< Isaiah 15 >
1 Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan Moabu, a pa Ari run ní Moabu, òru kan ní a pa á run! A pa Kiri run ní Moabu, òru kan ní a pa á run!
This is the burden against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is devastated, destroyed in a night!
2 Diboni gòkè lọ sí tẹmpili rẹ̀, sí àwọn ibi gíga rẹ̀ láti sọkún, Moabu pohùnréré lórí Nebo àti Medeba. Gbogbo orí ni a fá gbogbo irùngbọ̀n ni a gé dànù.
Dibon goes up to its temple to weep at its high places. Moab wails over Nebo, as well as over Medeba. Every head is shaved, every beard is cut off.
3 Wọ́n wọ aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀ ní ojú òpópónà, ní àwọn òrùlé àti àwọn gbàgede ìlú. Wọ́n pohùnréré, wọ́n dọ̀bálẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ẹkún.
In its streets they wear sackcloth; on the rooftops and in the public squares they all wail, falling down weeping.
4 Heṣboni àti Eleale ké sóde, ohùn wọn ni a gbọ́ títí fi dé Jahasi. Nítorí náà ni àwọn ọmọ-ogun Moabu ṣe kígbe tí ọkàn wọn sì rẹ̀wẹ̀sì.
Heshbon and Elealeh cry out; their voices are heard as far as Jahaz. Therefore the soldiers of Moab cry out; their souls tremble within.
5 Ọkàn mi kígbe sókè lórí Moabu; àwọn ìsáǹsá rẹ sálà títí dé Soari, títí fi dé Eglati-Ṣeliṣi. Wọ́n gòkè lọ títí dé Luhiti wọ́n ń sọkún bí wọ́n ti ń lọ, ní òpópónà tí ó lọ sí Horonaimu wọ́n ń pohùnréré ìparun wọn.
My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath-shelishiyah. With weeping they ascend the slope of Luhith; they lament their destruction on the road to Horonaim.
6 Gbogbo omi Nimrimu ni ó ti gbẹ àwọn koríko sì ti gbẹ, gbogbo ewéko ti tán ewé tútù kankan kò sí mọ́.
The waters of Nimrim are dried up, and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone, and the greenery is no more.
7 Báyìí gbogbo ọrọ̀ tí wọ́n ti ní tí wọ́n sì tò jọ wọ́n ti kó wọn kọjá lọ lórí i gẹ̀rẹ́gẹ̀rẹ́ odò Poplari.
So they carry their wealth and belongings over the Brook of the Willows.
8 Gbohùngbohùn ń gba igbe wọn dé ìpẹ̀kun ilẹ̀ Moabu; ìpohùnréré wọn lọ títí dé Eglaimu, igbe ẹkún wọn ni a gbọ́ títí dé kànga Elimu.
For their outcry echoes to the border of Moab. Their wailing reaches Eglaim; it is heard in Beer-elim.
9 Omi Dimoni kún fún ẹ̀jẹ̀, síbẹ̀ èmi ó tún mu ohun tí ó jù báyìí lọ wá sórí Dimoni— kìnnìún kan wá sórí àwọn ìsáǹsá Moabu àti lórí àwọn tí ó tún ṣẹ́kù sórí ilẹ̀ náà.
The waters of Dimon are full of blood, but I will bring more upon Dimon— a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon the remnant of the land.
