< Isaiah 19 >

1 Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan Ejibiti. Kíyèsi i, Olúwa gun àwọsánmọ̀ tí ó yára lẹ́ṣin ó sì ń bọ̀ wá sí Ejibiti. Àwọn ère òrìṣà Ejibiti wárìrì níwájú rẹ̀, ọkàn àwọn ará Ejibiti sì ti domi nínú wọn.
A declaration about Egypt. See, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt; the idols of Egypt quake before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within themselves.
2 “Èmi yóò rú àwọn ará Ejibiti sókè sí ara wọn arákùnrin yóò bá arákùnrin rẹ̀ jà, aládùúgbò yóò dìde sí aládùúgbò rẹ̀, ìlú yóò dìde sí ìlú, ilẹ̀ ọba sí ilẹ̀ ọba.
“I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians: A man will fight against his brother, and a man against his neighbor; city will be against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 Àwọn ará Ejibiti yóò sọ ìrètí nù, èmi yóò sì sọ èrò wọn gbogbo di òfo; wọn yóò bá àwọn òrìṣà àti ẹ̀mí àwọn òkú sọ̀rọ̀, àwọn awoṣẹ́ àti àwọn abókùúsọ̀rọ̀.
The spirit of Egypt will be weakened from within. I will destroy his advice, though they sought the advice of idols, dead men's spirits, mediums, and spiritualists.
4 Èmi yóò fi Ejibiti lé agbára àwọn ìkà amúnisìn lọ́wọ́, ọba aláìláàánú ni yóò jẹ ọba lé wọn lórí,” ni Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
I will give the Egyptians into the hand of a harsh master, and a strong king will rule over them— this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh of hosts.”
5 Gbogbo omi inú odò ni yóò gbẹ, gbogbo ilẹ̀ àyíká odò ni yóò gbẹ tí yóò sì sáàpá.
The waters of the sea will dry up, and the river will dry up and become empty.
6 Adágún omi yóò sì di rírùn; àwọn odò ilẹ̀ Ejibiti yóò máa dínkù wọn yóò sì gbẹ. Àwọn koríko odò àti ìrẹ̀tẹ̀ yóò gbẹ,
The rivers will become foul; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up; the reeds and flags will wither away.
7 àwọn igi ipadò Naili pẹ̀lú, tí ó wà ní orísun odò, gbogbo oko tí a dá sí ipadò Naili yóò gbẹ dànù tí yóò sì fẹ́ dànù tí kò sì ní sí mọ́.
The reeds along the Nile, at the mouth of the Nile, and every sown field beside the Nile will become parched, will be driven away, and will be no more.
8 Àwọn apẹja yóò sọkún kíkorò, àti gbogbo àwọn tí ó ń ju ìwọ̀ sínú odò; odò náà yóò sì máa rùn.
The fishermen will wail and mourn, and all who cast a hook into the Nile will mourn, and those who spread nets on the waters will grieve.
9 Àwọn tí ó ń ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú ọ̀gbọ̀ yóò kọminú àwọn ahunṣọ ọ̀gbọ̀ yóò sọ ìrètí nù.
The workers in combed flax and those who weave white cloth will turn pale.
10 Àwọn tí ń ṣiṣẹ́ aṣọ yóò rẹ̀wẹ̀sì, gbogbo àwọn oníṣẹ́ oṣù ni àìsàn ọkàn yóò ṣe.
The cloth workers of Egypt will be crushed; all who work for hire will be grieved within themselves.
11 Àwọn oníṣẹ́ Ṣoani ti di aláìgbọ́n, àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n olùdámọ̀ràn Farao ń mú ìmọ̀ràn àìgbọ́n wá. Báwo ló ṣe lè sọ fún Farao pé, “Mo jẹ́ ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n ènìyàn, ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn àwọn ọba àtijọ́.”
The princes of Zoan are completely foolish. The advice of the wisest advisors of Pharaoh has become senseless. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of wise men, a son of ancient kings?”
12 Níbo ni àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n ènìyàn rẹ wà báyìí? Jẹ́ kí wọn fihàn ọ́ kí wọn sì sọ ọ́ di mí mọ̀ ohun tí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ti pinnu lórí Ejibiti.
Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you and make known what Yahweh of hosts plans concerning Egypt.
13 Àwọn ọmọ-aládé Ṣoani ti di aṣiwèrè, a ti tan àwọn ọmọ-aládé Memfisi jẹ; àwọn òkúta igun ilé tí í ṣe ti ẹ̀yà rẹ ti ṣi Ejibiti lọ́nà.
