< Isaiah 16 >
1 Fi ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn ṣe ẹ̀bùn ránṣẹ́ sí aláṣẹ ilẹ̀ náà, láti Sela, kọjá ní aginjù, lọ sí orí òkè ọ̀dọ́mọbìnrin Sioni.
Send ye the lambs to the ruler of the land, From Selah through the wilderness To the mount of the daughter of Zion!
2 Gẹ́gẹ́ bí alárìnkiri ẹyẹ tí a tì jáde kúrò nínú ìtẹ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni àwọn obìnrin Moabu ní àwọn ìwọdò Arnoni.
For as a wandering bird, As a forthdriven nest, So shall be the daughters of Moab At the fords of Arnon; [[saying, ]]
3 “Fún wa ní ìmọ̀ràn ṣe ìpinnu fún wa. Jẹ́ kí òjìji rẹ dàbí òru, ní ọ̀sán gangan. Fi àwọn ìsáǹsá pamọ́, má ṣe fi àwọn aṣàtìpó han.
“Offer counsel; give decision, Make thy shadow at noonday like the darkness of night. Hide the outcasts; Betray not the fugitives.
4 Jẹ́ kí àwọn ìsáǹsá Moabu gbé pẹ̀lú rẹ, jẹ́ ààbò fún wọn kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìparun.” Aninilára yóò wá sí òpin, ìparun yóò dáwọ́ dúró; òfinràn yóò pòórá kúrò lórí ilẹ̀.
Let my outcasts dwell with thee, [[O Zion!]] Be thou to them a covert from the spoiler! For the extortion is at an end, The spoiling ceaseth. The oppressors are consumed from the land.
5 Nínú ìfẹ́ a ó fi ìdí ìjọba kan múlẹ̀, ní òdodo ọkùnrin kan yóò jókòó lórí rẹ̀ ẹnìkan láti ilé Dafidi wá. Ẹni yóò ṣe ìdájọ́, yóò sì máa wá ìdájọ́, yóò sì máa yára wá ohun tí í ṣe òdodo.
Then shall your throne be established through mercy, And upon it shall sit in the house of David A judge searching for justice, and prompt in equity.”
6 Àwa ti gbọ́ nípa ìgbéraga Moabu, ìwọ̀sí ìgbéraga rẹ̀ àti fùlenge fùlenge, gààrù rẹ̀ àti àfojúdi rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ìfọ́nnu rẹ̀ jẹ́ ìmúlẹ̀mófo.
“We have beard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud; His haughtiness, and his pride, and his insolence, His vain boastings.”
7 Nítorí náà ni àwọn ará Moabu hu, wọ́n jùmọ̀ hu lórí Moabu. Sọkún kí o sì banújẹ́ fún àkàrà díndín Kiri-Hareseti.
Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab; Every one shall howl; For the ruins of Kir-hares shall ye mourn, In deep affliction.
8 Gbogbo pápá oko Heṣboni ti gbẹ, bákan náà ni àjàrà Sibma rí. Àwọn aláṣẹ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè wọ́n tẹ àwọn àyànfẹ́ àjàrà mọ́lẹ̀, èyí tí ó ti fà dé Jaseri ó sì ti tàn dé agbègbè aginjù. Àwọn èhíhù rẹ̀ fọ́n jáde, ó sì lọ títí ó fi dé Òkun.
For the fields of Heshbon languish, The lords of the nations break down the choicest shoots of the vine of Sibmah, They reached even to Jazer; they wandered into the desert; Her branches were spread out; they crossed the sea.
9 Nítorí náà mo sọkún, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jaseri ṣe sọkún, fún àwọn àjàrà Sibma. Ìwọ Heṣboni, ìwọ Eleale, mo bomirin ọ́ pẹ̀lú omi ojú! Igbe ayọ̀ lórí àwọn èso pípọ́n rẹ àti lórí ìkórè èyí tí o ti mọ́wọ́ dúró.
Therefore I will weep, like Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah; I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealah, For upon thy summer fruits, and thy harvest, the war-shout is fallen.
10 Ayọ̀ àti ìdùnnú ni a ti mú kúrò nínú ọgbà-igi eléso rẹ; kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó kọrin tàbí kígbe nínú ọgbà àjàrà: ẹnikẹ́ni kò fún ọtí níbi ìfúntí, nítorí mo ti fi òpin sí gbogbo igbe.
Gladness and joy are driven from the fruitful field, And in the vineyards is no singing nor shouting; The treaders tread out no wine in their vats; I have made the vintage-shouting to cease.
11 Ọkàn mi kérora fún Moabu gẹ́gẹ́ bí i dùùrù, àní tọkàntọkàn mi fún ìlú Kiri-Hareseti.
Therefore shall my bowels sound like a harp for Moab, And my inward parts for Kir-hares.
12 Nígbà tí Moabu farahàn ní ibi gíga rẹ̀, ó ṣe ara rẹ̀ ní wàhálà lásán; nígbà tí ó lọ sí ojúbọ rẹ̀ láti gbàdúrà òfo ni ó jásí.
And it shall come to pass that though Moab present himself, Though he weary himself upon his high places, And go up to his sanctuary to pray, Yet shall he not prevail.
13 Èyí ni ọ̀rọ̀ tí Olúwa ti sọ nípa Moabu.
This is the word which Jehovah spake concerning Moab of old.
14 Ṣùgbọ́n ní àkókò yìí Olúwa wí pé, “Láàrín ọdún mẹ́ta gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ̀fà tí ó wà lábẹ́ ìdè ọgbà rẹ̀ ti máa kà á, ògo Moabu àti àwọn ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn rẹ̀ ni a ó kẹ́gàn, àwọn tí ó sálà nínú rẹ̀ yóò kéré níye, wọn yóò sì jẹ́ akúrẹtẹ̀.”
But now saith Jehovah: Within three years, like the years of a hireling, The glory of Moab shall be put to shame, With all his great multitude; And the remnant shall be very small, and without strength.
