vnto it, Get thee hence.
23 Òun yóò sì rọ òjò fún un yín sí àwọn irúgbìn tí ẹ gbìn sórí ilẹ̀, oúnjẹ tí yóò ti ilẹ̀ náà wá yóò ní ọ̀rá yóò sì pọ̀. Ní ọjọ́ náà ni àwọn ẹran ọ̀sìn yín yóò máa jẹ koríko ní pápá oko tútù tí ó tẹ́jú.
Then shall hee giue raine vnto thy seede, when thou shalt sowe the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shalbe fat and as oyle: in that day shall thy cattell be fed in large pastures.
24 Àwọn màlúù àti àwọn kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ tí ó ń tú ilẹ̀ yóò jẹ oúnjẹ àdídùn tí a fi àmúga àti ṣọ́bìrì fọ́nkálẹ̀.
The oxen also and the yong asses, that till the ground, shall eate cleane prouender, which is winowed with the shoouel and with the fanne.
25 Ní ọjọ́ tí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ yóò sọ ẹ̀mí wọn nù nígbà tí ilé ìṣọ́ yóò wó lulẹ̀, odò omi yóò sàn lórí òkè gíga àti lórí àwọn òkè kékeré.
And vpon euery hie mountaine, and vpon euery hie hill shall there be riuers and streames of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers shall fall.
26 Òṣùpá yóò sì tàn bí oòrùn, àti ìtànṣán oòrùn yóò mọ́lẹ̀ ní ìlọ́po méje, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìmọ́lẹ̀ odidi ọjọ́ méje, nígbà tí Olúwa yóò di ojú ọgbẹ́ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ tí yóò sì wo ọgbẹ́ tí ó ti dá sí wọn lára sàn.
Moreouer, the light of the moone shall be as the light of the sunne, and the light of the sunne shalbe seuen folde, and like the light of seuen dayes in the day that the Lord shall binde vp the breach of his people, and heale the stroke of their wound.
27 Kíyèsi i, orúkọ Olúwa ti òkèèrè wá pẹ̀lú ìbínú gbígbóná àti kurukuru èéfín tí ó nípọn; ètè rẹ̀ kún fún ìbínú ahọ́n rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ iná ajónirun.
Beholde, the Name of the Lord commeth from farre, his face is burning, and the burden thereof is heauy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a deuouring fire.
28 Èémí rẹ̀ sì dàbí òjò alágbára, tí ó rú sókè dé ọ̀run. Ó jọ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè nínú kọ̀ǹkọ̀sọ̀; ó sì fi sí ìjánu ní àgbọ̀n àwọn ènìyàn láti ṣì wọ́n lọ́nà.
And his spirit is as a riuer that ouerfloweth vp to the necke: it deuideth asunder, to fanne the nations with the fanne of vanitie, and there shall be a bridle to cause them to erre in the chawes of the people.
29 Ẹ̀yin ó sì kọrin gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti alẹ́ tí ẹ̀ ń ṣe àjọyọ̀ àpéjọ mímọ́, ọkàn yín yóò yọ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìgbà tí àwọn ènìyàn gòkè lọ pẹ̀lú fèrè sí orí òkè Olúwa, àní sí àpáta Israẹli.
But there shall be a song vnto you as in the night, when solemne feast is kept: and gladnes of heart, as he that commeth with a pipe to goe vnto the mount of the Lord, to the mightie one of Israel.
30 Olúwa yóò jẹ́ kí wọn ó gbọ́ ohùn ògo rẹ̀ yóò sì jẹ́ kí wọ́n rí apá rẹ̀ tí ó ń bọ̀ wálẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìbínú gbígbóná àti iná ajónirun, pẹ̀lú mọ̀nàmọ́ná, àrá àti yìnyín.
And the Lord shall cause his glorious voyce to be heard, and shall declare the lighting downe of his arme with the anger of his countenance, and flame of a deuouring fire, with scattering and tempest, and hailestones.
31 Ohùn Olúwa yóò fọ́ Asiria túútúú, pẹ̀lú ọ̀pá aládé rẹ̀ ni yóò lù wọ́n bolẹ̀.
For with the voyce of the Lord shall Asshur be destroyed, which smote with the rod.
32 Ẹgba kọ̀ọ̀kan tí Olúwa bá gbé lé wọn pẹ̀lú ọ̀pá ìjẹníyà rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ ti ṣaworo àti ti dùùrù, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ń bá wọn jà lójú ogun pẹ̀lú ìkùùkuu láti apá rẹ̀.
And in euery place that ye staffe shall passe, it shall cleaue fast, which the Lord shall lay vpon him with tabrets and harpes: and with battels, and lifting vp of hands shall he fight against it.
33 A ti tọ́jú Tofeti sílẹ̀ tipẹ́tipẹ́, a ti tọ́jú rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ fún ọba. Ojú ààrò rẹ̀ ni a ti gbẹ́ jì tí ó sì fẹ̀, pẹ̀lú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ iná àti igi ìdáná; èémí Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìṣàn sulfuru ń jó ṣe mú un gbiná.
For Tophet is prepared of olde: it is euen prepared for the King: hee hath made it deepe and large: the burning thereof is fire and much wood: the breath of the Lord, like a riuer of brimstone, doeth kindle it.