The princes of Zoan have become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have made Egypt go astray, who are the cornerstones of her tribes.
14 Olúwa ti da ẹ̀mí òòyì sínú wọn; wọ́n mú Ejibiti ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n nínú ohun gbogbo tí ó ń ṣe, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀mùtí ti í ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n nínú èébì rẹ̀.
Yahweh has mixed a spirit of distortion into her midst, and they have led Egypt astray in all she does, like a drunk staggering in his vomit.
15 Kò sí ohun tí Ejibiti le ṣe— orí tàbí ìrù, ọ̀wá ọ̀pẹ tàbí koríko odò.
There is nothing anyone can do for Egypt, whether head or tail, palm branch or reed.
16 Ní ọjọ́ náà ni àwọn ará Ejibiti yóò dàbí obìnrin. Wọn yóò gbọ̀n jìnnìjìnnì pẹ̀lú ẹ̀rù nítorí ọwọ́ Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun tí a gbé sókè sí wọn.
In that day, the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the upraised hand of Yahweh of hosts that he raises over them.
17 Ilẹ̀ Juda yóò sì di ẹ̀rù fún Ejibiti; gbogbo àwọn tí a bá ti dárúkọ Juda létí wọn ni yóò wárìrì, nítorí ohun tí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun gbèrò láti ṣe sí wọn.
The land of Judah will become a cause of staggering to Egypt. Whenever anyone reminds them of her, they will be afraid, because of the plan of Yahweh, that he is planning against them.
18 Ní ọjọ́ náà ìlú márùn-ún ní ilẹ̀ Ejibiti yóò sọ èdè àwọn ará Kenaani, wọn yóò sì búra àtìlẹ́yìn fún Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun. Ọ̀kan nínú wọn ni a ó sì máa pè ní ìlú ìparun.
In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to Yahweh of hosts. One of these will be called The City of the Sun.
19 Ní ọjọ́ náà pẹpẹ kan yóò wà fún Olúwa ní àárín gbùngbùn Ejibiti, àti ọ̀wọ́n kan fún Olúwa ní etí bodè rẹ̀.
In that day there will be an altar to Yahweh in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a stone pillar at the border to Yahweh.
20 Yóò sì jẹ́ àmì àti ẹ̀rí sí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ní ilẹ̀ Ejibiti. Nígbà tí wọ́n bá ké pe Olúwa nítorí àwọn aninilára wọn, yóò rán olùgbàlà àti olùgbèjà kan sí wọn tí yóò sì gbà wọ́n sílẹ̀.
It will be as a sign and a witness to Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to Yahweh because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and a defender, and he will deliver them.
21 Báyìí ni Olúwa yóò sọ ara rẹ̀ di mí mọ̀ fún àwọn ará Ejibiti àti ní ọjọ́ náà ni wọn yóò gba Olúwa gbọ́. Wọn yóò sìn ín pẹ̀lú ẹbọ ọrẹ ìyẹ̀fun, wọn yóò jẹ́ ẹ̀jẹ́ fún Olúwa wọn yóò sì mú un ṣẹ.
Yahweh will become known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will acknowledge Yahweh on that day. They will worship with sacrifices and offerings, and will make vows to Yahweh and fulfill them.
22 Olúwa yóò fi àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn kan bá Ejibiti jà; yóò bá wọn jà yóò sì tún wò wọ́n sàn. Wọn yóò yípadà sí Olúwa, Òun yóò sì gbọ́ ẹ̀bẹ̀ wọn yóò sì wò wọ́n sàn.
Yahweh will afflict Egypt, afflicting and healing. They will return to Yahweh; he will hear their prayer and will heal them.
23 Ní ọjọ́ náà òpópónà kan yóò wá láti Ejibiti lọ sí Asiria. Àwọn ará Asiria yóò lọ sí Ejibiti àti àwọn ará Ejibiti lọ sí Asiria. Àwọn ará Ejibiti àti ará Asiria yóò jọ́sìn papọ̀.
In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come to Egypt, and the Egyptian to Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.
24 Ní ọjọ́ náà Israẹli yóò di ẹ̀kẹta pẹ̀lú Ejibiti àti Asiria, àní orísun ìbùkún ní ilẹ̀ ayé.
In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;
25 Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun yóò bùkún wọn yóò wí pé, “Ìbùkún ni fún Ejibiti ènìyàn mi, Asiria iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ mi, àti Israẹli ìní mi.”
Yahweh of hosts will bless them and say, “Blessed be Egypt, my people; Assyria, the work of my hands; and Israel, my inheritance.”
