< Isaiah 2 >

1 Èyí ni ohun tí Isaiah ọmọ Amosi rí nípa Juda àti Jerusalẹmu.
The word that Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Ní ìgbẹ̀yìn ọjọ́ òkè tẹmpili Olúwa ni a ó fi ìdí rẹ̀ kalẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí olú nínú àwọn òkè, a ó sì gbé e ga ju àwọn òkè kéékèèké lọ, gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè yóò sì máa sàn sínú un rẹ̀.
And in the last days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be prepared at the summit of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills, and all the nations shall flow to it.
3 Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn ni yóò wá, wọn yóò sì wí pé, “Ẹ wá, ẹ jẹ́ kí á gòkè ńlá Olúwa, àti sí ilé Ọlọ́run Jakọbu. Òun yóò kọ́ wa ní ọ̀nà rẹ̀, kí àwa kí ó lè rìn ní ọ̀nà rẹ̀.” Òfin yóò jáde láti Sioni wá, àti ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa láti Jerusalẹmu.
And many peoples will go, and they will say: “Let us approach and ascend to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 Òun ó ṣe ìdájọ́ láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, yóò sì parí aáwọ̀ fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn. Wọn yóò fi idà wọn rọ ọkọ́ ìtulẹ̀, wọn yóò sì fi ọ̀kọ̀ wọn rọ dòjé. Orílẹ̀-èdè kì yóò sì gbé idà sí orílẹ̀-èdè mọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ní wọn kì yóò kọ́ ogun jíjà mọ́.
And he will judge the nations, and he will rebuke many peoples. And they shall forge their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they continue to train for battle.
5 Wá, ẹ̀yìn ará ilé e Jakọbu, ẹ jẹ́ kí a rìn nínú ìmọ́lẹ̀ Olúwa.
O house of Jacob, let us approach and walk in the light of the Lord.
6 Ìwọ ti kọ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ sílẹ̀, ìwọ ilé Jakọbu. Wọ́n kún fún ìgbàgbọ́ tí kò lẹ́sẹ̀ nílẹ̀ tí ó ti ìlà-oòrùn wá, wọ́n ń wo iṣẹ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn Filistini, wọ́n ń pa ọwọ́ pọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn abọ̀rìṣà.
For you have cast aside your people, the house of Jacob, because they have been filled up, as in past times, and because they have had soothsayers as the Philistines have, and because they have joined themselves to foreign servants.
7 Ilẹ̀ wọn kún fún fàdákà àti wúrà, ìṣúra wọn kò sì ní òpin. Ilẹ̀ ẹ wọn kún fún ẹṣin, kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun wọn kò sì lópin.
Their land has been filled with silver and gold. And there is no end to their storehouses.
8 Ilẹ̀ ẹ wọn kún fún ère, wọ́n sì ń foríbalẹ̀ fún iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ ara wọn, èyí tí ìka ọwọ́ àwọn tìkára wọn ti ṣe.
And their land has been filled with horses. And their four-horse chariots are innumerable. And their land has been filled with idols. They have adored the work of their hands, which their own fingers have made.
9 Nítorí náà ni a ó ṣe rẹ ènìyàn sílẹ̀ ìran ọmọ ènìyàn ni yóò sì di onírẹ̀lẹ̀, má ṣe dáríjì wọ́n.
And man has bowed himself down, and so man has become debased. Therefore, you should not forgive them.
10 Wọ inú àpáta lọ, fi ara pamọ́ nínú erùpẹ̀ kúrò nínú ìpayà Olúwa, àti ògo ọláńlá rẹ̀!
Enter into the rock, and hide in a ditch in the soil, from the presence of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty.
11 Ojú agbéraga ènìyàn ni a ó rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ a ó sì tẹrí ìgbéraga ènìyàn ba, Olúwa nìkan ṣoṣo ni a ó gbéga ní ọjọ́ náà.
The lofty eyes of man have been humbled, and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down. Then the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.
12 Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ní ọjọ́ kan ní ìpamọ́ fún gbogbo agbéraga àti ọlọ́kàn gíga nítorí gbogbo àwọn tí a gbéga (ni a ó rẹ̀ sílẹ̀),
For the day of the Lord of hosts will prevail over all the proud and self-exalted, and over all the arrogant, and each one shall be humbled,
13 nítorí gbogbo igi kedari Lebanoni, tó ga tó rìpó àti gbogbo óákù Baṣani,
and over all the straight and tall cedars of Lebanon, and over all the oaks of Bashan;
14 nítorí gbogbo òkè gíga ńlá ńlá àti àwọn òkè kéékèèké,
and over all the lofty mountains, and over all the elevated hills;
15 fún ilé ìṣọ́ gíga gíga àti àwọn odi ìdáàbòbò,
and over every lofty tower, and over every fortified wall;
16 fún gbogbo ọkọ̀ àwọn oníṣòwò àwọn ọkọ̀ tí a ṣe lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́.
and over all the ships of Tarshish, and over all the beauty that may be seen.
17 Ìgbéraga ènìyàn ni a ó tẹ̀ lórí ba a ó sì rẹ ìgbéraga ènìyàn sílẹ̀, Olúwa nìkan ṣoṣo ni a ó gbéga ní ọjọ́ náà,
And the loftiness of men will be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men will be brought low. And the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.
18 gbogbo ère òrìṣà yóò pòórá.
And idols will be thoroughly crushed.
19 Àwọn ènìyàn yóò sálọ sínú ihò àpáta àti sínú ihò ilẹ̀ kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìpayà Olúwa àti ògo ọláńlá rẹ̀, nígbà tí ó bá dìde láti mi ayé tìtì.
And they will go into the caves of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.
20 Ní ọjọ́ náà ni àwọn ènìyàn yóò máa sọ àwọn ère fàdákà àti ère wúrà tí wọ́n ti yá fún bíbọ sí èkúté àti àwọn àdán.
In that day, man shall cast aside his idols of silver and his images of gold, which he had made for himself, as if to reverence the moles and the bats.
21 Wọn yóò sálọ sínú ihò ìsàlẹ̀ àpáta àti sínú ihò pàlàpálá àpáta kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìpayà Olúwa àti ògo ọláńlá rẹ̀, nígbà tí ó bá dìde láti mi ayé tìtì.
And so he will go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the caverns of stone, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.
22 Dẹ́kun à ń gba ènìyàn gbọ́, èémí ẹni tó wà ní ihò imú rẹ̀. Nítorí nínú kín ni a lè kà á sí?
Therefore, rest away from man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for he considers himself to be exalted.
